Haha Pompommini ! Welcome on Eurobricks ? A Harry Potter fan ! One more ! As Admiral Croissant stated, there are always loads of things to do in the Licensed Forum. So I'll see you there !

Welcome to Eurobricks Drathalieo I hope you'll enjoy your time here and like the Forums. You can often find me in the Licensed Forum but I don't really Like Star Wars and neither am I interrested in the action figures So you won't probably see much of me ... Do you like MOCCing or reviewing ? Or are you just here to spend a cool time and talk about lego ?

Welcome on Eurobricks Javert ;) I'm currently reading the full book of les Miséranles in French... Very long and entertaining as for your moc, I have made a Jean Valjean myself, It doesn't really look like something. But I wanted to make either the Thénardier Bar or the Barricade. I am working on a Harry Potter stop motion Movie right now so I didn't have time for it... I still'd love to help you These torsos are wonderfull I love the Valjean one ; with 24601 on it I'm absolutly in for some Misérables MOC'ing, now that we're some fans right here, it's time to get to my Bricks and build something Here by, I join my Custom Valjean, Javert and Thénardier

Honestly, if they are to make the Forbidden Forest, I hope and think they will do the Philosopher Stone scene. I can already imagine a small dark grey baseplate, with one, big, black, self built tree. Something like the Graveyard Duel set, but with some greenery. Then throw in a one dark green bush. Minifigures could be a simple Harry, one black man with hood and cape ( probably doesn't have a face , a simpel black head) one Centaur, representing Firenze and probably a horned horse, as a Unicorn. That would bring the amount of minifigures to four, which is not impossible if we consider the recent licensed sets such as the 7569 Desert attack of Prince of persia, and the 7595 Army Men of Toy Story Considering the 6+ age, we should not expect a big set... I really can't think of anything else.. A new Aragog set seems unlikely.. And Umbridge and Grawp with Centaures just isn"'t exiting enough for a set. Even Voldemort "killing" Harry in the last book isn't that exiting if you have to make it in Lego. For the Knight Bus, strange remake I was really happy with the one we got, and it doesn't appear in any movie exept Prisonner of Azkaban... I see TLC won't stop making remakes for Harry Potter this year... As for the Battle of Hogwarts, looking at the age rank it seems difficult to exept a huge thing. We already got a big Hogwarts and that one was 8-14. Diagon Alley is 14 + so we can easely say it will be way smaller than Hogwarts. So I don't exept impressive scalled buildings. I am very exited about it though... As for the minifigures LEGO HUMOUR we can immediatly ban people as Bane, Firenze, Tonks and Lupin. Firenze in the battle of Hogwarts ? Very unlikely.. I'm not even sure Firenze or Bane will appaear in the movie scene. I am personnaly not expecting a castle. We might get a "fight field", or a courteyard, might be a small version of the Battle of Alamut. That one was 8-14, so once again that is too big. Or we might get something completely different, who knows... Maybe, like some other have already said, it would be like these old Vignette sets. Neville killing Nagini perhaps ? Of course, it all depends on how important that scene is in the movie. Because they mostly base their sets of the Movie, Except for the Durmstrang ship and the Peeves Minifigure... Well, I'll guess we'll have to see the movie then

This creation is G-R-E-A-T ! I really like the tower itself. first of all because it looks exactly like the movie So that's good However, as many have already suggested, The tower should have been dark grey. and so, you might want to make the rocks black or light grey instead.. I was also expecting some dementors... Unfortunatly I guess you don't have these pieces. What I loved are the water splashes on the rocks, even if I think some dark blue tiles, or some transparent tiles would have been nice under the white bricks. But once again, I guess that it is due to the lack of pieces ? Or to the 1000 limit In any case, the building is great but as all of us pointed out, some more action would be great. Especialy because of the misleading title ^^

This is a NICE creation I like the idea, making a vignette instead of a real building is quite unexpected but an original idea ! All the Black, makes it look a little dark though, but it works considering we're during the "dark times "with the Magic is Might Statue. In my opinion,An even more crowded place would have been better. And I think that if you chose another form( a round base plate with the statue in the middle, and everything around it, for instance ) would have created an even more bigger impact and nice dark feeling to it. But you decided to do it this way. It's a nice addition to the Harry Potter MOCs, And good luck in the contest :D

