Have you still got all the other alphabet fighters built? Or have you had to disassemble them as you go along? Was just thinking - a line-up with all of them would make a great photo!

Lord Vader's day off is ace! Don't know which panel I laughed at most Some real imaginative photography there too, keep it up.

Looking at this you can't help but say Wow... that is an awesome stronghold LegoDennis! It's very reminiscent of a fantastical tower one might see in film, games or described in novels! Some of the platforms midway up almosty look like they could be sky-docks of some sort. Is the throne room near the top of the tower? I was looking for the wee Queen minifig waving off the troops, but couldn't see her - unsuprisingly! Building as high as you can go vertically to save space is ingenious... I should consider doing that myself really. This must have taken you ages to plan and put this together... aswell as the investment in LEGO parts! I'd assumed from the empty living room shot you'd sold the large comfy armchair that used to be in place of the tower to fund its construction! Great work, thanks for sharing it with us! Incidentally, the music I thought spade450 might have been referring to on your preview trailer - and for spade450's benefit - is O Fortuna by Carl Orff. Absolute classic! Great choice there LegoDennis.

That's really cool Rook, I love the whole landing craft feel your vehicle has to it, the shape works really well for this function. The detail and markings are spot-on too! I can imagine squads of these swooping down over the battlefield, repulsors hovering them to a halt as their cargo doors slam open, disgorging hundreds of troopers into the thick of the action, lasers firing everywhere - WWII beach landing style but in the Clone Wars setting! My only suggestion would be to thin out the connecting sections between the cockpit and cargo hulls - It would make the shape more intersting from a head-on view and overall make the M shape a little more suggestive and less blatant. I can appreciate that might be a bit difficult due to the way you've constructed it though... it's still a great build regardless! Your mini-vehicles are quite nice too - very reminiscent of the old Star Wars Mini-rigs line.

I'd hoped to reveal Grievous's softer side... what's a fine chrome lightsaber display without some beautiful hand-tied pink flowers just to set if off?! I almost had his kitten in there... 'til I realised I don't have one
-
Aye that would work well but I don't have one sadly! The heads in Monster4 are wolfy enough for me. Soon as I get the game I'll be off testing it out One advantage of a non-snouted head is that you'll be able to use various types of headgear on them from generic Shista's to Voolvif Monn with a cowl up, lookin' all moody! You could also build horns using a combination of binoculars and the horn pieces like cbolego's Hellboy. May look a little odd with 4 horns though... (Fantasy Era - ON!)

MMMMMMMM... *cough-ghack* CHROOOME! Grievous can't help himself as he proudly strolls by his lightsaber display for the millionth time....

I'm not entirely sure about the US, but on the highstreet in UK I'd expect to find it in stores such as Waterstones, Borders and WH Smith. These places tend to stock good selections of DK books. Amazon UK has it onsite but unavailable as yet. I'm sure the free minifig will come with all books, no matter the region, but possibly only for the 1st print run. I hope people don't vandalise copies to steal the minifig - like I saw with the Jetix clone trooper giveaway. So sad...

Noted! I tried to find the most applicable thread for this question though had half expected to get it wrong - I'm sure you can understand my confusion! -
No it's right enough. It says under exile he meets Luke Skywalker and fights a duel against his former padawan, now named Darth Vader - referring back to Anakin.
-
Cheers Darth Lion! I'm really looking forward to this book. DK books have superb photography and I'm sure it'll be an exciting trip through nostalgia flipping through the pages. There's the excellent special edition Luke minifig too... win, win!

