  1. Is the name of one of the spin offs too much of a spoiler btw?
  2. Yep, clearly, we need a new thread specifically for TFA. I agree. Everyone has a different opinion about this subject, so I think that that is likely the best solution. I haven't seen anyone else talking about non-TFA sets on this thread for awhile, so the spoiler tag would just make this discussion useless. We'll have ten people actually reading the posts with tags, which likely will dominate the discussion, while everyone else finds themselves skipping through pages, which can be frustrating in itself.
  3. I completely disagree with you. The 'worthy rumour' doesn't exist. It can't. People will react differently to information being given to them. Case and point, people in the LOTR forums were convinced that lego was releasing a bunch of sets from the films which turned out to be completely false, even though lego could very well have released these sets. Point is a rumour is a rumour, a whisper, we don't know if it's true, we know that someone has said it, so it could be true. Next, the subject that is supposed to be discussed in this forum is that of star wars 2015 set rumours and pictures. We have not seen pictures of these sets. However, some people have posted rumours about what these sets are, will be, will contain. That, to me, is discussing a rumour about something. In the process, character names will be revealed, ships will be revealed, and those will all be spoilers. On a different note, I'm very much looking forward to the summer wave of sets. I think there's a 90 percent chance that we will not see anymore Prequel Trilogy sets after this year, due to the fact that new Star Wars movies will be coming out yearly for the next five years or so. Flash Speeder looks great, I'm annoyed by battle droids, but the other figures are great. They're not new designs per se, but they're still nice to get. The speeder itself looks very well constructed, the design is a tad bit inaccurate, but that's a small nit pick imo. Naboo Starfighter looks slightly improved from the last one we saw in 2011-12, I love the shooting mechanism they've designed for it...I just wish it came with just the ship. Not a fan of all the other stuff that comes with the fighter. Death Star Final Duel is a huge set to avoid, at least for me, considering it's just a play set and the only draw is the minifigures that come with it. I'm not all that impressed with the set itself, but the minifigures are excellent. It's tempting, but I'll gladly avoid this set. Not a fan of play sets. Shuttle Tydirium is the jewel of 2015 for me so far...and all because of what I think it'll be like. There is an interior...which I'm hoping can fit a bunch of figures (3-4 for sure fit inside). The wings look amazing, the build seems to emulate that from Palpatine's Shuttle from EP III, along with the new T-16, both which were super fun to build and look great once built. Can't wait for this set! Imperial Assault Carrier looks ok to me, I won't be getting it because nothing draws me to it. The figures are nice, I just don't like the ship design, which is not lego's fault at all. The TIE UCS is not worth it for me. Too expensive, too few pieces, doesn't look that good in my eyes.
  4. ...but the point is that there is/was a source, it might not be correct, as with many other rumours we've been discussing (Hoth Echo Base UCS anyone?). That is a rumour. I based everything off of what I've read here on the thread.
  5. Oh I fully agree with you about people talking about their future wish lists, etc. But...haven't these sets been rumoured earlier in this thread? I got the ideas through that list which had prices, number of pieces, and, not specifically set names, but the descriptions, i.e. 'villain spacecraft' or whatever. Those are rumoured sets, us discussing these sets would be discussing the rumours. I do not believe that it is a spoiler to discuss a character's ship, as, again, it doesn't reveal the story, themes, or events of the movie. It is literally a character with a vehicle. Plus, the trailer will be out soon. If people are that keen on avoiding all spoilers, as Renegade Clone stated, you would have to lock yourslef in a nuclear bunker for the next 9 months.
  6. I agree with you guys. Spoilers are unavoidable if sets for said movie are supposed to be discussed in this forum. The sets on my list were all taken from rumours...which is what we're supposed to be discussing in this thread. Also, once photos begin appearing of the sets...perhaps in August, what is the point of a thread where everything is 'spoiler', 'spoiler', 'spoiler'?
