To eliminate sag you need to shallow "king truss" along top of the engine block. -
[TC12] The Mean Machine

For a really tight steering radius you need a tricycle wheel arrangement, similar to my entry. .A previous MOC I built of an old mobile crane had a turn radius equal to its length. -

Leonard, looks good. re your entry topic, you need embed your video so that an image is can be seen. I,ve had trouble with videos not embedding I found if open the video on my computer and then copy the URL shown in address bar and paste that into entry topic etc. Should then self embed. Doug -

[TIP] Slackless gear meshing
doug72 replied to Didumos69's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Have replicated your idea and whilst it does reduced slackness, it introduces increased resistance & friction to the axle rotation by forcing the gear teeth together. OK for slow rotation speeds but not for fast speeds. -

I agree but it was very hard to squeeze in a right angle drive and had to use the new 1M worm, which resulted in a 20/1 reduction. Luckilly the section with the two rotating cones and daisy cutter can be unplugged from main body of the machine. I had thoughts of different weapons that could be interchanged. I,ve just had a quick look and think I may have a solution. Means re-shooting 1st. part of the entry video.
