General Part Discussion
Jurss replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
With smaller wheel it is better to use those small hubs, where just axle fits, as that hub makes really bad steering.- 5,509 replies

Axle Collection Thread
Jurss replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'm littlebit worried about those crankshaft parts, how well they will hold the load on those halfstud connections to that 4L axle. -
I wanted to put there some functions. Make it really more like small 42054. Anyway, to switch steering modes, I need to lift that liftarm, and then I need clearence for one stud. And that is already over top of the wheels. OK, if the cabin would be fixed, then I could hide it under the cabin, form sides it would look OK, but I don't like that idea. At least, for now. I will try to find another idea. I have one (some central steering axle, which slides back and forward, and then have 2L liftarms, which engages with steering mechanisms), but still have some questions, how to make it usable - how to fix positions. @nico71 approach is not OK for this, as that switching mechanisms is pretty large, it also makes rotating cabin impossible. Interesting, what kind of mechanism are You planning?

Made some steering system. It is pretty OK, but in need it lower. I can't add cabin now with its rotating mechanism. And cabin starts at the level of top of wheels. I need different solution.

[TC19] - Hybrid (2WD)
Jurss replied to nikolyakov's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That fron forkhas good enginering, I like how You solved that thing, where tu put chain, not to make that fron fork too wide. I just don't really get, how those gears on top are really connected. -

[MOC] Heavy Duty Skid-steer Loader
Jurss replied to JLiu15's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice loader. Desing is simple and clean. That count of motors used is something. Most probably whole main frame is made from motors. It would be interesting to see some belly picture, or something from internals. In terms of lego, it may be heavy duty, but as such, it is more like large scale model. I remember, that I built something similar some time ago, and I realised, that it was my first ever topic here -
latest lego quality standards

I've never had missing part in sets (40 technic sets, 4 creator expert, 88 system sets for kids), very few broken parts, mostly by my fault I may say. Until this siān I didn't had any complains about lego. I need to check again, I didn't took photos when building, also instructions for siān was with some issues. There where step where I add one part, I think one 3L pin, but it was missing from further steps, but it was needed there. In another step there were some parts in front of others, where in previous and next steps they were in correct places. Box with instructions are now in the attic. They were really in hurry with that siān, and when someone is in hurry, then quality decreases. In this is good example. It is just bad, that they don't recognize that. Yes, that was the first "signal". But that was not so critical for me, as difference was not so noticeable, and those were just few connectors. -

Jurss replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes, they offered to me to send some few connectors, even at the same time whole car is like from some perekup and car went trough Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine "workshops" before and then landed in Russia (most of those natilaity reprasentatives ar nice people). You know what that could mean for real car. -
As I'm really dissapointed, I will post this here. According to latest lego quality standards, all these colors are the same. except these type of connctors decpite, that is visible, that some panels are in the same color, as that connector, f.i. that 2L part on hedrest on right side. This is official answer Maybe I need to burn it on city centra square, as some real car owners had done with poor quality cars?

interesting tire combination -
Most interesting was, that I yeterday created this topic, then wen't to Youtube to check what's there new. And I see this video, I thought, that Youtube started to read my mind, but it was just new video. Not the tires, but distance between them. For that scetch it was one stud too wide, now with that axle it is already OK.
