  1. First of all, great review!! and the final pictures of metroliners with club car and 4564 on the set of 4554 and 4555 is the exactly what I want to do... thanks for showing me my dream 9v train scene.. :)
  2. I Do agree cannot agree with you more. I have had bad experience of buying and building used lego set. 10197, smelly (smoke) and missing bricks though seller proudly mentioned 100% complete, but 8 missing pieces and one extra 1x8 tile bricks...which is impossible for lego set. Since then, no used set for modular.. Train...I have bought second hand 4512 and 4564 ...overall condition was relatively better than 10197, but since they are used set....worn out edge of train logo stickers... foggy, scratched wind screen... a bit scratched of plate's edge...and...had to wash again as i cannot know where all these bricks have come from.... the one of the issues of used set is loosen clutch power. In case of 4564, the 2x2 of rear coupling holder was loose...so every time it is connected with rear cargo train, it was disassembled as the clutch power was loose...annoyed..also, since the set was so great and I liked it. I decided to buy new one and...purchased it...Happy...new is the answer if you really really want it..
  3. Hi, I have recently started my 9V train journey after graduating Modular set. This 9v Train...wow...such an amazing theme and i can't stop searching and watching videos related to this hours and hours...every day...Among the great sets of lego 9v trains such as 4558, 4551, the freight train sets are also very interesting and attractive, mainly due to its unique design and cargo wagon, loading various cargos and playability I assume. So, in my opinion, both 4563 and 4564 are the two best freight trains sets of 90s 9V era. I wonder which set is your preferred set if you have to choose one set? and what is the reason that you chose that set? Any comments, thoughts about those two set would be appreciate!! Thank you!
  4. I agree. Very strong clutch power. Probably made of new MISB bricks I assume? :)
  5. Hi Lego fans! I wonder is there any import tax of lego set from Australia to UK? Since I live in London, I used to search my wish set within the EU to save shipping cost and also there is no import tax within EU. However, I have been told there is income tax from outside of EU. Have anyone ordered and received a set from Australia? if so, how much was the import tax? any comments or advice would be appreciated. Thank you!!!
  6. Thank you, I have read it with joy. It seems that the catalogue and electric train set install instruction sheet, which was included in 4558, is not included in this set.
  7. Hi, First of all, thank you for all your replies on my first post of polishing lego clear parts. My another question is about the inner contents of Metroliner 4558. As you guys all know, this great train set was re-released in 2001 with the set number 10001 with black and white box. As far as I know, before I get into 'dark age' of my Lego back in 1990, the last set was 6285, and at that time the inside contents was not just sealed brick bags and instruction, but Catalogue and extra manual sheet, if needed. I did some research and found that the original 4558 set contains great catalogue and extra manual sheet of operating electric train system. I wonder whether the inner contents of 10001 is as same as 4558. Of course the catalogue could not be same as it was released in 2001, but what about other inner contents? Thank you~
  8. Thank you, then I will try NOVUS..But still not so sure whether I should start from #2 or #1 first...
  9. Thanks for your response. Lego historian. mine is 4564 so I assume the original condition might be better than this one. Since this set was released in 1994, I think the level of transparency was might be far left or second from left. So, would it be still risky to try Novus ?
  10. Thank you. The condition of my windscreen seems a bit foggy as there are some scratches. Then I just need #1? or even need #2?
  11. Amazing!!! Did you make this only by using original bike shop bricks??
  12. Hi, I recently joined the Eurobrick and bought a 4564 used set. The overall condition was great but, windscreen was a bit foggy. I did some research and found that Pledge with Future shine is effective for polishing the transparent LEGO parts. But I was told that this product is no more available in UK but there is a Pledge Klear Multi-surface wax floor shine is on the market. Is there anyone who has tried this product? or is there any good material or similar product to polish the clear parts of Lego? Thank you!
