Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Huigberts Builds replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think the hair top knot bun would work perfectly in dark tan for McGonagall from philosopher's stone. The general Leia hair in dark bluish gray should work for deathly hallows McGonagall. I don't think they'll do a new specialised piece for her hair but she will definitely need a new hair/hat combo, so does Sprout. Richard Harris Dumbledore would also benefit from a new hair/hat combo. Funko did him with baby Harry, I think that could work potentially well for a cmf figure, even though we already have him. But with a baby Harry, the hat and a dress piece I think it would still be desirable. At least better than a series 2 Maggie or an Arkham Joker. -

Yeah they used it for Reaper in the overwatch sets, I can see it working for Voldemort as well. -

I think hbp Harry is very likely to show up in sets. And I kinda have a feeling that in a year or 2 they will redo the quidditch field since we only got 1 half and because they will likely redo some sets after a while, but this time with a hbp team. Of course a cmf quidditch uniform would be great for army building, but the figure would be kinda useless because of his number, the keeper protection and because there probably wouldn't be any other houses represented in a hbp quidditch uniform so he would be kinda odd looking in between the other quidditch figures for now. -

Yeah I agree. They already did so for Neville so it wouldn't be too far of a stretch if they did it again Indeed, I rather have them in an advent calendar in their Christmas sweaters since that's the best way to keep them apart with the letters on the sweaters and all. It's also the closest thing to their looks in the old Harry Potter games which are very nostalgic to a lot of people. -

Yeah I think polyjuice Crabbe and Goyle are very likely for the cmf series, as well as cat Hermione. Best way to get some Slytherin robes and different variants for the heroes that wouldn't waste a spot (because most of their outfits are more set or advent calendar material). I could see them being done like Madeye, with double sided faces (maybe 2 heads in hermiones case) and a second hairpiece. About the sword. I think since Harry Potter has been around for so long it does deserve new molds like that, especially with a cmf series. Besides lotr wasn't around long enough to get that many new molds (3 years, 4 if you count dimensions) and since then Lego has just overall started giving us more new molds. Also wouldn't it be weird if it were the other way around? When lotr suddenly comes back, but they wouldn't give us new sword molds because HP never got one? Nah don't think that's a valid reason against the sword of gryffindor. -

I agree, as well as either new molded or printed pieces for the horcruxes. And maybe a specialised mold for the elder wand, considering its importance and since it had a different model from the other wands in the Lego games. Other than those I can't really think of anymore items that would really require a new mold. Well maybe the brooms. Anyway the only logical cmf inclusion for that sword would be with deathly hallows Neville, since I don't think they will do a new mold for the sets. -

Yeah I agree. I was disappointed when I heard it was Nano scale, but in the end I didn't even had the money to buy it since I already spend all my most on regular sets. Only wished I didn't had to miss out on the founders. Anyway when do you guys think we will see more news on the sets? Around April or something? Also is the cmf series 2 still rumored to happen this year? -

I just want Crabbe and Goyle in the cmf series, which would give us some robes. If the Hermione variant is Cat Hermione she would also come with some Slytherin robes. -

Nah those are just based on the old molds but with "printing" on the face, basically the exact same thing we saw in the Lego Harry Potter games, so it's no insight. Still the dobby route is indeed the most likely route. They usually do similar things with Star Wars, although that's usually just a colour swap (mon calamari, wookies, some droids) P.S. I only just noticed the troll in the under left corner. That's a new model right? It's not based on the old one like the goblins. Or is it from LOTR? -
Possible SpongeBob comeback in 2020?
Huigberts Builds replied to Brick Cucumber's topic in LEGO Licensed
I hope so, I loved the theme and we still need quite some figures and locations (mermaid man, barnacle boy, larry and all of the movie characters etc.) And by now all existing figures need huge updates (spongebob double moulded arms and legs, krabs needs claws, squidward leg printing or just completely new legs etc.) But sadly I doubt it will happen.- 18 replies

Yeah I was just about to edit my post. I think you're right it's probably a minifigure head on a bigfig body like Killow. I wished it was a bigfig head but I still love him

I love the new sets. I've gotta know your opinion on Roadhog. To me it looks like his head is in a slightly different pose on each picture. Could this be the first moveable big fig head? What do you guys think?

