Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

That would be pretty cool, although I do wonder if they wanna use Tiamut to serve a similar purpose in the mcu. If so, they probably want to wait with such a set. -

I just saw a pretty clear image of the cancelled Mola Ram figure. Is that like a new leak or did I miss some old leaks? All I knew about was the blurry box image and the voodoo doll. -

Like the others said, something more Comic related like Oscorp tower would indeed be very nice, although I would also like it if they left New York for a bit and gave us a big Malibu mansion (after seeing what they did for Friends) with a definitive Hall of Armor underneath. Ofcourse, if they stayed in New York, the Baxter building would be nice as well, but I would prefer it if they waited for the movies to be out for some time as otherwise we might end up with concept art or an outdated version (with all the multiverse shenanigans going on lately). Or maybe go off earth entirely and give us something Asgard related, especially the royal palace and the Bifrost Bridge would be nice to get. Or maybe even some of the GoTG locations, like Knowhere with a new Collector, Cosmo, Howard etc. Some Wakanda stuff would be nice as well. A helicarrier like that would have to be nanoscale, that's never going to get 20 minifigures. -

My thoughts exactly, something brickbuild would just be impossible to do well as a gwp. Wouldn't mind something like the medal, not too big of a deal if you miss out on it, but still pretty cool if you get your hands on it, especially now that all the Weasley kids can be represented in minifigure form. -

According to thebrickreporter on instagram, there will be a Weasley clock collectable coming alongside the Burrow. I'm really confused about that info, not sure what to make of it. Maybe some kind of non-lego promotion? Like what they've done for Star Wars a few times in the past. -

It's hard to tell right now, too hard to see. But what I can see kinda reminds me of how they did Nehmaar Reem - The Harbinger for Hidden Side. -

Well according to the source of the image it's a promotion in Chili, 100 posters per location to be distributed from 31-07-2024 to 04-08-2024. But I assume they got the date wrong by like a month or something, as when people actually went to the stores there yesterday, the employees had no idea what they were talking about. So someone probably messed up. -

At first I thought that was Arthur with a Rubber Duck as well, but the pointed hat makes more sense. Maybe they can eventually recolour it for Percy. Maybe the one with the "Rubber Duck" is Charlie instead with a dragon? Either way, can't wait to see some better images. Apparently it's a poster that would be given away in a lego store at a certain mall this week, but the store knew nothing of it, so someone probably messed up the date and revealed it too soon. -

I'm glad the previous minifigure list finally got debunked, that was clearly people just listing the figures from the February 2023 leak, which I think we can all agree on now was the 2014-ish cancelled set just to give the survey takers a taste of what such a set could be. I quite like the new list, glad they didn't fully reuse all the previous figures. So far, the building itself looks great as well, it reminds me of the Museum, which I was hoping for. Although I do wonder how they did it, as the piece count is quite a bit lower. Gambit looks interesting as well, kinda looks like he has some attachment to throw his playing cards. Overall it looks like they allow for some nice scenes to be displayed, ofcourse it's still a bit hard to tell for certain, but colour me stoked. -
Could Simpsons line of Minifigure series or Sets return?
Huigberts Builds replied to Vitruvius's topic in LEGO Licensed
But do you think all those people are just gonna buy the house again? The Simpsons isn't as popular as it was 10 years ago, and even 10 years ago it wasn't as popular as before then. Sure Disney is marketing it left and right for disney+ (which I assume is a big reason for the potential return), but it still has mostly an adult audience, one that already bought the set 10 years ago. It's not like with Harry Potter, where new children that weren't around the first time are jumping up and down to get their hands on this set. Sure there might be a handfull of new fans, or at least fans that now have the money to spend, but I doubt those "new" fans outweigh the ones that already own it. Maybe if they completely revamped the theme and made it not just the Simpsons house but an entire facade of Evergreen Terrace. But then again it might lose some of it's charm that made everyone love the original sets so much. Although they could add Bart's Treehouse, would actually make for a pretty nice gwp, no matter what set gets made. Either way, if clown indeed has nothing to do with the actual set itself (which I kinda doubt, as it's so fitting), I would say the most likely candidate (other than again Krusty Burger, which lego already knows will sell as it was backed by 10k supporters, twice) would be the Android Dungeon. I know (back in the day here on Eurobricks) that one was very high on everyone's list, if not at the top of many. Ofcourse the big difference with now being that back in the day such a set would allow for some cool Superhero inspired outfits, most notably blue shirt Bartman, while now they would probably want some more neutral outfits to "relaunch" the theme. -

