  1. The color palette is brilliant, the wall techniques are great too and so is the vegetation and the baseplate. I am not fond of the 2-style roofing as I would either pick wood log/round bricks (as first choice) or the shield-type tile ones but not mixed them. Regarding 3rd party minifigs, while owning some of them myself to test them out, I find them a bit too detailed when mixed with LEGO bricks and minis. Their acessories are a total different story though...!!!
  2. @Wellesley Just WOW!!! Excellent painting! In fact, any depiction of sea scenes especially with sailing ships is great!!! If I had to comment LEGO style, I see great techniques all around ; waves, clouds, the sails, all are wonderful !!!
  3. I simply love it!!! Great ode to the old ship and definitely more affordable
  4. Oh, how on earth do you remember that challenge? Happy times...! @Ayrlego figbarfing is always good and fairly easy to participate so the more the better, although the challenge stars are and always will be the "normal" ones (or the vignettes that are kind of both figbarf and small scale building).
  5. Les Alpinistes! Beautiful vignette and extraordinary photo editing skills! Great to have you on board! And don't worry about low mountains at El Oleonda. The painter surely exaggerated things to impress. Or there is at least one peak that high that we absolutely needed a flag placed! You know, for vanity reasons.
  6. First of all, @Ayrlego my friend I am envying you for getting those torsos! Drool, drool and drool! I guess we must put some pressure on those certified LEGO store of us to keep up faster... Secondly, once more I am loving that specific building style of yours. It walks effortlessly between classic builds and overly detailed builds. Not so many builders can achieve that with such consistency. But I have already told you so many times before, so I can proceed to the third and last comment: Bury those fleshies under tons of TLG wheels and tires (I am sure there are tons of these, readily available everywhere)!!!! They are sacrilegious. Vive le Roi classic yellow (and medium nougat because you know, sometimes it is lovely bearable)! Oh, and boo on that cut spear. But at least you've created the perfect lance...!
  7. Pure magic! Background is epic, carriage tent is the best I've seen so far in a moc (and believe me I've looked hundreds... ), trees techniques are really clever and the lady riding "sideways" (?) (or whatever this style is called) is nice too. All in all it it oozes serenity!
  8. The new Friends theater is an excellent set to use as Napoleonic era/Revolutionary theater!
  9. That imagination and creativity amazes me! Now you must try those minifig baby bodies with their detachable head! Awaiting the results!
  10. The tree looks epic and so does the base (as usual). The soldiers (a nice experiment btw ) remind me something between boyars, WWI eastern European troops and Russian revolution troops.
  11. Gief molded animals to the people! Sheep are appearing everywhere these days and it's a pity that we can't get boars, rams, more goats and properly molded medieval dragons.
  12. Chima should return! Plenty of awesome minifig parts!
  13. Done and done. If you remember it by then, feel free to send a copy of your work when completed or give it to EB staff to post it online. It would be fun to read.
  14. Epic build, especially the interior which looks very lifelike! Kudos on the chandelier too! Judging from the rat parts at the facade though, the press should be called "The Kings Port rat" Seriously now, where does this rat piece come from? Can this be incorporated in a BBQ moc horizontally on a stick, over the fire?
  15. Pirate extravaganza! I loved it! Nice and innovative furniture too!
  16. I really love that boat! Well, both boats actually!
