  1. What colours are Pohatu and his creature??? Do they keep with the dark orange scheme? The mask I would really love to see, this is super exciting!!! Did they keep the trans-neon green on Pohatu? I really hope they did! Thanks for the info too!!!
  2. Could not agree with you more.
  3. Yeah, I admit I used the term erroneously. I think it was more my dislike for what they were saying showing.
  4. That has to be one of the most ludicrous things I've ever heard. This person does not speak for the whole population of kids in 2001 that were interested in either LEGO System or Bionicle. I'd love to ask this person what exactly they mean by 'simplicity' in a set. According to this person, huge pieces that could barely ever move (Toa arms, legs) were more complex because they had gear functions (which were all the same in every set save for one). If this person is talking about rahi....yeah, function was sacrificed in order to gain a better aesthetic , as well as be able to pose figures better. How on earth is that simpler than 30 big block pieces? The Inika, the Titans exhibited a great deal of designer complexity...I'm also a bionicle fan speaking from my experience beginning in 2003 when I myself was 12 years old. Some people have their opinions, which is fine, but to blatantly attack a Bionicle line via accusing it of being less complex than the one in 2001? I highly disagree with that statement. I think this person was too swallowed up by nostalgia to even consider progress as a positive idea.
  5. It's a tad odd. They have upload dates posted under the videos themselves...all of which point to Wednesdays (last two being August 5th and 12th) being the official launches of the videos...c'mon LEGO, what're you doing. Trolls.
  6. Still waiting for episode 12.....I wanna know what happens next!!
  7. Oh wow, Grievous is incredible! He looks like a super entertaining build.
  8. I unfortunately missed out on the 2001 Toa...my first Toa was actually Tahu Nuva, who turned out to be my favourite of the Toa Nuva. Lewa Nuva was a close second. I knew I was going to love this year's Lewa...but I did not expect to love Pohatu as much as I do. Tahu definitely regressed on my favourite list. Kopaka impressed me much more than Tahu did design-wise...I think it's because I love the transparent pieces.
  9. Haha funnily enough, Pohatu turned out to be my favourite figure of the winter wave. Guess it's just a feeling?
  10. Fair enough, it's your opinion.
  11. Again, personally, Basher I like. Skull Warrior and Skull Grinder, on the other hand, not as interesting for me. I do like Skull Warrior's asymmetry, but the weapons, again, we've seen them before (Kopaka's staff, Gali's harpoon, or Protector of Jungle's bow). To me, that's not particularly new.
  12. To be quite fair, I don't see much of anything special with any of the builds other than Scorpio. Yeah, Basher has an interesting new design and what looks to be a fun play feature...but he's pretty much the same as the others, except for the bash box build. Ekimu is almost exactly like a protector and Kulta might as well also be the same as most other gear-function figures. Skull Warrior, in my opinion, is super generic...might as well have combined protector and toa designs with him. I dunno. I feel bad for these two sets. I feel that they're underrated.
  13. I get MMvSK, SW, and Basher selling well...but I'm stumped with Slicer being the odd one out. Scorpio I get...it looks ugly, although the function looks like it'd be very fun to use, but Slicer looks really cool. Wonder why he's selling so poorly.
  14. 2001 AFOL becoming worried that LEGO would change for him, like that's a cardinal sin. Typical AFOL no offence to anyone...but we see the same type of complaints about new LEGO sets today. Just visit the Star Wars forum and you'll see tons of people hating on the constraction sets coming out in September. It's the problem of nostalgia.
  15. Yeah....not too surprised those were fakes. If we've learned anything from LEGO Bionicle, it's that, to this day, we've never gotten newer toa with the exact same mask molds. Still hoping to see a version of the Miru Nuva on Lewa in the new wave....I really want to see pictures!!!!! What I'd like to see in the new wave of Toa: -Gali getting a better weapon, getting secondary yellow shells to go with the blue (I feel all blue was too bland), getting a new mask obviously, also YELLOW EYE STOCK, PLEASE -Lewa....I really don't see him getting improved...I loved version 1...but if anything, a version of the Miru Nuva (one of my favourite bionicle masks)..please keep same keetorange/green colour scheme...maybe more neck articulation (that didn't bother me so much for version 1) -Onua...more trans-purple -Tahu...trans-orange...he needs the orange to come back..I found that to be a main problem for me about his colour scheme (red and gold is good though)... -Kopaka- oh dear this one's difficult, I love the first version of him. Ok, give him a better shield and maybe a sword. -Pohatu-my favourite of the V1 Toa...funnily enough, I am looking forward to seeing what they do with him. I hope they don't change his colour scheme, as I love the neon green with dark orange...would like to see what a new mask would look like (but no pohatu phantoka version!)...I liked him a lot otherwise. Have no idea what to say about the rest. I am looking forward to seeing new mask designs though.
  16. That may be, but if you think about it, that was the debut for Bionicle. The skull villains did not come with the "full package", except for Kulta vs Ekimu, which I'm not counting. The fact that the new toa would be 'uniters' heavily suggests that getting both sets might be more beneficial for you. I don't think that would take away from being ok with buying just one toa and ignoring the creatures or vice versa, because the newer toa will be improved builds I suppose. I'm looking forward to Pohatu...he's my favourite of the toa, I love his colour scheme, and I really am looking forward to seeing what else they do with his build. Also will keep a close eye on Tahu, Lewa. I feel like Tahu could look really cool if he had trans-orange bones, kind of like Jaller from the Inika in 2006. We'll see.
  17. Episode 11 is up on Bionicle.com in English
  18. Hey guys... if these rumours are true, what's to say that there will be no newer versions of the Toa masks? What if you can buy a toa, but if you need the newer mask, you have to buy one of those matching creatures, which would have their own mask, as well as a new combination design that the toa would put on (an extra mask in the set) kind of like the golden masks of wave one? That way, you almost certainly would have to buy both.
  19. After G1....I have to admit that I did not appreciate 2004 as much as I do now. 2004 had excellent projectile weapons, really good story, best Toa since the Mata, and pretty dark villains. That was a fantastic year for Bionicle. 2005.....was not good. I still like Keetongu, but other than him, a huge meh for me. 2006....honestly, really good year for Bionicle, but I never quite got into it. I remember the Piraka commercials, and thinking that they were odd....but it was 2007 that really brought me back into Bionicle. 2006 had an interesting story, excellent figures, as well as titans. However, 2007's very dark story, mixed with that awesome, awesome, awesome Barraki/Mahri commercial, sealed the deal for my return, albeit short return into Bionicle. 2008-2010.....I couldn't get into the 2008 sets. Just didn't like them. I did not like Glatorian at all, and the last year was probably the worst in Bionicle ever.
  20. Call of Ekimu, the Toa will answer him beginning August 10th in our group
  21. Does anyone know how often these episodes are released by lego? I really wanna see 11
  22. Also...when last year did we first see Bionicle 2015 set leaks? I really am curious to see what LEGO comes up with for the new toa..or new characters in 2016.
  23. Why is there so much dislike of the Bohrok? They were released a decade ago...and in that time, they did their jobs well. They could be posed, could be stored, had an action feature that knocked masks off of the toa...what else would you have wanted? Also, you can juggle them in their ball forms. I personally loved the Bohrok...kinda still do.
  24. That sounds cool. Personally, I think Lewa would look even cooler with a bow...I don't know why...but I feel like that would really suit the character. Love the axes and the katana despite my thinking this though.
