  1. Oh no, I really wouldn't like that. I mean I want FB figures but not when they take up HP slots.
  2. Yeah you're probably right. But they can also only say so much without giving us false hopes. Either way I'm excited to get my hands on a fully detailed gunship.
  3. Star Wars is a really different kind of theme. It's a space movie so the spaceships matter, just like with a racing movie the cars matter and with a pirate movie the ships matter. +in star wars ships are basically the locations. I think few people would argue with you if you said the Millenium Falcon was the most important location in the movies (or something like that, you get the point). While with super heroes the movies are really about the heroes so you want sets that represent the heroes well. Swinging in between buildings for spidy, mansion and labs for Iron Man, something to smash for the hulk. It's only with heroes like the guardians where spaceships are suddenly important again. Or with sets centered around shield (like Nick Fury for example). Or the plane for Captain America the first avenger. Lego seems unable to find a nice balance in these marvel sets nowadays. While a theme like Harry Potter has found the perfect balance between locations, vehicles, play features and creatures. But that's just my opinion.
  4. Yes and no, they just said they were gonna rewatch episode 2. Can't really pull a conclusion from that yet. They usually look at multiple sources when designing their sets. Like even with the UCS falcon which had both radar dishes.
  5. Well apparently the designing process still has to start so they can still look at our wishes.
  6. Yeah I'm pretty sure I came across that one Still have nightmares and not because of the troll. Yeah, if you usually find yourself needing about 50cm depth if you want to display everything, but that's hard to pull off, especially if you want display cabinets that deep. Personally I rotate some stuff around from time to time, putting the other sets in boxes for the time being, but that's far from ideal and the boxes are kinda starting to take up too much space.
  7. My dark ages ended about the time Lego Harry Potter ended. I wanted to catch up on so many themes (especially the new super heroes ones) that I only picked up the freeing dobby set. But around 2016/2017 I got really into HP again. So I was just waiting on some good deal on the old sets when the rumors of 2018 HP came along. I decided on buying a few characters just in case, including Sprout to finish up the house heads and the troll because I always wanted to get him. Still must have Fluffy too somewhere from my childhood, although I don't know where. But for the most part I'm patient for Lego to give us new stuff. Yeah is pretty hard finding a decent unboxing video on a 20 year old set. Either people buy a sealed box but don't show the building process, or show the building process but without having a sealed box. I'm so jealous right now. That's exactly what I want but display cabinets are so expensive and everytime I save up the money it somehow gets lost to some Danish bricks. The old sets were almost never really based on a specific Hogwarts section. 4867 isn't either, just looks like a castle section. Closest thing it resembles is probably the viaduct entrance or belltowers, but that's already stretching it. It also borrows a few elements from the astronomy tower in it's left tower. The bridge is most likely a combination of the viaduct (considering it's location and appearance) and the Wooden Bridge (considering it's play feature being based on the scene with Neville (who's also included) blowing up the bridge)
  8. I can't agree with you on that. Back when I was a kid, when the Spider-Man 2 sets were coming out, I absolutely loved the Spider-Man Subway set, as well as the Bank and the bridge with cable car. (Doc Ock's hideout not so much as it kept falling apart because of the play feature, so I rebuild it in something I did like) + I always wanted to get my hands on the origins set because of the transforming green goblin feature. A while ago, when I talked with my friends (who aren't into Lego), the subject of lego came up and they all mentioned how much they loved the spider-man sets as kids, especially the subway because (like me) they loved to reenact that particular scene from the movie. Or the bridge were they let spider-man hang from and swing from the cable car. When I look at children playing with Lego nowadays, I usually see them building things like towers and stuff with the occasional spider-man hanging from it. The pieces in buildings are also way better to build something completely different with, which is what children eventually love the most about Lego when they're done playing with the regular build. With all these things like mechs and motorcycles most pieces serve as a particular part of the build, hard to reuse in other scenarios unless you have a bunch of spair pieces laying around. My point is children do love buildings, they're usually the one thing they make on their own + they probably sell better to girls than vehicles. Children also love to get things they recognise, they want imitate the things they see. That's probably why lego city keeps doing so well, with the fire department, police, ambulance. In spider-man's case they mostly want to replicate the movies, especially the Web swinging, that's were spider-man is known for, that's why the ps4 game sold so well, so that people could crawl into the skin of spider-man and swing around the city, that's the first thing most people did while playing the game. Yet it barely appears in the sets. But that's just what I got from my personal observation, might be completely different somewhere else.
