Uh oh. You have the same thread title as this thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=46473 Very cool MOC though.

You don't need the internet to run LDD. Well except for their advertisement panel and checking for errors/buyability.

I saw this and had to post. My screenname is "Zeya". I originally picked that name for my character in a computer game called Guild Wars. He was a dark-skinned monk and looked kind of Indian, so I went through a list of Indian names. I chose a name that started with 'Z' so I would appear at the end of the party list in the game, which is nice because I would always be watching health bars and healing other players in the party. Now I just use the name all over the place.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion

I'm pretty sure I read in their story that they had a 25% off coupon, and so got all their boxes they bought at 25% off. If they turn around and sell, that will be a nice profit margin, albeit a lot of work. -
Yeah, wow. He's got 3-digit set numbers in there.

I was curious and did a search, and it looks like the 2010 sets got leaked in December of 2009 (link). And it looks like most of the 2010 reviews were done in late May, so I assume that's when they started hitting the shelves. I guess that's what is referred to as the "summer wave", yes? I think someone mentioned that we may not see preliminary or leaked info on any Kingdoms sets until after the new year. But if it goes like last year, maybe we will see some leaked images or vendor catalog information next month or in January? Conjecture!

"It's me or the bricks, Johnny! Who do you love more!?" That is quite a collection. I guess he doesn't have the time or will to part out things by theme. He probably just wants to get rid of everything all at once. I don't think I could handle my collection getting that big. Maybe if I'm retired and I have a spare house to fill up, lol.

I just took a look at a photo of the completed set. I think I have my top roof plates one stud too high and it just needs some adjusting.
-
In the review he notes "Attaching the roof caused me some problems." I have problems too. I just finished building yesterday. the last step has you putting two roof pieces on. It was hard enough getting one of the sides in just the right place to snap into the one or two studs available and still have it come to an apex. But attaching the other side, it's barely holding on and you can see a gap. The two pieces are sort of overlapping each other at the peak. It seemed like hasty design to me and was kind of disappointing. Another problem caused is that the light brick needs to have its button pressed against the roof to stay on. I can't get it angled just right so that it stays on, without causing the overlapping roof piece to fall off. This renders the light brick useless. Has anyone else had this problem?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion

Babelfish translation: A serial with 16 entirely new mini characters. Each figurine sits in an untransparent small pocket, therefore you cannot see immediately which mini figurine gets you. And every character has own accessories, standard and forager notebook be. The collectie has been inspired on films, sport, history and living everyday, and contains: The monster, Surfmeisje, sailor, kimono little girl, punk, Viking, skater, hockey player, Skateboarder, man in security package, musketeer, wolf, artist, crazy professor, footballer and garden gnome. As from 5 years. -
Ohh of course. Thanks.

Some observations: - Looks like a lot of stickers. Or are they printed pieces? - Every set has a cool vehicle except the one impulse set - Modern assault rifles? Wow. - Female minifig is always notable. - What is the giant snake's head made out of? - Pyramid set is huge, but it does have a big specialized baseplate Pharaoh's Quest is looking pretty cool!
-
Underneath those ninja costumes, they're just monster truck-loving fools.

I cross-linked that photo of the little knight/dragon/castle set to the 2011 Kingdoms Thread, in case anyone wants to follow that discussion too. It's interesting to see a bit of crossover between Creator and other themes.
-
Darth Jar Jar posted some 2011 Creator photos in another thread. I spotted a little set with a tiny castle facade, dragon, and a minifigure. It's at the bottom of this photo. It's not really Kingdoms per se, but still interesting!

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread

Tron release date is December 17th. So maybe about a month until we see some set photos. The release of "On Stranger Tides" is May 20th. -
Oh cool! I have the creator beach house and really like it. The cabin looks like it has fewer parts, but it has a minifigure with a canoe. And that baseplate has a printing on it!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion

I personally think 2 waves per year is enough. Does anyone know if Lego plans to release 3 or 4 waves a year? guess s1 and s2 were 3 months apart, right? That would be about 4 series per year... *grumble* -
Oh I see. Thanks!

I had to go with the fisherman for my vote, because of the awesome accessory, and the beard doesn't hurt either. My second choice is the indian because of his detail; he would go well with the series 1 indian. After that, I like the elf, explorer, and snowboarder. Looks like that elf is going to be "the new spartan"...

I didn't understand that joke. Can you explain it? It sounded like he was saying "wheat-er", and I didn't understand what he was really trying to say. What does "wicter" mean?
-
I'm sure they will. Also, you'll get to keep the defective pink ones, and you can build up your girl-power pink knight army.

I went by the seasonal section in my Target last night. I saw two things whose tags read "Lego". One was the Police boat in a polybag. The other didn't have any product on the shelf, but I strongly suspect it is where they place the collectible minifigures (moments before someone swoops in and buys the entire stock, apparently, because the things are never actually there). This was on a shelf along the wall, right next to a bunch of other "Christmas crap" like cheap ornaments, stockings, lights, just an assortment of Christmas stuff. Again, this was in the seasonal area in the back corner of the store and NOT in the Lego aisle. I personally wish they would put it all in the Lego aisle.

[KEY TOPIC] Official LEGO Sets made in LDD
Zeya replied to Calabar's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
6071 - Forestmen's Crossing Download LXF File Here Errors: - The baseplate for this set is unique and found in no other set or in LDD. I took the liberty of placing 1x1 blue and yellow bricks to try and re-create the pattern on the actual baseplate. - The bridge from the tree to the building should be one molded piece. It is not found in LDD, so I recreated it using various brown bricks. The original bridge piece would look much nicer - Minifigures have a few issues. None of the printed tops exist in LDD, nor do any of the faces. The hat piece I used is a placeholder; they do not fit the feathers, so I left them on the side. - The shield attached to the building should have a printing of a wolf crest on it, but that doesn't exist in LDD. A plain brown shield is used instead.- 5,046 replies
