Rushy CMF Series 20 Guessing Game
Huigberts Builds replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Most of these are completely random but I wanted to join in on the fun. 1. Centaur 2. Zorro inspired figure 3. Furry Monster (as lego ideas Sesame Street is coming soon) 4. Chef with new hat mold similar as the series 17 one but without the female hair. 5. Evil scientist assistent with hunchback 6. Kid dressed as angel with halo 7. Sea monster (hairpiece similar to medusa, but with tentacles, could be reused for Harry Potter mermaids) 8. Prehistoric kid with baby dinosaur (could work for jurassic world) 9. New magician with new bunny that could fit in a (new) hat. 10. Pregnant Woman 11. Sheriff of Nottingham 12. Pizza Delivery boy with skateboard (Pepper just like they did Johnny Thunder 13. Female Clown 14. Evil space cyborg with shoulder gun 15. Mrs. Gold -
DC Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

That's exactly what I imagine this set to be. Just a huge, black truck with front being somewhat bat-shaped. With the inside having a bat computer, a jail and probably place for a batmobile which could drive in from the back. I assume an area for Batman to change back into Bruce Wayne would be out of the question as he would never use it since a lot of bells would start ringing when Mr Wayne walks out of Batman's base. -
Potential LEGO Scooby-Doo comeback in 2020?
Huigberts Builds replied to MatthewRC's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah BrickHeadz is probably the chance to see Lego Scooby Doo again, but quite honestly I just think the deal is over. This movie was probably the last chance of seeing any other Scooby related Lego, but we would've known it by now if that was the case. I just hope we'll get more Hanna Barbera stuff with Lego ideas. But even those are disappointing, not even giving us the entire Flintstone cast. However I'll have to disagree that Lego makes a profit rather than satisfy fans and collectors. Sure they jump from license to license without giving us every possible thing, but by doing that they're at least able to touch on licenses that we otherwise would never get. And thus satisfying collectors and fans who like multiple ip's rather than just one. Otherwise we would've never gotten a theme like Scooby Doo in the first place. Of course we are not completely satisfied, but something is better than none. And I know there would be people saying things like: "Well I prefer only the Scooby Doo theme but done well rather than multiple one-off themes like Scooby Doo, Powerpuff Girls, Doctor Who, Angry Birds, Incredibles etc. But another would say they rather have one for Powerpuff Girls instead. In the end they satisfy more people by giving every fandom a small piece rather than giving one fandom everything. And sure it's all about profit too, they're a company after all, but it must go hand in hand with satisfying people, because a satisfied customer is a paying one. I for one rather miss out on every single untouched Scooby Doo villain or all remaining Simpsons characters, rather than having to miss out on all the other licensed themes we could still get.- 87 replies

Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Huigberts Builds replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not really. The Dursley house still has a lot going on. A garage that gives the building some shape, a nice garden. Bars before Harry's window, which could probably be blown off with a play feature. And if they somehow include the back garden it could even come with a conservatory. + it includes a car. There's also a huge different in size. Grimmauld Place is like a 4 storey building or something, even excluding the roof. And that's even without the neighbouring buildings which are quite important to turn a regular house into Grimmauld Place. They could never do it justice at $100,-. I'm sure it could be a nice set, but not at that price point. If they somehow make it work my mind would be blown, but it's a very unrealistic thing to hope for. We already know that the Weasley Car will come in the Privet Drive set. The current Hogwarts Express hasn't even retired yet so I think we won't see a new one anytime soon (unless they wanna do a D2C motorised version, but I don't think that will happen yet). -
LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Oh but I really want to. The AT-AT is the last thing missing from my Hoth display. I'm just really cautious with leaks so I won't set myself up for disappointment. But I guess the AT-AT was really the only logical set going of the hints. -

I agree that the Durmstrang ship could definitely use an upgrade. The old one is for like 50% one huge piece. They could do that much better nowadays just looking at the Destiny's Bounty for example. Still it won't be cheap, they could never pull it off in a $100,- set. -
LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Huigberts Builds replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Is it though? It kinda seemed like a joke towards the comment of "not wanting EB to become the source to an instagram troll post". Especially since the Instagram story clearly gives credit to "Hoth Rebel on EuroBricks", who as far as we know only gave hints. I know this Instagram leaker is reliable, but I'm not sure if this was a real confirmation. Although I might be looking too much into this. -

I guess that's true. Still the Hogwarts Express also had a station so only three really. Of course the Express was the main build and can stand on its own but so could the others, although in a considerably smaller set. Like an open Hogwarts carriage could stand on it's own like the grindelwald one, however it might be a little bit too repetitve to get so soon after the other one. The vault car could also work on its own with some roller coaster track pieces, similar to what they did with the first Gringots set, but they might indeed rather combine it with a bigger bank build. The problem is that opposite to the Sanctum Sanctorum (with its special round roof window, the cafetaria under the apartment and the just overall very appealing building) Grimmauld Place is just a visually very boring and unappealing building. The only thing that makes it stand out is the appearing between buildings feature, which can't be left out of such a set. Problem is, that would raise the price far beyond $100,-. Personally I think it's either WWW, which could work like the sanctum sanctorum, only the inside would be kinda dull, or more likely the Burrow. Still has the price been confirmed? I know the set numbers have been, but I'm uncertain if the price was. -