I mean it's like the third image that pops up when you search "simpsons clouds". And the Toy Story clouds look quite different. Whoopsie xD. Guess I'll just have to modify the head for a Krustyland Entrance then :p. -
Could Simpsons line of Minifigure series or Sets return?
Huigberts Builds replied to Vitruvius's topic in LEGO Licensed
I doubt it, the previous set was pretty much perfect and most people who wanted it already have it. It's not like with the Death Star that it will sell easily to a new generation that now have their own money to spend. The Simpsons was already a pretty niche theme 10 years ago, I doubt it has gained enough new fans in the meantime to warrant a remake. I don't think 200+ is too much for a miniature springfield, Gotham was 299, the latest Hogwarts 170. There are enough iconic locations in Springfield to recreate to get to such a price (I mean they have an entire game that's now 10+ years old that still gets new buildings monthly). I highly doubt this specific set will be it, but if the Simpsons sticks around (again) for long enough I can see the potential for it. Although I would personally prefer regular sets. Or maybe we're just getting a giant Buildable Krusty. -
Could Simpsons line of Minifigure series or Sets return?
Huigberts Builds replied to Vitruvius's topic in LEGO Licensed
I agree that Springfield Elementary is a way more iconic location than Krusty Burger, but after all the lego ideas submissions I suppose lego decided Krusty Burger, or any Krusty related locations at least, would be a saver choice. Although there's currently a lego ideas submission for Springfield Elementary pretty close to reaching 10k (it's at 7k right now with about a year left). So hopefully that submission will reach enough supporters before the theme gets officially revived to show lego what location we would like to see next. -
Could Simpsons line of Minifigure series or Sets return?

Ah yes, that sounds about right. I guess read past that last part. Didn't the story get taken down as well for some reason? As I remember wanting to go back after you answered me in DM's (to read everything a bit more clearly as I kinda skipped through it the first time around) only to find the story gone, might have been an issue with my instagram though, not sure. Either way, I'm sorry for causing any confusion. -
Could Simpsons line of Minifigure series or Sets return?
Huigberts Builds replied to Vitruvius's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh? I'm sorry, I don't really check the Star Wars thread (bit too busy), let alone for Simpsons news xD. But that's odd, I distincly remember them answering a question in the Q&A of May 9th about the 2025 cmf series with that the Simpsons "might" return. Although granted they never said S3, just Simpsons so I suppose they were talking about the D2C set instead. Which I guess makes more sense anyway from a business standpoint. I guess it probably went something like this: If I remember correctly the question in question (lol) was something along the lines of "Will any previous cmf serie like Marvel or Disney return in 2025?" and I believe the answer was something like "There's nothing known about the cmf series coming out in 2025 yet, but the Simpsons might return." I suppose they never really specified the way in which they returned and were talking about the D2C instead. I believe after that a question was asked about if the Simpsons would get another D2C, on which they answered something like "Chances are high". I think I mistook that as saying a D2C accompanying the CMF series, rather than them going in more detail about the actual form the theme would return in. Sorry about that. (Although I did say might ) On a sidenote, if anyone was wondering, when I asked them on that same Q&A about whether or not specialised molds would be returning they also answered with "The chances are high". Which ofcourse doesn't confirm anything, but I thought I'd share it with you all. -

Krustyland would be great as well, one of the view places where Itchy and Scratchy wouldn't look out of place. Then again, Krusty Burger has been going strong on lego ideas for years now, so lego knows there's at least demand for that set. It's also quite a neutral set in which they can easily throw the family members in their standard outfits so that they won't take a spot away from the potential cmf series. Plus an easy way to save on molds/share them with a cmf series (as they probably will have to remake them). And if we got a Skinner and Chalmers in the cmf series a Krusty Burger would be great for the memes. Then there's the question, stick with 16 figures like the first 2 series (just like Disney sticked with 18) or do they go with the new standard of 12? Either way I hope they'll give Maggie the "new" baby mold so that she can come as an accessoire this time around, saves us at least 1 spot. -

tandnbricks on instagram has been hinting towards a lego Simpsons revival for a few weeks now. In his latest story they show a blue sky with white clouds, hinting at an "ip D2C" set for 2025, described as "clown". Set number 10352 for $229,99 to be precise. One can't help but link the background towards the iconic Simpsons opening (not to mention the simpsons were directly mentioned in the announcement for this post. Add to that codename "clown" and you would think this set has got to be Krusty Burger or something similar. They also mentioned before that one of the cmf's for next year might in fact be a third Simpsons series. Would be very fitting on the 10th anniversary of the last one. -

