You're probably right. It isn't ideal, but space occupied by the vault, I think, is better used for the lobby.

Scooby Doo Mafia: All Fired Up - Day 3
mediumsnowman replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That's certainly a possibility. The connection between Bob being the only one suspicious of Lynn, then Bob turning up dead, was what originally triggered my suspicions. I was then compelled to review Lynn's posts, and what I found was rather... disturbing. Is that the right word? I don't even know anymore. -
I think I will be getting 2 and modding it. I'll expand the bank to 32x32 and make the laundromat its own 16x16. For the bank, here is what I'm thinking: -Push the bank back to envelop the laundromat, so it'll be symmetrical on both street facing sides. -Have 2 skylights on the roof, second one where laundromat room stuff is. -Move the vault to where the directors office is right now. -Replace the assistants desk with the directors. -Double the length of the teller windows and push them back, to the space currently occupied by the laundromat/vault. -Add couchs and chairs in the lobby, maybe some potted plants as well. What do you think? Anyone else planning similar mods?

Scooby Doo Mafia: All Fired Up - Day 3
mediumsnowman replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hey, finally got a chance to check in! I was sure Carla was going to flip scum. Reading Patti's analysis, I really have no idea why our dear departed Alec was targeted. He was so young... Everyone except Lynn has been online and posted in this thread, so it's unlikely our cop found a scummo last night. Or else they would have claimed and reported it. More on Lynn in a second. I'm inclined to believe Patty is town, just trying to get the ball rolling on what was effectively Day 1. But hey, I've been wrong before. So... Back to Lynn Benton. As Mr. Dunn mentioned, she has been flying under the radar. I looked back through the previous 2 days and found he has posted 5 times. He mentions the strongman discussion, but doesn't take a stand on it and leaves his statement rather open ended. Later on he brings up the possibility of a vigilante. To me, this is ridiculous. A vig in a game this small would inflate the death rate catastrophically. This is an odd thing to mention, and may have just been to stir up some confusion. His PR voting isn't overly suspicious. Lynn seems to be flip flopping a lot on the possible PR's. He has mentioned voting for the Cop, Tracker, Doctor, Watcher, and Blocker. All of them, actually. To me, it seems he is unwilling to commit to one path. These three posts are the extent of his contributions to Day 1. On Day 2 he misses the first part of the day, though as he says RL stuff got in the way. He seems to repeat stuff said by others during the day, finally settling on voting for the now confirmed townie Carla. Here is his final contribution to Day 2: The timing being off is of reasonable note. I had mentioned that I had been gone, though, so truthfully, I was going through the day and replying to what I saw was worth replying to. There's nothing more to it. Confirmed townie Bob raises some good points about Lynn. Her reply doesn't seem to adequately address the points mentioned. At this point, Bob was the only one to raise suspicions about Lynn. Could Benton wish to silence him before he could build a better case tomorrow? I'd be willing to vote for Lynn Benton today. Non-commital, flip-flopping, flying under the radar, low posting Lynn Benton. -
I have exactly one of each, starting with Fire Brigade. (I missed out on Green Grocer, Cafe Corner, and Market Street ) I have toyed with the idea of getting a second DO but I bought the Helicarrier instead. I may get 2 Brick Banks when they come out. I want to expand the bank to 48x32 and make the laundromat its own 16x32.

That seems like a plausible explanation, though it doesn't explain why the heck this is being released as an Ideas set. -

Am I the only one who finds it amusing that the pavement slime is listed as a selling point, when it's literally just a few trans-pink studs built into the sidewalk? -

Interesting, this link has it listed as under the Ideas line. Didn't the project get rejected? -
Not violent enough to make the voting round?

Location: H04 - Crofter's Ridge Tags: Log of Jebediah O'Reilly, Entry #025: After last week's debacle Dr. Long ran a ton of tests on Nate and I before she let us go anywhere. Something about being worried about "a zombie outbreak" aboard the Axle. Dr. Long: "This won't hurt. Much. Actually this is going to hurt a lot. Please, hold still. Once she finally let us out of her custody I was sent to Crofter's Ridge, something about a contingency plan for "Project Icarus" Some legend about a Greek kid who flew too close to the sun and died... scary stuff! One day I was summoned to Dr. Longs office. Apparently it was "urgent" and "to come at once" I wonder what's up this time? End Log of Jebediah O'Reilly, Entry #025 Dr. Long: "Odus, take this down to the front office. I swear, this is 420,248th time I've cited Pombe's dress code violations!" Odus Dillberg: "Of course, Danielle. Whatever you say." Dr. Long: "Good. Now get out of here." *knock* *knock* Dr. Long: "Come in. Shut the door behind you please." Jebediah O' Reilly: "Hey, long time no see? Ha ha, I crack myself up." Dr. Long: "That's Bobs joke." Jebediah O' Reilly: "What do you need?" Dr. Long: "I'll keep things brief. Last week I discovered we had recovered a time travel device from the facility. This is Project Icarus. Advanced testing began this week..." Jebediah O' Reilly: "Something went wrong, didn't it?" Dr. Long: "Stop interrupting. *sigh* Yes, something went wrong. An employee named Blenjamin Blandin was... er... accidently sent into the past." Jebediah O' Reilly: "What?!" Dr. Long: "Yes. You trained my troopers, you cooperated with the Gauntlet... right now you're the only one I can trust with this information. I fear what would happen if this device fell into the wrong hands... Let's just say... Well, you know, President Business has already been targeted for 9 separate ethics-based assassinations. I need you to follow Blendin into the past." Jebediah O' Reilly: "And retrieve him?" Dr. Long: "Or kill him. Whichever is easier. He mustn't be allowed to interfere with the timeline!" Jebediah O' Reilly: "I understand." Dr. Long: "You have 24 hours to prepare. Meet me in Testing Room 12A and we will begin the procedure." Dr. Long: "Oh, and one more thing... failure is not an option." Jebediah O' Reilly: "I don't fail." <<<TO BE CONTINUED!>>>

Scooby Doo Mafia: All Fired Up - Day 2
mediumsnowman replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I didn't think it had much substance to it so I just blew it off. In Blacktron Mafia, I got some heat for getting really defensive anytime someone even brought up my name. Unless someone actually makes a good case against me and there's an actual chance I could be lynched, I'm trying not to let it get to me. -

Yeah, you don't want to get stuck with a penalty. -
Hey, get out of here, that's our water! Neat build, the SNOT work is very clean. The various drums and plants contribute to make a great scene. My only critique would be that the brown seems a little out of place, maybe a brickbuilt barrel solution on the speeder could work better?

Well, that's certainly an interesting spaceship you've got there. I fear what visuals you may conjure up for next week's build...

Haha, another great build and story! Somehow I knew Pombie would be back somehow! NPU on the dragon tails as tree trunks.

Awesome vehicles! I'd love to see an overview shot of the whole hanger.

You should be able to bold, I'm on a phone and it works fine. Just type text here[/ b] (but without the space) See? Well I messed something up. Never mind. -
Thanks! As for the violence, I was aiming for a more psychological horror as the helpless soldier sinks into the depths of the freezing ocean... Though I suppose that wasn't the aim of the contest.