  7. Ooooooh that spoiler thing just mentioned, that sounds super cool! Alright, I can understand that. I wouldn't discuss anything about the movie, I was talking purely about sets themselves.
  8. I agree with Darth Punk. Star Wars sets 2015 is what this forum is about. The only sets remaining to be guessed about in 2015 are the TFA sets. If people want to completely avoid spoilers about the movie, that's problematic because the sets will be unveiled in September regardless, which will then be a main topic of discussion in this thread, which, inevitably, will lead to spoilers. I personally don't think lego sets spoil too much about the concepts/themes of the movie...but again, that's my opinion. Also my ideas were completely random guesses, they may not even be true.
  9. Ok I'm gonna try to guess the contents of te TFA sets. Fun exercise. This is all coming from information previously talked about on this forum. Rey's Speeder So likely we'd see her big speeder thing...maybe some extra droid or what not. Figures included would be: Rey, ball droid, blue alien..maybe Finn...it's possible that Finn might be the 'Jack Sparrow' of the theme. Imperial Transport So possibly looking like the shuttles we see in Rebels, or the Imperial drop ship, would include a bunch of stormtroopers, maybe stormtrooper leader of some sort..possibly Finn in a stormie outfit. TIE Fighter Possible new design for the craft, includes TIE fighter pilot, TIE ace pilot, droid, stormie, maybe Finn in stormie outfit X-Wing Fighter I'm guessing this would be the new blue version, featuring Oscar Isaac's revel character, astromech droid, maybe Leia. TIE Shuttle So I'd hope this is based off of the concept art, the red TIE thing. It could likely include Gwendoline Christie's imperial character, royal guards x2, a stormie, maybe a pilot. That would be awesome. Kylo Ren's Cruiser OR Fallen AT-AT??? I'm actually gonna say fallen AT-AT for this one. Von Sydow character appears, Finn, Rey, N'yongo's character, Luke Skywalker. And lastly, the MF with chewie, Finn, Han, Rey, R2, 3PO.
  10. Hi all, a set decision here. I'm looking to expand my Rebels Collection, currently I've got the Phantom and the ITT battle pack. I'm either looking to get the Tie Prototype and the AT-DP together or the Ghost and Ezra's Speeder Bike together so I'm looking for advice as to which sets I should get. I would honestly suggest TIE and AT-DP, well worth the price, excellent minifigures, even better, more fascinating builds.
  11. Ah cool. So it's possible at least that Tyderium pops up in LEGO stores mid-June. What I meant with the TFA sets was that, yes they will come out September, but we could get previews in April or May...or not...I hope we do. I'm pretty sure though that they'll unveil the summer sets with Tyderium/imperial assault carrier. Thanks for the answer! I can now wait till mid-June to get my hands on that shuttle. I would get the Naboo Starfighter, had they released it as just a ship..I totally understand the concept behind the set itself...but personally don't like it. The fighter looks great though and has that new firing mechanism installed! Flash Speeder seems pretty good too. Not looking forward to Death Star Duel...mainly because the set is made by the minifigures. I meant they'll unveil Tyderium summer sets in April or May
  12. No, I know that they would not be released in April. I'm asking whether they might be released in early June/late May. In April, I'm saying we would get official pics...you know on that white background.
  13. Question: I haven't particularly paid attention to this in the past, but, let's say June 27th is the release date for the summer sets in North America. Is there any chance that LEGO stores would have the sets out a month earlier/few weeks earlier than the release date? Otherwise...I'm inclined to believe that LEGO will reveal the June sets fully around April, as was mentioned by another member, due to Star Wars celebration happening April 16th and probable new trailer being released by Disney for TFA. I'm gonna say they release the sets early June...if it was late June, why not just say July? It would make more sense that way. I'll say June 14th or something. I dunno.
