Disney Properties 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

That dragon looks so good. And apparently, we will see another one of those pictures later today. If it still turns out to be somehow fake, the creator should definitely use their talents for different things than to waste them on fake leaks xD -

I know the helmet is accurate, but it somehow looks odd to me without the hair sticking out xD. It looks very clean though, I absolutely love the eyes and mouth/nose thingy. -

Now you're scaring me. I was mostly expecting either Ron or Harry in the old Quidditch robes (or the banners sweater). Best case scenario would be for it to be the 2018 style (diagon alley) ravenclaw quidditch robe with Cho Chang and then the Quidditch Trunk to have the tryouts uniforms from HBP. -

On the one hand I would dislike the sorting hat and burrow leaks to be true, on the other hand, with all the sets in other themes that are releasing this year, my wallet could use a view skipable sets (although the Burrow might still be on my list, depending on how it will look). -

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, I was just very, very sceptical. But either way, I want to apologise. I already thought it was very weird why you would suddenly start posting fake stuff after all this time. I should have known better. In that case I'm very excited for the disney sets, especially the dragon. -

Okay let's just say you are speaking the truth, you mentioned the moderators didn't allow you to post pictures here. So does that mean you have pictures you can post elsewhere? Like Instagram for example? -

There appears to be the confundus charm, the deathly hallows symbol (as seen in the video on lego's site). There are still 2 tiles I can't pinpoint, one looks like a clock, so maybe clock tower clock. For the desk kit there's also the sorting hat. -

Yeah I was thinking this as well. Besides, if it were a eurobricks moderator stopping them from posting the pics here, there is nothing stopping them from posting them elsewhere. Not that a lego survey moderator would ever say "yeah sure share all this new info." -

Meh, not my cup of tea. I was hoping for things like tiles with the house crests, just simple stuff one could use in the regular sets. The only one that really works for me is the Chocolat Frog and card. The characters look a lot like those Chibi Pencil Toppers, no doubt so they can use them together. Pencil toppers and holders. I'm pretty sure there's Voldemort and Bellatrix as well. -

The Hedwig Dots Pencil Holder appears to have leaked on instagram. It's kinda cute, but there's no exclusive printed pieces or anything, so easy skip. -

10+ year old account suddenly decides to do a little trolling? XD This all sounds so weird to me, especially the Harry Potter info, it doesn't align at all with the news we've gotten so far, and somehow doesn't include any of the sets we actually know about. Maybe so that these "leaks" won't get disproven too quickly? And you're somehow allowed to talk about it by the surveys "moderators"? You're allowed to basically reveal an entire new theme? (Zelda as mentioned in the other topics). Leaks like that got an entire Star Fox and Zelda series on netflix cancelled by Nintendo. Nah, this can't possibly be true. Wouldn't even be too happy with the Harry Potter news if it somehow was. -

I feel like it would depend on how big a potential redesign would be. Like they kept the overall (Llama) shape of the building the same as Stark Tower, one would look at it and would instantly recognise it as the same building. Obviously they wouldn't do 2 entirely different colours for the building in one set, that would almost double the pieces, but if the change for version 3 is just minor, like only the logo and another small detail, I could see it happen. Similar to how they included both dish pieces for the Millennium Falcon. In the end, I feel it would mostly just come down to minifigure inclusion and interior design if they were to include stuff from all 3 iterations (would they ever do such a set). With the main focus being the Avengers tower. But I also feel like it wouldn't be out of the question to include 3 different logos. A Stark logo with a falling letters play feature would simply be a nice extras, I don't think anyone would bat an eye if the rest of the building doesn't quite match as long as they don't advertise it as the Stark tower, but simply as the avengers tower. But maybe that's simply too wishful thinking for a potential set. -

I feel like if they were to do an Avengers Tower, they might want to wait until we have seen whoever bought the building, as that appears to be a pretty big deal in the mcu going forward. That way, they can perhaps include 3 different logos for us to change around and use minifigures from 3 different movies. So Stark Tower and the original Avengers for said movie, could pretty much include all figures from the new Quinjet plus a new Hawkeye and Hulk, Avengers Tower for Age of Ultron with Ultron and some others and then whatever they wanna do next, Baxter Building for fantastic 4 perhaps? Idk. Could even include Spidey in his homemade suit, vulture (from the nwh wave) and Happy to represent the big move in Homecoming (and such continue the trend of including Spidey in the modular sets). My point being with a modular Avengers Tower going to be the definitive lego version, I feel like they don't want to release it only for it to be outdated within a year or 2 (when it still sits on the store shelves). -

