New Lego Exclusive 10217 Harry Potter Diagon Alley
Geertos13 replied to GRogall's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yup, I agree. I want to get that set, not sure if I will though. I hope it, but.. The only reason I would is Ollivander's, but hey, Whayever, I want that set ! I'd like to review too, maybe on Youtube, because they're always somebody who does it before. But Reviews are helpfull indeed, especialy when they come before the official release, it helps us decide if you are going to get the set or not -
This Creation is G-O-O-D ! This small Vignette is of a simpel Design. You used less than 5 Bricks for the Set, but after all that's what a Vignette is all about. The use of the Spartan Collectible Minifigure isn't any surprise, and I always thought he was inspired by the Movie 300. But that's just my Opinion. Choosing a famous Character as Dastan is sure a very nice Idea but the Idea of making him Yellow is very Risky ! But You succeeded in Making Dastan look Yellow and the colors fit perfectly ! Surprisingly, Dastan's new scared face works out good too... The thing that's missing, as Admiral Ron pointed out, Is a fire pit, but you already explained you don't have enough pieces. So to makie it short : This Vignette is a proof of Imagination and The transformation from Flesh to Yellow Dastan is ingenious and Sweet. Good Job, this little MOC, reaches a correct six outta ten 6/10

This creation is O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G ! The Wayne Manor has always been a major MOC idea in the Batman Theme. Never created as a set, The Library has so many possibilities. You made it following your own imagination. I must say, your creation has all a library needs, it has a lovely Book Shelf, a nice warm feeling and piecefull colors. However, for some reason, It looks more like a work-room, or an office. Is it due to the lack of book shelves ? Or is it just too small ? I don't know, but beeing a littlze unlibrary-ish doesn't take out any of the beauty. You've showed you like to make two floors "vignette like" MOCs. A very nice Idea, I can Imagine All these building fitting together, all put next to each other. That Deer, sticked to the wall is ingenious, Well Design and a great proof of your high Imagination. And I Love it ! The Clock is of a great design, and the "trap" leading to the balcony is awesome too. The wooden floor made out of tiles is Beautifull and the carpet that you draw in it was even more lovely I think, However, that the part under the library, the Batcave, is a little less Develloped. The design is pretty simpel, but doesn't affect the beauty once again. Myself woudn't have thought of anything else to put there, So I guess this was one of the only solution you had. It seems empty, without the car, but that awesome self made Batmobile makes up for it. To make it short : This Building is an awesome addition to the world of the Batman MOCs, and creates nice feelings, which can both be warm and inviting or dark and impressive. You did a great job on the hole thing, but The Library really makes this MOC O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G in my Opinion. That's why, This MOC deserves an excelent nine outta ten 9/10

I know what you mean, but isn't there a way to limitthe quotes ? Maybe 5lines is too much, and depends on the size of your screen. But Seriously, quotes bigger than 10 lines start beeing really annoying. I'm trying to think of a way to limit it, but it seems quite impossible I guess we'll have to face these long quotes and just ignore them...

That is a great Idea, let's hope the MOD will listen to us

MOC: Tamina and Dastan in the marketplace
Geertos13 replied to Captain Flint's topic in LEGO Licensed
This Creation is G-O-O-D ! This quite, small MOC ( Baseplate 32 x 32 without using all the space ) Has Some Great things. First off all, You stayed to the Prince of Persia feeling, and at the same time you even respected the Original sets design. Some might even say you've copied. I'm one of them. However, I must admitt that you didn't go cheap with just putting two sets next to each other and building a few accessories in front of it ! To the look of the pieces, I am guessing you used the 7195 Ambush in Cairo, the 7571 The Fight for the Dagger and 7570 The Ostrich Race .( Correct me If I'm wrong ) As I'm watching the buildings I see you simply used the Dome from the sets, which isn't a problem at all, as they look quite good in my Opinion. The EXACT same Design for the highest Tower on the left, as the Original set still Kinda Bugs me. The Buildings are not the best point of this MOC, which is sort of disapoiting as MOC are most of the time based on the quality of the Buildings. However, I didn't say this MOC was bad. I liked how you changed it in your own way, Changing them into a bigger, prettier and better looking thing. As stated Masked Builder, you succeeded in recreating Perfectly the feeling of a MarketPlace. Defenatly a + The Crowd chatting and shopping gives it a great look, and I can already Imagine some thiefs trying to robb that Nice looking Tamina Figure. So, This creation is Okay with the buildings But has an Outstanding Market Feeling So all put together, this creation still reaches a Nice Seven Outta Ten 7/10 GOOD Job -
This creation is O-U-S-T-A-N-DI-N-G ! For me, this has to be one of the best MOC's in Medieval History ! Most of the time, I try to balance my reviews with good and bad points. I guess this time, it's going to be impossible. Let's start with the garden. The ground is made of a quite simpel design, but the use of SO MANY greenery, flowers and green pieces make the hole thing have an amazing look. It looks a bit Wild, but not in a jungle way. It looks natural. So many plants look very "over-the-top" most of the time, but you succeeded in making it seem beautifull. The river with dark blue is again, so simpel, but so absolutely Magnificent ! The cows and the little Dock, along with the stone bridge, adds beauty to this magnificent garden. The Building itself, is AMAZING ! And it's probably why I thought this building was O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G,instead of G-R-E-A-T or A-W-E-S-O-M-E. The design of the buttom walls, mixing the light grey with the Dark Grey tiles on them was a great idea and turns out very medieval and sweet. The Brown wooden Pillars at both sides of the door and at the sides add something realistic to the hole thing, once again, the design is fantastic. These pillars are holding an even prettier Second floor. The white walls, combined with some wooden tiles, put on the sides and hanging from left to right crossing the upper part of the walls, are used frequently and always turn out nice, This building is no exeption. At last, but not the least is the third floor and the roof ! Using these brown curved bricks for the wood, is a technic I personally use too. Of course, It is amazing. I'm in LOVE with that roof and I only can say it is a simpel design, that looks great. The cheminey is the final touch, that makes this House fit in perfectly in a typical Medieval Village. Your attention to detail and your architectoral skills, have made you one of my favourite builders. And I have only seen ONE of your creation. I hope to see more from you soon Enjoy your time here On Eurobricks and keep Building ! TEN OUTTA TEN !! 10/10 CONGRATULATIONS

