  1. Maybe it's a reference to this quote from the books: “only this morning, for instance, i took a wrong turn on the way to the bathroom and found myself in a beautiful proportioned room i have never seen before, containing a really rather magnificent collection of chamber-pots. when i went back to investigate more closely, i discovered that the room had vanished. but i must keep an eye out for it. possibly it is only accessible at five thirty in the morning. or it may only appear at the quarter moon - or when the seeker has an exceptionally full bladder.”
  2. That's not necessarily true. Yes we've seen the leaks, but that doesn't mean Lego is actually intending to release that set. By the look of it it might as well have been a set that's been canceled ages ago. (If we learned anything from Indiana Jones it's that seeing the set doesn't actually mean getting it.) Who's to say why they included it in that survey? For all we know they might have wanted to see how a superheroes style mansion (like a Wayne Manor) would be received by using some old models with a similar concept that they had lying around.
  3. We know it because of this post
  4. No, I think they meant it more like a dollhouse
  5. Yeah, it wouldn't need the stone cave walls to encase the build, and assuming something like that would be relatively the same size (even a bit smaller to fit on top) I can only assume it will be cheaper.
  6. Other than some of the faces, most of them do still hold up pretty well. The one I think was in need of the biggest upgrade is Indy himself. For the one that holds up the best I would say Henry Jones Sr. I feel like the new one will be extremely similar to the original.
  7. I would be fine with a comic based Avengers Tower, but I would be extremely surprised if they actually did that. The MCU one is way too iconic at this point. Even the Avengers tower in sets based on the game was based on the MCU one, rather than the one that actually appeared ingame. Spider-man is the only marvel character left for which they're actually making comic based sets, so a comic based Daily Bugle made sense (not to mention the actual building isn't really part of the mcu yet, and the Raimi one probably has some copyright issues or something.) I feel like the Sanctum is more of an indication of what's to come.
  8. While that might be true, if it wasn't for those sets the Bugle wouldn't have that many figures. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure they used the budget from those sets to be able to create those figures. So even if they were designed for the Bugle, without the regular sets they wouldn't have been able to create this many figures. Without those sets the bugle exclusive characters would've been the first to be axed. Maybe, but I'm almost certain it won't be an entire wave like with Spider-man. So I don't think that would do too much. Yeah okay that's fair, but with DC basically being on hiatus all this time I'm not sure if they kept those figures around. A few maybe, but it would feel kind of odd if after 3 years they finally return, only for all the figures to be the exact same. I hope I'm wrong ofcourse, but I think it's better to keep our expectations low figure wise, that way we can only get pleasantly surprised if it turns out more favourable.
  9. One thing to keep in mind is that the Bugle was really pushing it on the figure side. They even said they could only do that many because they appeared in other sets that year. Only 6 figures were actually new. 10 were repeats of very recent figures. Not to mention the remaining 9 were figures scrambled together with existing pieces. Considering the very few figures releasing this year are Keaton and DCEU based we might not even see them in this set. And the last figures from comic based sets are from 2020 with a few exceptions that showed up a little bit more recently (Harley, Joker, Batgirl, Penguin). So most of those are also a bit unlikely to return. I think we are lucky if we see 15 characters including repeats. Plus maybe 3 or so batsuits if they skip out on leg printing. If they did civilian characters like Bruce Wayne or Dick Grayson on top of that I assume they will simply be scrambled together of old parts. (I see now I did far too long writing this post and most of this has already been said since then.)
  10. I think they meant an Alfred based on the 66 show or any of the other movies (Keaton, Bale etc). TLBM being a movie of itself also falling under that criteria.
  11. At this point my room wouldn't even be able to handle it. How is everyone else able to store/display all these sets?
  12. I thought they were already available at some places. I know jedijacpenguin already managed to get all 3 of them.
  13. I feel like if this one sells well, the possibility of an Arkham set will definitely be on the table. But it makes sense if they were to start a big d2c Batman line they would start with the batcave.
  14. That would be nice, but I feel like that's a bit too much wishful thinking. A batmobile takes up quite some space, let alone multiple. If it's a fully encased building that would require a lot more bricks to fit it in.
  15. I think that's just meant as a joke. In the video he mentioned he was thinking it might finally be the tower because "what else is there to do?" He doesn't actually know the details yet, otherwise it would’ve been said in the video.
  16. You mean kind of like what the 1966 batcave did? Maybe, that's not too farfetched. I could also see them do a gwp just for that room (or the equivalent thereof).
  17. Yes! Batman is back! I just hope the walls don't take up too much of the bricks. No way it will include Wayne Manor. But I do have hope they will one day release an expansion to put on top of this cave. Until then I'll simply put Joker Manor on top.
  18. Buildable Shakespeare Batcave Button Bust here we come!
  19. I feel like that's a bit farfetched. Especially with a theme like Star "Wars" around.
  20. Nice. So we now know it's actually dc news. Can't wait.
  21. I think it's extremely likely they will show up eventually in some places.
  22. Well that's not really surprising. When cancellation rumours start appearing it's usually already too late. And honestly, I get it. When I saw the leaks I already feared it might cause controversy. What I just don't get is how it could make it this far into production. I mean basically the entire original theme makes it on those "Most controversial sets" list on YT for years. This could've been prevented. These sets take like 2 years to make. Was there no one in those 2 years until now that said "Hmmm, maybe not"? I wouldn't be surprised if the other sets ultimately get canceled as well. I just hope lego has learned from this experience.
  23. That doesn't bode well for this theme. I don't see it lasting very long at this rate. Maybe a small wave for the new movie and done.
  24. That would be cool, Arkham City would be nice as well. For me, if the set turns out to be an Arkham or the Batcave I really want it to be the definitive version. Sure their will be more smaller versions, but for 449,99 it has to be THE lego version of that location. The previous versions of Arkham were already really good. I think the only way they can truly do that location even more justice, especially for that price, is if it were based on the Arkham games, which obviously had the most fleshed out version of that location. For the batcave I would like to see either the Keaton Batcave or Animated Series/Comic accurate one (with the dinosaur and everything.) Those are the ones that jump to mind whenever I think of the batcave because they're the ones that actually looked like a cave. I liked all the versions we had in lego, but I feel the only one that ever came close to that feeling and scale was the original one from 2006.
  25. Oh yeah, what ever happened to that book that supposedly mentioned him?