  9. Yes it did. You can see the box here in the bags: https://images.app.goo.gl/eFTbJRDS4aDzsTin6
  10. Yeah what's up with that Lego? The one vehicle we want
  11. It really is isn't it? I kinda feel bad for the fans of the other themes, they really don't get the same amount of detail, care and variety in the sets as we do. It really doesn't get much better than this. We really get everything, System Scale sets cmf series (unlike Marvel and Star Wars), advent calendars (unlike Marvel and DC), micro/nanoscale (or whatever the right name for it is) sets (unlike star wars and DC), 'statues' (unlike DC and Jurassic World?) Sets with almost only exclusive figures, many with full detail. Tons of new molds. Vehicles, locations, creatures, buildings with interiors in every single wave so far. Boy do I love Lego Harry Potter, we really get what we're paying for, value for money or however the saying goes.
  12. Yeah neither am I. I already own both new and old Grievous and tons of Obi-Wans. Cody would've been the only interesting thing. Still the set would be great (but pricey) for anyone who doesn't. However they're probably having a better deal buying the grievous combat speeder and duel on mustafar sets. At least it will save me some money for the other sets.
  13. I didn't even know it really existed That thing is hilarious. I would only buy that as a joke, but still, a very funny one xD
  14. Well we still need many sets, we can't get everything at once. Barely anyone would be able to afford that. There would be very few 'true fans' left if Lego did that. Well the examples I gave, being Ginny and the death eaters like Lucius or Bellatrix definitely don't have have yellow face. The only characters that are left without flesh colours would be Vernon (who we're getting this year in this 'very disappointing' wave) Lockhart and Tom Riddle. The latter would be very easy to create with the parts Lego gave us in case you really can't wait and Lockhart still has plenty of chance to appear in this wave (so does Tom Actually). All the others, which are really just animal molds or creatures, would still work next to the flesh figures. And no, you don't have to wait several years for Lego to make skipped sets. We got the whomping willow in wave 1. The yule ball, waiting tent, Beauxbaton Carriage and forbidden forest lake in wave 2. And in this wave we're getting the Astronomy Tower, Grawp in the Forbidden Forest and Room of Requirements. All sets that we never got so we could technically say they were skipped. But again Lego can't just give us everything at once, that would be a terrible move as barely anyone would be able to buy that. Great that you have the money lying around to afford that. Most people don't. Besides this theme would be done rather quickly if Lego made a set with all main characters in one set. Lego is doing what will be sold, they've been doing so for 2 waves now and by the look of the youtube videos, Instagram posts and anyone's comments here they will be bought, a lot. That's except for maybe your comment, not sure if you'll buy them, but going by your 'true fans buy everything' comment I assume it will even be sold to you. The Cos won't be a failed set, but that doesn't mean others will be, nor that they should make it right away. Just a quick reminder not everyone here is English, in fact most people probably aren't, so they might have read the books or seen the movies in their own language, thus not knowing the precise English way to write things. This is Eurobricks after all, not Englishbricks. It's hard enough for us to check the English names every time as it is, small mistakes are easily made. That's amazing, I will definitely be using this. I really don't get why Lego didn't do this themselves considering they paid so much detail to everything else in this revived theme.
  15. Well that should be me, and I couldn't disagree more. We're getting tons of important sets and characters. The dursleys? Appeared in almost every book and Vernon was even the first character in the entire series + he has been a narrator. He also comes in the very important set of Harry Potter's childhood's home (or lack thereof depending how you look at it). + a new owl mold, which the 'true fans' have been requesting for ages. Next we finally are getting centaurs, not that important in the movies perhaps, but they are important in the books, which should be very important to a 'true fan'. And also important for a fan of Lego because of the new centaur body mold, gotta love that. Ask anyone. Than there's Grawp, a long time requested character, even getting brickbuild so he might even be the right size (unlike what the lego games did). And of course there's another Umbridge, which is very nice from Lego to throw in as both versoins are very hard to get your hands on now. Next up the room of requirements with 2 new patronuses, 'true fans' must be really excited about that, finally a way to show some kind of spell and great for playability for the onces that don't just want to use it as decoration on a shelf. If Lego keeps things up like this we might even see everyone with a patronus eventually. Also the set potentially comes with new student robes, most importantly ravenclaw, which is basically all the 'true fans' ever really asked for since forever. And we all know getting just a taste from Cho and Susan wasn't enough after Gryffindor also got the robes. Next up the astronomy tower and greenhouses. I would call that an important set, it's the next most important Hogwarts part to get. And it even includes the ravenclaw common room. Didn't appear in the movies, but it did in the books. 'Real fans' must surely be very excited about that. I for one am. And we're getting 'grown up' versions of Draco and Neville, which is truly important for us 'true fans'. And of course there's new character Lavender Brown, at long last. And Slughorn becomes available to the wide audience for the first time, considering bricktober packs must be truly hard for some people to get their hands on. + There's the chance of him finally having his iconic hat (although not guaranteed ofcourse.) And then there's obviously still the chance of getting other figures that were missing of the list like the rumored Fred and George, the supposedly missing figures in the astronomy tower, the exclusives in the confirmed advent calendar we still don't know the details of, the rumored figure for the Hedwig build (which I kinda understand to be a disappointment for people who care about things other than display). And ofcourse there still is the cmf series we still know nothing about with 16 new figures. And that's only if that's all of the sets, while we still could get more like the rumored d2c. And ofcouse the 'true fans' can always still pick up characters like the Death Eaters or Ginny from the older sets if they really can't wait that long. But they must already have them, as by your definition a 'true fan' is someone who bought absolutely everything. I guess I might not be a true fan after all, oh well, at least I'm happy with what we're getting.