The lego instructions app lists dc super heroes as a retired theme... (And Batman as current). Should we be worried? -

It used to be unheard off, but nowadays Harry Potter does it all the time. Like we got 9 figures in the ministry of magic 10+1 in the chamber of secrets. Etc. So if they can do it for "regular" HP sets I can't see why they can't do it for Disney's 100th anniversary. Especially if the build will be decently sized. If it will happen is another question, but it definitely could. -

The only reason I can come up with is that either A: they simply wanted to fill the gap they left after just giving maleficent by finally giving us Aurora. Or option B: The Aurora in the cmf series is the one in her forest cottage outfit (explaining the inclusion of the owl) and we will see her in the pink dress in a set. I simply can't see them release a sleeping beauty set without Aurora. Now if they did a set, I would love to see Maleficent in her dragon form either as the set itself or as an extra to a castle build. -

I feel like we might perhaps see the old witch disguise with an apple in the set (if there is a set) leaving the queen version for the cmf. -

Oooh, that's interesting. So a lot is basically still on the table at this point? Hopefully we will get our first glimpse at what the anniversary sets actually have to offer when the Peter Pan and Wendy set is revealed. I mean it releases March 1st so fingers crossed we don't have to wait much longer. -

That's a shame. Although in that case I wonder what Falconfan is expecting the remaining sets to be. As he said he would expect a decent amount of Mickey and Minnie variants this year. And so far we only have 2 and 1 respectively. -

I thought the one by Rebrickable was kinda cool, it's system size and includes the stands, the hedges look like a pain to build though. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-121114/JL.Bricks/triwizard-maze/#details Although a third task maze also feels like an odd set to make, definitely doesn't look that good as a display piece as the outside is basically just a green wall, it only looks good from a top view imo. That's why I thought it might be better to connect it to some kind of feature to help sell it. -

If I had to take a guess what those 4 sets could be, I would say Alice in Wonderland Tea Party, probably a non minifigure set like arts or something, Snow White Cottage, and considering the leaked teaser in the catalogue probably something Aladin related like the prince Ali parade or the Cave of Wonders (although I really hope Aladin is not the case, rather have something new). There's also still the missing Mickey and Friends set 10779, which is still mentioned on Jedijacpenguin's site. I wonder what's up with that one, has it been canceled or simply moved to 2023? -

Let's just pretend for a moment this theme was indeed going to end this year. What would everyone want the remaining sets to be to finish of the theme? So the contents of the advent calendar, 76418, 76422 and 76423? For me it will have to be Weasley Themed advent calendar, with Fred and George in their F and G christmas sweaters (PS variants of them would be a first, and those weasley sweaters just felt like the most christmasy figures any HP AC have given us), Arthur (I feel like a recoloured Eggshell piece might work as his crown). Setting could partialy be Grimmauld Place, throw in Sirius and you already have a pretty nice AC. Then for the remaining builds it's harder, I looked at what needs to be made to have this theme as completed as possible, taking into consideration what still can and can not be included in the sets we already know of. The Durmstrang Ship feels like a must to complete the Goblet of Fire range. I think it requires the second D2C spot (rather than the Knight Bus rumors) to be able to make this set though. Then I would say the biggest places missing that weren't represented in one way or another would be the Lovegood House (only way I can see a Xenophilius figure happen, plus crucial if we want the Deathly Hallows represented). And the Shell Cotage for Fleur and Bill. Sure Malfoy Manor is more desirable, but the figures could still appear in the Battle of Hogwarts, plus the once that can't (DH Ollivanders) can be included in the Shell Cotage as a more child friendly setting. Leaky Cauldron was in some way represented in the 2021 AC, Borgin and Burkes was represented with Mr Borgin in the figure pack. And they might have some trouble standing on their own, plus they could still be represented in one way or another in the Gringotts set (although we would have probably have known it by now if that would be the case).