This creation is reallty G-R-E-A-T ! I'm probably going to enter this contest but I highly enjoy watching other entries and this has to be the best so far ! the Outside is Magnificent, The colors fits nicely together, and writing "Zonkos" with these printed tiles is a great idea. I still need to find a way how to make my sign... Well anyway, this is very nice creation and the outside is excelent. For some reason, the inside is a bit disappointed once we've seen the magnificent red outside. It's too large and high considering the amount of objects containing it.It's very colorful, defenatly a plus, but I don't know... I miss something... Maybe a bigger crowd would have been better, and even more messy. anyhow,; even if the inside is a bit less good than the outside, this still is a fantastic creation, a great entry and a nice addition to the Harry Potter MOCs, Good luck ;) and Keep Bricking

Ha, great little facts indeed. I was already wondering what was on Ron's head I knew the DVD title, but just didn't think off it I guess... But the use of only Grey, which I hadn't noticed, I s great, fopr some reason it just seems so normal. Our eye are probably like machines, they see, they know it, but they don't recognize it

Hi BoTher-MaN, For some reason I can only see the last "a look through the window" Shot. But I already can tell Golden cups don't belong in a Burrow. PS : And by the way, why did you post the topic Twice ? Or is his a MOD's error ? Anyways, just deeplink the pictures by using Flickr and Stuff, much esaier, quicker, nicer and it just is more enjoyable for the viewer. Well keep up Bricking and I'll check this out again once the hole thing will show up

Great Job on these Decals Tin, I never liked your Sirius Black, but the poster is great even with that minifigure. The Dumbledore is also cool, and the painting effect turned out nice These Umbridge Educational Decrees are sweet too, and very realistic The best has to be the Underisable n°1 Picture. So realistic and BTW you did edit Harry's mouth right ? These are great Decals
-
Could be a great idea. However, if you want to make it great, and I suppose you are, you'll easely reach the 5000 bricks, Yep, it goes that fast ! But Quidditch world cup is a very good idea. The stadium is going to be impossible I guess, but you wanna give a go to a little souvenirs shop, the Top Box, or you could just try out The Weasley's tent ! That could turn out great too. But I guess you won't be the only one trying to do a quidditch thing... But who cares ? I mean the best creation wins anyway. Good Luck BTW MODs, Does making an ORIGINAL creation give us a more positive judgement or something like that ? Do you have more chance to win and stuff ?

Aaah, A nice start to the Harry Potter month. Personnaly I'm still waiting for a few MOC ideas ? Anyone ? So, The Vignette, It is a great MOC, but it looks a little copied of the Oky Wan Kenobi's Spell Practise Indeed. Netherless, that doesn't take away the sweetness of the build. The Colors match nice and your mixture of brown turned out nice. The Minifigs are a good choise, but Harry's shrincked body is a bit ugly. I guess you didn't have the Micro-Fig, but even if you did, then it would really be a rip-off of Oky Wan's creation. Well, except for the LITTLE similiraty to the Spell Practice It is a great addition to the Harry Potter Month

I'll probably put a new pic on... I still don't really have my Own Sig-Fig... I'll guess I'll have to do that soon. Well, Thanks Staff, And Don't forget to Keep Bricking ! Has anyone an Idea for a MOC ? Every idea's welcome, you might see it come true.

This Creation is O-U-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G ! As A Harry Potter lover through and through, and a huge fan of Half Blood Prince. I absolutly loved this MOC. As a Builder and Brickfilmer ( I am doing the Half Blood Prince in LEGO and I still need to do this scene ) This really inspired me. I really like the characters' expressions, and The Custom Lavender Brown fits her Human Incarnation perfectly ! The Canaries are awesome too, I truly do love them , Your own personnal design, I trust ? The Room Itself looks great too. The round Staircase looks kinda like the movie, and we can easely recognise the scene. I think the roof/sealing still needs some work but the nice and simpel floor design makes up for it. This is an awesome Creation and deserves and excelent Nine outta ten 9/10