It is a placeholder image, but it's still an indication of what we can expect. Even if we were to get the other towers, I feel like they would first want to complete to front view of the castle, aka everything the nanoscale one gave us. I feel like that might be a bit much for one set. I think they'll probably want to split it in 2. If they didn't include the grand staircase tower with the Great Hall they also won't include it with the similar sized Quad Entrance section of the castle. I'd say most likely scenario would be a €150,- ish POA inspired Grand (Marble) Staircase tower, pretty similar in setup to the 2002 and Nanoscale one. 2 sets of moving stairs (and maybe an extra stationary one to the side). I think on a hinge would allow for the most accurate representation of the movies, but they might just go with the rotating ones again. One of which able to move towards the painting of the (poa) Fat Lady (switchable to the damaged version, similar to the clock in 76415). On top of the tower is just Dumbledore's Office, with a small Griffin statue underneath. (I feel like, unlike the nanoscale version, there won't be enough room for another room.) Then in the dungeons I think they would probably put something simple like the One-Eyed-Witch Passage. They could even include a couple of dementors floating around the tower. Then I envision a similar priced Quad Entrance (I can see the sum of the 2 of them together equal €300,- at least). The layout I imagine to be somewhat like the Whomping Willow set. What was the DatDA classroom in nanoscale would be the Gryffindor Common Room (with Sirius Black fire place), aligning perfectly with the Fat Lady Portrait in the Grand Staircase Tower, turning it into an entrance. Then what was Umbridge's Office in Nano Scale would become the Gryffindor Dormitory. Ground level would be a bit more simple, maybe a couple of knights statues, a small office for Filch or a not too fancy classroom like transfiguration if they want to go the extra mile. Dungeons I think could be the Slytherin Common Room and Dormitory. Making it sort of the common room set (as the exterior is less interesting, that would make for a pretty nice set.) Then for 2026 a €200,- they could finish the front view of the castle with a Viaduct Entrance and viaduct. Starting with the Dungeon, which I envision to be another Chamber of Secrets, but with a little bit more depth. They could even hide away the Basilisk underneath the Viaduct when he's not popping out of the statue. Ground level I imagine to be the library on one side (like the nano scale one) and a small room of requirement on the other side. With in the middle (in front of the entrance itself) a hallway with the wall on the side of the RoR filled with educational decrees. Then in system scale there would probably be enough room for a first floor this time around (or second for the Americans) which could be the Datda Classroom and Umbridge's Office (or Lockhart if they want to keep it CoS themed). That would cover pretty much everything the nanoscale version covered. Then they could also do a couple of sets like this year's potion classroom, but then removable rooms for the underground (challenge) Chambers. A winged key set, chessboard room etc. That would ofc require one of the sets to have Fluffy and the trapdoor, could maybe be on the ground floor of the Quad Entrance, idk. And maybe even a set similar to the owlery, but this time one of the greenhouses. After that they could continue ofcourse with the Astronomy Tower and Clock Tower in the following years (if they don't retire the system before that.) -

Most likely yes. I feel like this is probably just going to be the minifigure version of the nanoscale castle from 2018. And tbf, I wouldn't mind if we didn't get another clock tower. The 2019 one was pretty much perfect, it will probably still look great next to the new system. Only way really I could see them improve on it is by changing the interior to include the pendulum like in the original 2004 version. The Astronomy Tower is a bigger loss however. While the previous version looked great, it was already pretty small for the original 2018 system, let alone for what we're getting now. Then again, they included the Owlery, which wasn't in the original nanoscale set either, so maybe we'll get them anyway. -

7 figures all with new printing? That's amazing for an advent calendar. Although I can't help but feel slightly disappointed we didn't get the Bloody Baron. Then again I already felt it would be out of place and the figure we did get instead looks amazing (not to mention something unlikely to appear anywhere else.) Flitwick doesn't look as good with the Santa beard (speaking of which, we kinda have all the pieces to make a pretty decent looking Santa). Definitely preferred the hobbit beard, but can't really complain as I already have that one anyway. It's also nice to get the cmf series dumbledore again with a slightly different print to differ from the one in the Great Hall. Winter outfits for all the houses is very nice as well and I really like the statues. Christmas Cracker builds are also very cute and the tree with a toy Hogwarts Express as well. Tables are a bit meh, but the 2 portraits are always nice to get. -

Tbf, this appears to be coming from a catalog rather than the box, so it might look better on the actual set. There are all kind of small differences, but I think the most notable and easy to describe is the missing window on the side of the center tower. In the actual set there are multiple Windows, while on that promo image there's only the front one. -

Upon closer inspection, it looks like the Great Hall is in fact different from the one shown on the "most detailed Hogwarts Castle" poster. Either way, I hope it does well enough so we can get a matching tower, which is probably the one set we need most in this style. -
Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Huigberts Builds replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
The exterior of the Great Hall thankfully looks much better than the interior. Definitely has the most consistent look. And while I think all the previous versions (even just the entrance and courtyard from last year's battle of Hogwarts) did at least something better than this one, I still think this one overall takes the cake. (Even though personally I think for the Great Hall segment itself, 2018 is still probably my favourite, but I have to look at the total picture). It's kind of like a contest, where the others have a couple of first prizes, a few third and fourth, but this one has the most second prizes, averaging out the score and thus still finishing on top. I think we can give Lego a pass for advertising this as "the most detailed Hogwarts Castle". I think it's definitely gonna be the definitive minifigure scale version (or system I suppose) they could realistically and reasonably make. Although I will probably try to combine it with all the previous versions to make it a little bit better, definitely the interior at least. And I will also try to make the stairs a bit less straight. I do think it's funny we got Daphne Greengrass before Astoria. -

This Aragog is amazing, it's (almost) as good as Shelob. Finally, the 2002 one has been dethroned. The only way they could do this better is if they were to make him the next big buildable creature like they did with the Hungarian Horntail.