  14. Come on, Lego! Release the summer sets in early June!!
  15. Awww I hope not June 27th....that's so far away!
  16. ^ I 100% agree. That is also why we're getting a Flash Speeder this year. I think that in the last two years, they've been releasing sets that will likely not make an appearance for a long time. This is why Episode 1 sets are being rehashed, if you go back to 2013 with episode II, last year with all the episode III stuff. We haven't gotten a T-16 or a Flash Speeder for almost a decade, yet right before the movies are to be released, LEGO makes these sets 'inexplicably' as some people have for some odd reason wondered. Look at the 2013 Republic Gunship. It's almost exactly like the one from 2002, but way more improved. 2002 one came with a Jedi Knight, two clones, two super battle droids. This one came with two clones (pilot, captain), two jedi knights, Padmé, and, once again, two super battle droids. People are wondering why episode I is being rehashed this year, same reason. This is likely the last time we will see any prequel sets and considering it is Episode I that started it all (yes, it did), it is fitting that they begin the new movie era by finishing off the older era with the line they originally intended to begin with. The Naboo Starfighter comes with battle droids, and hangar items. The old one form '99 also came with a hangar item from the Trade Federation, along with two battle droids. It's not at all surprising that we're getting all these rehashes. Tydirium is also a last chance to remake the original Imperial Shuttle, which was also a rare set throughout the line. We get that one, the one from Imperial Inspection, a UCS version, and possibly the best system version this year.
  17. Why is everyone talking about some possible future UCS Millennium Falcon sets? The only set being released this year will be a Millennium Falcon which should cost around $179.99 CDN (I don't remember the US price). It's going to be a massive set as it is, so why does it matter if a UCS will or will not be released? I could care less for speculation about a future UCS Falcon....as the wise Qui-Gon once said: "Keep your concentration here and now, where it belongs." So far, we don't know what on earth the TFA sets are or will look like. I'm going to speculate that perhaps with the release of the TFA trailer (which I believe will come out around May), we will get the official announcements for the June summer sets and possibly teasers of the TFA sets. If the trailer reveals a couple of the new ships, I would be forced to believe LEGO will be more eager to release photos or images of these sets, because at least they won't spoil too much about episode VII. I'm looking forward to buying Tydirium, along with the T-16 in the summer. Also will be looking forward to seeing more on that Sith Infiltrator...though it is highly doubtful I actually buy it. Will be interesting to see though.
  18. Yeah I couldn't possibly understand why one would feel robbed...I mean...I get the feeling that you buy something once, then another cooler version comes out and you feel that 'aw maaan' feeling come over you...but that's to be expected..this is a toy company, their focus is on children, not adults. The fact that adults love it too is just an extra benefit for them. I've missed out on TONS of Star Wars sets and this is why I love that lego releases rehashes of those sets. They look even cooler than before, and I can have the satisfaction of buying it and owning it at last. I guess I feel a little frustrated at myself for purchasing the slave 1 of 2010 when the gorgeous ship that came out for UCS came out this year...but I don't in any way regret having the original from 2010...lol if anything, this saves me some money. And yeah, I wonder when we would be seeing TFA pics....I'm hoping we get to see some of them when the trailer comes out...but that's just hoping
  19. I would love to see LEGO release another Cloud Car, AT-ST, TIE Bomber, or Vader's TIE Advanced with the newer helmet
  20. Also, I suppose this is all personal preference, but I don't understand the complaints a lot of people have with sets that are redesigned. I for one welcome redesigns...they give us a chance to see what's new with the iconic ships, how lego has tried to improve sets and make them a little more movie accurate. The last sith infiltrator had a serious design flaw in that the ship couldn't be flown upside down..I find it exciting that the ship has been redesigned and these issues have been possibly corrected. The new Naboo Starfighter was redone so that the ship could have a new firing mechanism installed...although not much else was really redesigned, other than the destroyer droids, fighter accessories. The Flash Speeder looks amazing and I definitely like that new battle droid carrier. I think it's great that we get redesigns.
  21. Actually, Darth Maul looks updated. It looks like he has a new head mould, similar to the Tusken Raider in theT-16 Skyhopper set. I'm very curious to see the Infiltrator when in comes out.