You're cheating ! I knew somebody would be disqualified because he went over the 1000 bricks limit, used a decal or something like that...
-
Hello Jeanne, This is quite strange, you only had one pic, I don't recognise anything ! What is this building ? I only saw the shrieking shack.. did you make this ? This looks more like a Brickfair or Brickworld creation. By the way, could you make more pictures and a bit bigger and better, and I think this is a bit more than 1000 pieces if I'm looking at the buildings and the grass. And this sure isn't 32x32, But I've heard that rule has been removed though. So please be a little more precise and give us some more pictures. The MOC does look nice by the way, just not big enough to see anything

Well, Isaac5 not to be impolite, but aren't you supposed to have read the Site Guidelines ? Including the posting standarts ? Be sure to read the Members Guidelines -
One quick Question : Custom Parts are not allowed. But are we allowed to use Stickers and stuff ? ( including Self-made Stickers of course ) Or does that go into the Custom Parts rule ?
-
Haha, this is exactly what I need ! as a Harry Potter MOCer, Brickfilmer and Fan, this is the best Contest ever. I'm going to surf through the books once again to find out what place/scene I can do... The prices are wonderfull I don't have any of them except Hogwarts Castle, So I guess I'll have to be : 1) The best ! 2) Fantastic but not too much so I do not end up in the Second place... This is going to be hard I'm Already exited about Matn, I hope he's going to enter, He's a harry Potter expert and it will fit in greatly with his Hogsmead !

New Lego Exclusive 10217 Harry Potter Diagon Alley
Geertos13 replied to GRogall's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yes I know what you mean Lord Embo. But I don't think, there are many "kids" out here, I think most of them are between the 14 and 18 years old. You know, just trying to get on Eurobricks before the intended age ^^ But as long as they act maturaly it won't be noticed, and personnaly I don't thinkk it is a big problem, as long as they act with a bit of reasonnable behaviour. 10-year old on the other hand, are quite disturbing, with their "primitive" language as you call it But I do agree with you that some video reviews are done quite professionaly. I'm taking "The Brick Show" as an example. They do pretty reviews now and then. -
This Creation Is G-R-E-A-T ! What I like about this, is the Warm and Christmas feeling it gives away. You did a great job on both the attractions, but I especially like the Swing. And as many have already noticed, that Kid's face adds a great detail to that part of the MOC The part I liked most will probably the Puppet thing ! The Idea is so simpel, but so Ingenious at the same time ! I can already imagine some role playing for the younger kids ! Defenatly a + I absolutly love these Puppets The part that bothers me a little bit, is that this isn't really abuilding, as described in the contests rules. It is, However a great little Play set and I'd defenatly buy it for a little kid. So to make it short : Great Play Set, and you defenatly thought of playability, the set design is also very nice. And I Absolutly love the Swing ! Unfortuantly it is not a building but the great attractions make it defenatly a cool MOC This great creation easely reaches a big seven outta ten ! 7/10

I agree with all of you who already said " It isn't that hard to write a correct comment" or things like " preview the post first" or even "Speak English" ! Myself, living in a non-speaking country, and as not beeing English myself, Can't make perfect posts without a single small error. We can make errors, that's Normal ! But as far as I know, Eurobricks doesn't refuse members that aren't perfect at English. I'm not a perfect english Speaker, and this post might contain erros or mistakes. However I always try to write in a correct english and I preview my posts to check them. If I forget it, and notice an error afterwards, I correct it with the "edit" tool. Come on Guys It can't be that hard ! At least, try it ! -
New Lego Exclusive 10217 Harry Potter Diagon Alley
Geertos13 replied to GRogall's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, that's exactly what I though Lord Embo ! However I must admitt, that these Eurobricks Reviews are of a High level, most of the time, the first video-reviews are done by wild kids, proud of their new LEGO Set. I always think it's sort of annoying having kids reviewing their sets. They're Always talking about the minifigs and saying they are cool, and they say "the set is big so, the set is cool" . I always think Eurobricks reviews are more interresting ! REVIEWER'S ACADEMY FTW ! -
Okay, I guess you guys are right... It just bothered me because On the other 2% left of the comments, It is really annoying But yeah, I guess a Character limit would have been more appropriate, But It is indeed quite unecessary