Hello Fellow Eurobrickers, First of all, I want to say that I've looked through the forum, and I havn't found anything that looked liked this, Except something about it here and there. So that's why I permit myself to start this new Topic. I hope this is the right place to post it, if not, Eurobricks Staff, feel free to move it I promised to try to help the Site Improve, so I'm going to give my opinion. Quotes Should have a 5 lines limit ! That's my Topic today. I know this is a quite radical restraint. I know you sometimes need to have read an entire comment to know what is going on, especially when the topic is updated/bumped after a very long time but still. I once posted a comment that was almost 20lines long ( I did a review about someone's MOC.) And the person, which I shall not name, (because it's unnecessary and because I don't remeber his name ) replied to me by quoting my entire comment and adding something like " I agree". I can't remember it completely. But In anycase, I saw this several times. and once, If you need to respond to a part of a Topic, you can easely reach the ten lines. To give an exemple. Today, I saw Shadows' Topic reminding some of the "posting standarts" , in this same Forum. In my Topic, I'd like to quote this specific topic : You see ? Quoting can be usefull, this gives us the opportunity to share a bit of the article without having to go back to the entire Topic and read it all. I'm not saying Quoting is bad, i'm not saying it's useless. I'm not saying you shoudn't do it. I'm just saying, you don't have to quote an entire TOPIC. First, because half of what you will quote might be off-topic, and the other half might be useless. If you want to say you agree with someone, just say I agree with USERNAME and you might add a few things to his/her words. My question to the MODs : Is there a possibility to restrict of amount of lines in one Quote, and if so, Is there a chance to get a limit applied ? Other members, what do you think ? Is my Idea complete nonsence ? Then tell me why, and give us a good reason why it is necesseray to have a quote bigger than 5lines, or an other limit. Thanks alot. Geertos13

