These are really wonderful and look quite professional. You've captured the essence of the minifig line really well (good ratio of common/uncommon characters balance etc.). The galactic traveler is probably the one I'm least keen on because, although I like the idea, I don't think there's much to make him stand out from the other astronauts in the line. Even with his neat helmet. I'd probably give him some different accessories, like a star map, in lieu of the gun. I hope you share more!

Maybe this thread should be renamed something like "Best of the most unlikely to be realized Ideas" to make the intention nicer. I think this thread and participation is partially born out of the frustration that the Ideas website is completely overwhelmed with creations, all representing various levels of skills and potential to succeed. You can say it is up to us to filter out the best sets from the not-so-good, but it's feels futile because you might have to go through hundreds or even thousands of creations to find the sets that actually worthy of being made into a set. Add to that, the winning sets need rely popularity or luck in being featured to succeed, I'm sure there are plenty of great creations lots in the pool. The large number of troll creations don't help either, although they have a right to be there along with the well intention creations. It definitely would be inappropriate to shame unskilled builders, but I think laughing at troll creations is probably the intention of the troll submissions. I agree it's better to err on the side of being kinder though.

Great work on the banner and incorporating newer figs! I always love seeing the switch of the forum season banners and what you come up with. It was all so sweet until I [cntl]+[minused] to see the entire banner and noticed the rancor devouring innocent little spring creatures. Haha -
Ironically this thread is helping increase of the votes of some of these obscure creations.

Hello fellow Kanadian!

I'm really enjoying this one, and its description: "Earth in a dark future, Lego has been banned. Children can´t play with it. Worst, their parents can´t play with it. Builders are persecuted, plastic geometrical shapes are a crime. Only one being keep standing... A strange passenger from a forgotten past. He is... He is... Thanks Lord!!... He is the Last Brick on Earth."

Quoted. SIgnaturized. OMG. I thought the following was from the tumbler page, not actual Ideas page. Comedy gold. I should give Lego Ideas another chance to find such gems. ”I used to have a goldfish. His name was Fishy. In order to make room for four other fish, we had to flush him alive. I miss you Fishy, you will always swim into my heart. Anyone have or used to have a fish? Or are you just interested in Aquatic life? Doesn’t matter, either way you will support.“

Ewww. Haha. Nicely scaled for human hands. The face is perfect, and the elongated hair and curve at the end are really well done - making it an excellent prop.

Exactly. From the click bait title to the hyperbolic claims which are so obviously wrong (ie building sets have been around since the start of Lego building bricks), it's pretty obvious that it's for attention. Ironically, not a very creative way to argue a point. Yup. Well stated.

I don't think there's more than before. I feel like maybe there was less a year ago, but then again I spend more time on the forums now than a year or two ago . Spam threads come in waves and will happen at all hours of the day, but will be most apparent late night. Mods are quick at deleting spam, but even they need to sleep sometime. Spammers just need a few people out of possible thousands to click to make the effort to spam worthwhile. Regarding the foreign language, I'm betting spammers make a minuscule amount of money based on quantity of spam they churn out, regardless of whether it's tailored (and readable) for the target. There are people who do click the links unfortunately. People who are either 'new to the internet' or fairly computer illiterate. Sometimes they genuinely believe what the spammers are saying, other times out of curiosity even if they know it's spam. My mother falls into the latter category and will click on ridiculous things like "Meet your future asian bride dating site" because she thinks it's funny and wants to understand why people will fall for those kinds of things. Things like malware threats just don't compute when I try to explain why not click scammy sounding links. *Sigh*.

This tread is timely. Two days ago I built a couple of sets and once I was done I threw out the garbage such bags, empty sticker sheets, and excess mould pieces (like the middle of blossom pieces and pearl gold keys). Unfortunately I threw out a really tiny gold crown that I thought was junk mould. I confess I went through the trash can looking for that dang thing yesterday. I also have to confess that I did not find it.

I have used my username on various sites for over ten years now. I like the simplicity and absence of numbers. I personally would never use my full real name, because I try to keep my identity fairly private or tied to work/research projects. I can see the advantage for someone to use their real name if they either want to be known for their hobby, or they are making LEGO creations professionally. I think a real name can be more memorable than a generic name like 'BrickBuilder123'. For what it's worth, I think you have a decent username and I don't associate it with Nexo Knights, which will run it's course and not many will remember what minifig General Magmar was.

Medium azure is probably my favourite. It's my happy colour.