Yeah I agree, it's been quite some time since we've gotten a regular, angry hulk in an olive green colour without an outfit. -

There's also the 2 version of the Dursley's car, but they're unlikely to be made into sets. Than there's the Hogwarts Carriage from OotP (an open carriage, different from the COG carriage we received. The Gringots Vault Cart. The sleigh fudge uses in hogsmeade in poa (could come with a 3 broomsticks set). The inferi cave boat. And there are probably still more to come in the Fantastic Beasts movies. Plus the before mentioned Durmstrang Ship and Sirius his motorbike. That's at least 6 more sets with a vehicle (not counting Dursley's (which could kinda come in a zoo or privet drive re-release) and the fantastic beasts vehicles that are yet to come. I think there's still plenty of sets including vehicles to come. Especially considering Lego likes to recycle every few years. -

I've seen the leak on Instagram, but it comes from a supposedly new account with 0 followers. Not sure if he got the information from someone else or if he's just a new leaker but I'm very doubtful about this information and whether he's trustworthy or not. It also sounds a little bit too good to be true. Has anyone heard of him before? -

Still looks better than genie Will Smith. Anyway this version indeed looks quite a lot like the Lego one, similar but not the same. Lego could indeed have taken some inspiration from these movies. Tbh I don't think it will replace hidden side (yet). The theme is selling pretty well from my understanding so Lego would be crazy to get rid of it. Especially now that the Ninjago sets are so lackluster for the most part. -
Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Huigberts Builds replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well it's a 4+ set after all, so I wouldn't call it a remake. I assume they kinda break the regular lineup like the junior sets did as well. On a sidenote, is it just me or does that spider-ham set sounds exactly the same as the iron-venom set but with some different figures? Black crawling vehicle? Check! Small side vehicle with stud shooters? Check! Oh yes you're right, I'm sorry. Still mixes them up from time to time as my brain just reads over the €, £ and $ signs xD. -
Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

Wow these are sounding interesting. So 2 avenger towers? Regular with 5 floors and 4+ with 2. I believe Modok was already teased a few days ago by FalconFan1414, would be cool to see him in the Helicarier. Which sounds very promising with the Quinjet that can land on it. I wonder how they'll pull that off. Not sure what the Hulk buster without a hulk is all about. Might be purplish blue like the rescue suit? Minifigure selection also sounds good, with a Hulk in the 4+ set and which I could only assume are a comic based Captain Marvel + Nick Fury. I assume the agents are Hydra agents considering we get Red Skull? The price for the helicarier sounds kinda odd. And since it's a $199,99 marvel set it might be related to that new zebra thing? Anyway I think I might pick up the 2 avenger towers and the Helicarier. -

Yeah I agree, they look indeed like sneakers. This is gonna be a really interesting theme. Can't wait to see more of it. Gotta get my hands on the cmf monkey king real quick now. -

Not sure if this is the right place for this but as I've seen someone mention before, the leaked bigfig does have some strong connections to Sha Wujing. (Red) beard? Check! Partially bald? On the sides, so check! Somewhat Grisly? Check! And the most important feature, a Necklace of skulls? Well he has a necklace but rather without the skulls. It could be the bhikkhu necklace he eventually gets on the journey. He's also blue in some media. I'd say it's definitely him. I wonder what is staff will look like. He looks especially like his depiction in this picture: https://images.app.goo.gl/5dmeCdNW1pPxJNnJ9 On a sidenote, is it just me or do his pants kinda look like jogging pants rather than more traditional pants. Ofcourse the cord could be some kind of belt, but it kinda makes you wonder if this is a more modern interpretation of journey to the west. They might actually call him Sandy as it's somewhat easier for the western audience. Also, I really wonder how they'll depict Zhu Bajie. If they make him slightly more brownish and hog like I might be able to finally make a purist Bebop for TMNT. I've been wanting a humanoid hog for such a long time (as the cmf pig simply doesn't work and overwatch's roadhog is more of a mask than an actual hog). -

@Legohp25 is that the troll chasing Quirrell? That's quite hilarious I love how you made the viaduct and stairs to the boathouse. Did you put an exploding play feature in the viaduct? Like the one in 4867? I thought I spotted some kind of knob. I really gotta make myself a rock foundation someday. Any tips? -

I had no idea the dragon would look so good on the tower. This looks really good. This is probably the best purist Lego centaur I've seen to date. I assume the behind and front aren't connected? I've no idea how you would've connected them otherwise. Anyway the size is pretty much perfect, I hope the official mold will be similar in size (either like this or like Robert8's cmf series). -

Not necessarily, however Lego usually doesn't put that much faith in tv shows. I mean look at the lack of mandalorian sets this year (from what the rumors tell us) so you might be right. Would be another missed opportunity on lego's part. But we didn't get sets for the marvel shows prior to disney+ either so I wouldn't really be too surprised. -

To be precise, he commented: 'There's also a new Hedwig owl, with spread wings.' Kinda odd to put it there, but you might be right. In case there's still a new owl mold, I really hope it comes in gold someday to make the great hall's podium. -

? I need a moc of this now. In the end I guess it's really the childs imagination were the sets should be all about. That reminds new of how back in the day at first I used to have Spider-Man and Doc ock as live entertainment/acrobats on a cruiseship I build from old sets.
