LEGO Elves 2017 Discussion

The new sets look pretty cool. I'm digging the design of the goblins, but the goblin dragon looks to innocent to be evil. More horns, please! The highlight of the wave for me is the village. It looks like something straight out of Fantasy Era, and that's great. Any word on the price of that set? I'm hoping it's not more than $50. -
I know part two has come out, but I just wanted to point out that he doesn't have to do what he's doing right now and he's taking a risk for our sake. He's also not doing it for clicks because the site he's posting the leaks on doesn't even have a view counter.

Lots and lots of rehashes in the Police line. Starter set looks exactly like the one from 2011, from the ATM to the ATV. The little quad set is very basic to say the least. The Helicopter Chase and Bank Robbery are again almost exact replicas of their 2011 counterparts, except this time the Bank comes with some sort of snowplow or something. The Police Station, at least, is very interesting. It's probably the strangest looking City building ever in terms of layout. Too bad it looks like there are only five figures for what will surely be a $100 set. The Pizza Van looks pretty good, it's yellow and red and built like a food truck. Overall, not feeling this wave.

Gah. A Travel Agency would be useless to me. Hope it's not that. -

@Robert8 I disagree. 70347 seems like an educated guess of what the set would look like had it been called Soldier's Bike. I don't know if you have seen the picture yet but it isn't a bike at all. Whatever is going on in the description of 70348 is wrong, too. I don't see how anyone could describe it like that. 70349 has literally no info. 70351 is also wrong. Clay's Jet looks nothing like the Storm Fighter other than the colors, and there are three villains, not one, and no villain vehicle. 70352 seems like another educated guess, as anything in the NK line could be described as "Techy". Most $100 vehicles have an opposing vehicle of some sort and if these other descriptions are an indication than this is another guess. "Jestro was the same minifigure from this year's sets, but he says jestro will look different." makes no sense whatsoever. -

Nice update. I like the feet, they're very mechinanical looking. What piece did you use for the sword? -
Looks fun! Hopefully the poor lad recovers soon

Does anyone else feel like Lego will refer to these guys as Lightning Monsters or something? I knew from the second I heard it that rock wouldn't make sense right after lava, and between the color scheme and the electric glow around each figure..... -
Ah, thanks. Looks like you have to choose an option for the middle setting though.

I guess that's true but I was just trying to figure out where my posts went. You quoting me actually just made a noise on my computer. Also, according to my profile I'm still a fetus. Surprising.

Agreed, I feel like my S12 Wizard makes getting Merlok 1.0 unnecessary.

Sorry, I don't like this upgrade at all. Everything is much too flashy and hi-tech. The old forums had a much better look. I think the main problem is that most of the backgrounds are currently white. Also, most of my PMs were deleted by the looks of it. The poster info has the username is some ghastly font, as well as randomly including the member title twice. @Robert8 The tags are pretty fun, I'll give it that. They're also pretty useful. Edit: How on Earth did my post count go from 2084 to 1999?

Why do torso neck pins have a printed rectangle?
BrickJagger replied to TheBear's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Not really sure why, but it does serve as a handy indicator as to where it was made. Side note: Lego really needs to fix their Chinese factories. The quality is beyond awful. -
The mosaic is beautiful. Nice!

Welcome back to the hobby, Ted! Lego is indeed very good with stress relief.

So long as you keep the beard on you won't be able to see it at all, so there's that.

Jangbricks is the best reviewer out there by a longshot, in my opinion. From his setup to his commentary, everything is perfect. Brickshow used to be great. All of the random skits they had in there videos were pretty funny, but nowadays they just seem cardboard and everything sounds forced. It's safe to say they're falling off. Hopefully they get it together.

Wow, the Triple-Rocker is amazing. Looks like a beefed-up version of the Lava Smasher, except this time with a bonus figure. I'm sort of wondering why no one is actually in the cockpit though.