This is G-O-O-D. The Combination with White and blue, and also some Dark Blue, is very appealing to the eye, and gives it a nice color shade. 3-floor-Buildings are always tricky to make. And I think you succeeded pretty much. I'm saying pretty much, because they are some things I don't like in the building. That's why this building isn't G-R-E-A-T, or P-E-R-F-E-C-T. The Front looks nice, but with the dark lightning it looks kinda depressing. I tried to make it look sunny, and then it looks much better ( this is just about the photography, not about the MOC itself ) The flowers in front of the shop are a nice touch, but I must say you might got a little "over the top" with these wild green plants growing on the front. It also surprised that those Thorny Dark Green Plants were on both sides of the windows on the second floor ; Doesn't really attract people to go doing their shopping in there right ? I liked however, the building technic for the balcony on the third floor. I would never have though of using them in that way. The hanging laterns on the front are also a great addition to the building. The side and the back of the building are quite bad... Yellow and dark grey pieces ? Is this due to the lack of pieces ? I don't know but It sure doesn't look good. Your attempt of writting "LEGO" was a good Idea but failed a bit at the letter G. So to make it short : This building has some great designs and could fit in properly in a LEGO City. The greenery on the front, the thorny plants at the sides, and the multi-colour pieces are defenatly a take-down to this building. This is why the building is G-O-O-D instead of G-R-E-A-T. If you fix that, The building will be much better. So this MOC, is a great addition to the City, but with some Architectical lacks... PS : The Picture Size is quite disturbing indeed. Review: 7779 The Batman Dragster: Catwoman Pursuit
Geertos13 replied to The Penguin's topic in LEGO Licensed
What ? Why ?! I didn't noticed you deed anything against the rules... Well... I enjoyed it anyways. are you going to do the review again ? -
This creation is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G The small combination of dark-red with tan is beautifull. and putting on the red plates on the tan pieces is ingenious and sweet aswell. The hole thing looks perfect. The design is outstanding. The colorsheme looks great and fits perfectly with Poison's minifigure. The hole translates Ivy's insanity and crazyness without however beeing ridiculous. Poison Ivy is a very strong character. Evil and creepy but at the same time Sexy and Prickly. Good Looking and Prickly That is exactly what these plants are. Especialy the ones on the right with the Dark Green. Everything just fits together. The sewer part is a little less attractive but it's absolutly G-R-E-A-T You used the same design as Ivy's Greenhouse by Putting these Light Grey tiles on the dark grey Bricks. The Trans-Yellow and sand green pieces make it look all dirty : That's how it has to be ! A nice building technic of the Filthy Water dropping of the sealing. The Round entry at the left is a great ddition to it. I can already Imagine Batman following Croc through a long dirty downpipe and end up in that part of the sewer. Choosing Killer Croc instead of another Villain makes it even more dirty I think. To make it short, or at least as short as I can get it : This creation is a perfect addition to the Batman MOCS, and is a great partner to the Wayne's library. I think this is Outstanding, you've done an outstanding job and I'm Hoping to see a new one soon. You might want to go for a Catwoman creation ? Fight on the roofs combined with Scarecrow's Hide Out. It's up to you. Hope to see more from you soon. And Keep Bricking !

Review: 7779 The Batman Dragster: Catwoman Pursuit
Geertos13 replied to The Penguin's topic in LEGO Licensed
This is an outstanding review of a poor set. I like the Catwomanfig, she is gorgeous. She shows us everything of the comic character, she is powerfull, evil and attractive. These three things never do a good match ! But the rest still kinda Sucks. I mean seriously, The two vehicles have such a horrible design ! I've never been into Batman, But I still though it was a good licensed theme. As far as Licensed themes (except Star Wars)can go of course. I maybe should have got one, but it's too late, and the prices they have now are just creepy. 50 Bucks for ONE BATMANFIG ? Gotta be kidding ! You did a good job on the review, and don't forget to keep bricking ! -
This is an awesome Building Brickcitydepot I really liked the Idea of a train Depot. Original, and nice-looking. As Crabboy329 said, this is a real piece of art ! The snow design on the roof is wonderfull. I love how you made the snow cover only half of the roof The Inside is nice too. a little empty though but that great Lamp design makes up for it The snow turns out really nice with Rails and the effect is sweet. This creation deserves a place in the top 5 Welcome on Eurobricks, good luck in the contest and hope to see more from you soon !

Nice job Pompommini, The animation is pretty good for a first brickfilm. Of course, you haven't practiced alot yet, but I'm sure you will improve. The set design isn't developped, you just used the set. Well at least you didn't go cheap with a simpel wall. As Primusman has said Of course this is your own business. But you should know that all comments can be read by the moderators and that you might get in trouble because of your age. I personnaly had some troubles because of my comments lately. Of course, I don't know if it is your own voice so we can't report you for that. Anyway, the video was pretty good for a beginner and I hope to see some more ferom you soon.

This is a sweet little MOC indeed :D I like the idea of the kid beeing the only one thinking of posting his letter on the normal way. That present "assembly line" thing is truly beautifull

You are absolutly Right, Why are we all complaining and hoping for new sets ? We should gather our own pieces and make our dreams come true. Isn't that what LEGO is all about ? Lego gives us the possibility to build whatever we want : WHATEVER WE WANT That says it all. With all the Harry Pieces, and minifigures from the other licenses, we can easely make our minifigs and own CREATIONS. Isn't it much more enjoyable to have a pretty, self designed moc on your shelf , than a big by LEGO made set ? Personnaly I do agree with Matn, LONG LIVE TO THE MOCS !

MOC: Mitre 10 Hardware Store and other shops
Geertos13 replied to lightningtiger's topic in LEGO Town
Wouah I like them. I think it's cool how yu respected the blue and red colour schemes in the inside too. Simpel but beautifull black/white chess floor on the inside Defenatly a favourite ! -
This is awesome ! I've already seen some Great Entries I love them all, and yours is a potential winner !