Meh don't know what to think of this advent calendar. McGonagal is a huge disappointment, but it's great for people who missed or couldn't afford the great Hall. This works pretty well as a teacher pack. I really wanted ps/cos flitwick, but I guess every new variant is a nice addition, the torso is also a very useful piece. I like the architect more than I would've thought, it looks so nice in gold. The side builds are great, really can make our Lego hogwarts even more lively. With that said I think it's fair to say this might still be the best advent calendar we've gotten in years, and that on a short notice, the designers keep outdoing themselves on this theme. -

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion

Sadly Pete never made an actual appearance in the parks so he won't be likely. It's about time he makes an appearance, at least when he turns 100 in 2025, oh well. Anyway is it a train for sure? I can also imagine it being one of the trolleys but with just a translation error. Still I could see them including Donald and Daisy again for the ones that missed the previous serie and want to reunite the duck family (it's been quite some time ago). Ofcourse there's still the castle but I don't know how long that one will be available (does anyone know? I still wanna buy it but I'm kinda focusing on different sets right now, don't wanna miss my last chance)- 961 replies

They're even cheaper on Bol.com, especially the knight bus. Except for expecto patronum -
I hope this means we'll see more lego sets based on Illumination movies because of the Mario movie in 2022 (as J2G pointed out in his video)

Something like that yeah. We'll probably get more death eaters in the long run to build an army, but I can imagine this being the only time we'll see the GoF one (which looks a lot different from the others), at least for now. -

Well I can still see a CMF Goofy variant, but what I meant was just not one in his regular orange shirt and blue pants since we will get that outfit in a set now (although a slight variation). Ofcourse it could still happen since we've seen it before with black and white mickey and minnie and even Maggie Simpson who was completely the same, but still I feel they rather go for completely different outfits like KH, 3 musketeers, Goof Troop, Mickey Mouse shorts/classic. Ofcourse I could be wrong.- 961 replies

Oh I love the Goofy figure. He's clearly based on the theme park. Although the only real difference is the waistcoat colour and the patch on the legs so I guess we'll never get a regular goofy in the cmf series since that would be too similar (although I guess that never stopped them before). I think it's real. It looks too good to be fake. Only problem I have is that it kills my last hope for the return of long arms and legs. Oh well.- 961 replies

I just really want lego game of thrones, I already know some scenes/locations that would make great sets. But I highly doubt we'll ever get them. I don't know anything about stranger things, but it looks like a show about some kids having some nostalgic 90s like adventures with some monsters in the mix, which doesn't sound too mature. While got on the other hand is often described simply as dragons, zombies, sex and dead, really doesn't sound child friendly. For a mature theme could still become a theme I might say the Avatar movies (blue people, although they could give the airbender a second shot as well) when they return around 2021.

I gotta have that jaws poster (or I guess sharks) I wonder how they got away with that. The set looks great.

Meh, that's a pretty weak pack, I only want it for Ned. I guess Bruce Banner's Torso works better on Maria than it ever did on Bruce, but still quite boring to see it reused. Ned's Torso looks like it uses some white, but I guess that's just he lightning because other than that it's identical to whomping willow's Harry Potter torso. And then there's spiderman... Still gonna buy it to get Ned, although a custom one might be a cheaper option, I'll see.

1) Clock Tower, I just love we're finally getting accurate parts of the Hogwarts Castle that can connect. + Great Figures 2) Hagrid's Hut, always loved the hut, it looks so comfy and it's screen accurate now + new buckbeak 3) Beauxbaton Carriage, I love the figures + I love colourful builds 4) Graveyard, Great figures, especially the death eater, build looks alright if you combine it with hidden side 5) Expecto Patronum, Army building + Sirius 6) Advent Calendar (only if it includes a dress for McGonagall and movie 1/2 Flitwick, otherwise it will come last 7) Knight Bus, the old knight bus set is just very nostalgic to me+ great figures. But it's not important enough to be high on my list 8) First Task, I like the figures, but the dragon just won't work for me -

I think I'm going to combine the new graveyard duel set with the hidden side graveyard, it looks like the 2 of them basically create and updated version of the first graveyard duel set. The colours even match up nicely and it has the overgrown theme going on for both of them. Only thing missing from the first one is some kind of carriage. I can even use the caretaker body to create Frank Bryce (although not screen accurate, but it would do the trick since he was a gardener/caretaker. Anyway I guess we won't get a baby voldemort? He was mentioned in 1 description I guess, but all of the other ones leave him out, but I hope I'm wrong about that one.