  16. I really want that Iron Venom, he looks so good (except for the legs). Shame we keep getting the same Spider-Man over and over again though, if they gonna make tons of sets like these they surely can do better than changing the legs for some sets. And the builds are once again ridiculous. I just want something for Spidey to swing across, but we keep getting vehicles. They could do so many things other than vehicles: a new Daily Bugle, a secret lair/lab, Street Lights, or regular New York locations like Central Park, Statue of Liberty. Or if they really need to make vehicles do things based on New York like a taxi or subway. But oh well, we know how things are like with this theme. I'm probably gonna end up on Bricklink again. But I'm probably being too negative so I'll focus on the positives: I guess it works well next to the spidercrawler and I like the little propeller rotor thingy Carnage is holding, that's a cute little build.
  17. In my opinion the most important section they should make next is the viaduct entrance as it will finish the front view of Hogwarts. I think it could come with the boathouse, like the greenhouse comes with the astronomy tower. And perhaps the bridge behind the clock tower, the one which Neville burns in DH. Afterwards they will probably do the gryffindor tower, or something that could fit the chamber of secrets. That part in between the viaduct and marble staircase tower also comes to mind.
  18. Ow, so Gru is still a kid in this one? That might ruin the figure potential.
  19. We could see Wanda and Vision's home as it appears the be the one location in all scenes. Perhaps with some feature that makes the room all twisted or black and white pieces 'corrupring' the house to hint at what's going on. For Falcon and Wintersoldier I expect just some kind of air vehicle considering we've mainly seen people falling from the sky so they must have jumped out of something I think and it's Lego marvel we're talking about.
  20. That could explain why some people reported only prequel sets and others said Clone wars/prequel. Perhaps the clone wars builds are just prequel ships but with clone wars figures? That would be a shame as I was hoping for at least some new ships. We'll have to wait and see I guess.
  21. That could work, although I think Lego would want to keep a WWW option open for a potential future set. But there are still plenty of other variations left so I think that would be a pretty nice solution. I'm sorry, we were actually speculating about a microscale (or would it be nano scale?) Diagon Alley rather than system scale. For which Griphook would probably be too small xD. Although for a system scale Diagon Alley they could do the PS version of Griphook and put the DH version in a Malfoy Manor or Beach house set (forgot the name of that place). Of course this is all just speculation, no Diagon Alley set of any kind is rumored at the moment in case anyone was confused.
  22. What about the absence of the Half Blood Prince? Considering how important he was in Half Blood Prince. I strongly disagree. Think about a full micro interior in each shop. A dragon on top of Gringots Bank. WWW in full detail. A Three Brooms leading directly into the streets of London with a micro scale Knight Bus. A small alleyway leading into Knockturn Alley with a micro scale Hagrid doing some shopping (could be the baby mold or the old micro figures from the boardgames). Nah this would look great on display. Although I think they should maybe finish Hogwarts first.
  23. Don't do that, don't give me hope
  24. So now there's this Shrek rumor going around on Instagram by unknown and unreliable sources. That's gotta be fake right?
  25. The problem with the Hulkbuster is that the brickbuild bodies never really capture the actual suite too well. It's gonna be hard to pinpoint which suit is which if it weren't for the prints and stickers. So I just hope the new one comes with a very different helmet/face(?) print and maybe be in a regular red colour like the invincible iron man.
