Wow, I really like this! Great buidling and scenes and so very detailed too. Icing on the cake has got to be your solution for the roof tiles: sheer brilliance!

Congratualtions on the article! Really nice read, great to hear Stacy and yourself are helping to champion the cause of us AFoLs. ...and that's a really, really impressive display you have there too.

My, this is stunning! There's so many fantastic features I could spend ags looking at his. I love that lava pit with dragon and the action going on in and around it, it's a great centrepiece. Medieval pole-dancers are a win for me too! Brilliant work.

Thanks for sharing these pics CopMike, truly awesome minifigs these are. Superb details in the molds and in the graphics. Can't wait to get my clammies on 'em!

It does look a lot like a BARC speeder but is nice in it's own right. Some cunning angling of the forward side panels there. Some more pictures would be nice.

Nice review def, thanks. A great little set and still a part of my collection in it's entirety! The Naboo Security Guard is an excellent little minifig, it's a shame we haven't seen more of him so far, but we undoubtedly will again I'm sure.

Star Wars merchandising is an incredibly lucrative long-term investment for both Lucas and LEGO and I can't see either party ever wanting to abandon it. 33 years and ongoing of Star Wars merchandising will tell you that this theme is not likely to end even in 2015. LEGO and Lucas market their products generally to the young and to the parents who buy for their young. Every year sees new consumers of LEGO, Star Wars and LSW products and this will continue ad infinitum as long as both parties continue to invent new products to sell to their target customer base. By 2015 there will be thousands upon thousands more LEGO and Star Wars fans looking for the next big set, figure, etc. to buy or for Mum and Dad to buy. As far as original material, every series of the Clone Wars holds more and more characters and ships that will see more and more toys and LEGO being produced based on these. By 2015, its highly likely there will be even more Star Wars spin-offs and subject matter to work from to cater for the continual influx of new LEGO and Star Wars consumers. It's a funny thought... but joke aside they are in this together for mutual benefit. For me the price-hikes are getting a bit excessive. But as above there will always be customers for LSW. The price will be irrelevant to them as they'll have no prior knowledge of it formerly being cheaper, a remake, etc. Just my tuppenceworth...

Very nice review, thanks! I love these PoP sets... am currently highly jealous of everyone flaunting them around EB as I'm not sure when they'll be available in the UK... Bricklink to the rescue! But really, the quality and detail of the minifigs and accessories is truly superb, together with the new parts leave these very high on my wanted list.

Great ideas for some of the extra characters... just need to get my hands on a fez now! Here's my take on Major Toht... I used the newest Harry Potter head for Toht - it's definately the most appropriate. I very carefully removed HP's scar using Peek metal polish. The hat is from 7682 and the torso is from the rider in 7635.

Great work AC, the scale and details of your dioramas is always so impressive. You've depicted this classic scene wonderfully. Curious as to where you store all these...
-
Aye, I can imagine... worth the trouble when you get a real nice end result though!
-
Hmmm... I am also jealous of your uncanny ability to get these ahead of release... but not so much I din't enjoy yet another of your nice wee reviews! The Ninja may not be the most impressive of the series, but all these new minifigs are going to add so much scope when it comes to making MOC'figs. Just looking at these and many of the others is sparking off ideas in my head - really can't wait to get my hands on some of these. Many thanks for sharing these with us CopMike.

Great use of that part there Rook. Gives a nice, more organic feel to Fett's bike.

He launches a devasating attack, combining mastery of lightsabre and Dark Side. The Acolyte manages to hold him off... but barely so. Nice work 501st! This is the most original Atgar I've seen. Great attention to detail... greebletastic!

Haha! Those are great ISC. 'Hindsight' is an instant classic and the very idea of Yoda will a flick-knife is brilliant.

Thanks for the link and pictures. I'm really loving these new sets. There's something about them that definately has the feel and charm of the older castle sets that makes them really appealing, coupled together with an abundance of accessories and new parts - right down to the 'cup' of the mini-catapult - and the lovely new minifigs. I'm a big fan of those Dragon Knights! Any more details on a release date? Buy 2, combine and you're rockin' - that Lion will never escape!
