  1. Race tactics now added to entry post. Pit crew standing by:-
  2. New batteries installed, pit crew ready and ready to stomp. Best of luck to everyone racing. Doug72
  3. Jim, there are two entries by different competitors which have the same nummber, I.e. 15. Doug
  4. To eliminate sag you need to shallow "king truss" along top of the engine block.
  5. For a really tight steering radius you need a tricycle wheel arrangement, similar to my entry. .A previous MOC I built of an old mobile crane had a turn radius equal to its length.
  6. Thanks for the explanation.
  7. What do the various colour 16t gears that precede some topic titles mean ?
  8. Looks 3D printed to me as the surface texture is grainy.
  9. Leonard, looks good. re your entry topic, you need embed your video so that an image is can be seen. I,ve had trouble with videos not embedding I found if open the video on my computer and then copy the URL shown in address bar and paste that into entry topic etc. Should then self embed. Doug
  10. What parts are the red wheel covers and corrugated cyclinders, never seen them before ?
  11. I had to google that ! Unintentional but I did think about putting eyes on the cone ends but couldn't come up with a legal Lego solution to attach them and also keep cones attached to the drive axles.. You could say the cones “hip no ti eyes”
  12. I found making the video harder than building my entry !
  13. “Better late than ever”
  14. Have replicated your idea and whilst it does reduced slackness, it introduces increased resistance & friction to the axle rotation by forcing the gear teeth together. OK for slow rotation speeds but not for fast speeds.
  15. Thanks, no problem for me I just switch my hearing aids off !
  16. The yellow cone with black strips behind the drivers left sholuder could house a fusion reactor pile to achieve to achieve ludicrus speeds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Looks great. Should be entered to Lego Ideas. Very interesting steering system.
  18. FULL SPEED AHEAD Gearing changes made and daisy cutter now same speed as rotating drills.
  19. Missed that, thanks for pointing it out. Your are right, the gears to the daisy cutter should 20/12 not 12/12 as shown, easy to fix. Had tried to add a nose so it looks more like a face, still working on that.
  20. Thanks for your input. Fixed and a solution found, Daisy Cutter runs at full speed same as the two rotating cones. Will remake part 1 for my entry video tomorrow.
  21. I agree but it was very hard to squeeze in a right angle drive and had to use the new 1M worm, which resulted in a 20/1 reduction. Luckilly the section with the two rotating cones and daisy cutter can be unplugged from main body of the machine. I had thoughts of different weapons that could be interchanged. I,ve just had a quick look and think I may have a solution. Means re-shooting 1st. part of the entry video.
