Excellent build and nice tree! As CapOnBOBS said, the studded/tiled difference is really well thought! -
[COR-TROOP] Mooreton Bay Militia Second Company

Nice, solid build. Minifigs look indeed beautiful (although they sport uniforms made a century earlier - Corries certainly don't have money to properly dress their soldiers these days... Muhahahaha!) -

[COR-FB] Same Stars, Different Names
blackdeathgr replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
What an excellent idea!!!!! Nicely executed too! Only thing I would consider altering, it would be the ground as anything dark (but not dark bluish gray) would make the (nevertheless obvious) distinction between earth and sky a bit easier. Also I really like that you don't fear using colors like purple in your builds. Its something I strive with, so I almost never use them which is a shame.- 8 replies

[COR-FB] A Day Trip to the Interior
blackdeathgr replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice one! Great rockwork, and color sceme (rocks, water, trees). Oh and that semi derelict bridge looks epic with the chains!!! I believe the natives left it there as a trap... If I had to improve something, it would be the trees technique (slimmer trunks and more leaves would better complement your lovely build). By the way TLG it's time to finally make a short carbine for our lovely BOBS cavalry!!! Let's petition!- 8 replies

Another really nice build (as always from someone that doesn't stop experimenting). Although I consider myself to be a classic lover, when dark red entered the scope of LEGO colors, it immediately became one of my favourites (so "egg yolk" yellow looks funny to me). Regarding those new animals, well, we've been waiting ages for new molds so nowadays we must really feel happy (chameleon, turtles, flamencos, doves, throngs of dogs etc) All in all, a tribute to classics with a great design and innovative colors!

[GOC-FB-COR] Hussar's Isle Semaphore
blackdeathgr replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Although you Corries clearly stole the idea from Oleon (which in turn stole the idea from Hornblower ) semaphores are always an interesting topic and a sight to behold. I really love your rockwork and the shore too!- 9 replies

Nice ship (I particularly like the low cabin and the brick built sails) and surrounding land buildings. -
Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion, Era II
blackdeathgr replied to blackdeathgr's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Ahahahahaha! To be fair, at the era we simulate here in BoBS, the majority of common people were illiterate so, slander away my dear! Post whatever you like in that yellow press of yours! -
Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion, Era II
blackdeathgr replied to blackdeathgr's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A drunken sailor drinking some more in a local tavern after being read (being illiterate himself) the Corrish proclamation of "colonial war" as they like to call it: "Those Corries never learn... boohoo Corries...boohoo... More wine to everyone please and a toast to our gracious King Philip I" -

[Merrymas] Organising a BotBS Advent Calendar
blackdeathgr replied to Darnok's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I really like this initiative, especially these warring times (inside and outside of BOBS universe). I fully endorse it and hopefully so do my fellow Oleanders . PS: @Darnok Hopefully no horses will be harmed during this initiative. -

I really like the carriage and the half ruined walls. Also the mini story is touching -

Classic nostalgia to the max! Also the female fig is really nice! -
Nice depicting of the process and cool wall technique. Interestingly enough, we harvested and "pressed" our own grapes a month ago (although we use a different technique using bare feet in an open tank)

blackdeathgr replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice ship! (I expected nothing less from a master shipwright) @Bregir a question better asked at the shipwrights hall but I am curious as to whether you keep your "bending brick" technique ships assembled for long or you dismandle them soonish after posting them so as not to (possibly) strain the bricks used. -
'The Winged Cuirassiers' (Troop raising)

Great minifig part selection! Although they look like chickens hoping over obstacles Oleon rules and photobombs (well technically post-bombs) Corries mocs