Hey everyone, Just got my shop@home catalogue through today which included a supplement promoting the new LEGO Games theme. It's an ingenious concept and the games look like they'll be a load of fun, together with the fact they have loads of new printed parts and the introduction of microfigures. So I couldn't help but notice the potential that some of these might have for custom figures in the Star Wars universe and thought I'd bring it to everyones attention The set that caught my eye specifically was Monster4 and the monster heads theirin: a wolf-man style head which could easily tranlate to a Shistavanen (or even an alternate wookiee head), making it possible to create cantina patron Lak Sivrak or Jedi Voolvif Monn. And a devil head which could well be used to make a Devaronian such as Labria. There are troll heads in there too which manny people have already used for Trandoshan heads (though I've used Killer Croc heads for mine so far). These races and characters may be a little more obscure maybe, but I personally really like all the quirky background characters that exist in Star Wars universe and they'd be great for fleshing out some of your Star Wars scenes. What do you reckon, cool idea? Anyone see any more potential customs from the new Games sets?

Will the new LEGO Games theme fall under the Other Themes category here on EB? -
A fantastic front piece to the Eurobricks Community Castle ISC! The styling and details are superb and there's so much to look at - from the gatehouse proper to the inn and all the goings-on with the guards and residents. I like the way you've added some really interesting shapes into the construction of your walls, it gives it a really individual look. Nice work

He looks a bit like Morph's 'evil twin' Seriously though, good effort! I have a couple o' suggestions if you're interested... For big clay builds you should build an armature with wire to hold the shape. Bend his stubby legs a little and build his hunch up and back, bringing his head down in front of his chest a bit more while maintaining the line of his spine. Hopefully that will help centre the wieght above the legs. You can always bring out his toes a little for extra support. If you look at reference pictures you'll see the Rancor has very long arms compared to the rest of his body - lengthening his arms will make him look more authentic and help balance out the weight. Just keep working at it until it looks exactly the way you want it to!

I missed my chance to get Arealight's scooter, I'm glad to see it'll be available now... and at great price too IMO. Some of these new accessories really shine - the beret especially! As if LEGO didn't have an awesome line-up this year, now our favourite custom parts specialists do to! Poor, poor bank accounts...

I'm late with the news, but... many congratulations Hinckley! It's such a great thing getting a job doing something you love... and even though it means relocating, it's always best to follow your dreams. I'm sure it'll all work out brilliantly for you! All the best for the future
-
Great work Lars, and a very successful update of your original too! I love your attention to detail, such as the tiny intake, greebling around the engines/cannons, the harpoon cannon and cockpit - all very nice and very authentic. You're definitely an MoC'er to look out for!
-
Cheers for the review KimT It's a great wee set and a very authentic looking MF for it's scale. I'm not entrirely sure if I'll pick it up - as I prefer sets that include minifig(s) - but if I ever spot one at a bargain price I'll most likely add it to my collection.
-
It's great to see a treatment of such a cool episode, good work cole. I like the way you've captured the action, especially with the Clone throwing his blaster into the droids
-
A tip of the hat to you Mr. Penguin for a superb recolour of the MTT - you've shown us how indomitable it looks in CIS colours! Wat Tambor is a great character and your custom looks fab, nice work! I like your droid gunners too - seeing as you've added colour and detail to them had you thought about black dotting their 'eyes' to make them stand out against their striking colour scheme?
-
Cheers for the review and comedy line CopMike! Reminded me of Ackbar Cereal too Loved the look of this set since seeing the preliminaries. Minifig selection is wicked and the updated A-wing is very cool - there's always space for another A-wing in my opinion! TYhe interiors are great and I think for anyone who has an issue with the size of the hangar, well... just buy 2 and stick 'em together! I think the only think the only additional thing it might've been nice to see in this set would've been an exterior; similar in fashion to Cloud City - which had architectural detailing on the back wall - a curved piece of the hull on the back-side of the model might have been cool, with a large viewport at the command bridge and hangar opening with force field rim. Just a thought... An extremely cool set and well worth the purchase in my opinion!

Great work Stash2Sixx, the group photo is fantastic! I'll have see if I can get in there next year

Congratulations on the win Svelte! And to you runners up, jansued and Oky - all well deserved A tip of my hat to everyone who entered... good effort all!
