  1. Yup it is a bench thingie with a fire undernearth it. You roast the apple over it
  2. Not custom made, LEGO sells it ($15). http://shop.lego.com/en-CA/LEGO-Elves-Playmat-851341?fromListing=listing
  3. My Elves collection is finished!
  4. Yup what Aanchir said, it is double sided! Here are some better pics with the Creative Workshop added on both sides.
  5. I am still finishing up a small set (Aira's Creative Workshop) but here is all the other elves sets on top of the playmat. I will get a better pic later today once all the sets are done
  6. It is this item here: http://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Elves-Playmat-851341?_requestid=342698
  7. My Elves playmat arrived today! Going to finish building the Treetop set and then put all my elves set there. Will get some pics tomorrow. So excited!
  8. Doesn't fly off for me either. It just dislodge the top piece and I think that is suppose to meant it is flying off. Technically you could grab a hammer and smash that front piece and make the top go fly but you are damaging the bricks
  9. It does come in red but it seems it is limited to 2 Galaxy Squad sets so might get expensive. http://brickset.com/...ng-part-6039229 The transparent stick is part of set, it is suppose to make the Scarlet Witch float above the Hulk Also unless I am mistaken that is not a MOC, it is the Hulk Buster Suit.
  10. Just finished up the Hulk Buster Smash set. Have to say i really enjoyed the Hulk Buster Suit. The rest of it was kind of meh though. Review for those interested: http://brickpreviews.com/lego-super-heroes-76031-the-hulk-buster-smash-review/
  11. Anyone know why Hydra Fortress Smash set didn't have a comic book and wasn't part of the comic book in other sets?
  12. Finished up the Porsche GT Finish Line set, the 2nd most expensive set. Debating if I should get the LaFerrari Truck. Seems like 2x the price for not that much more. I really like this set since it has everything you need for a race - 2 cars, finish/start line, podium, and minigarage. Only thing I hated was how identical the two cars were but I guess that is what rest of the speed champion sets are for. 13. All you have to do is sign up for VIP, can be done in the same purchase. Signing up for VIP on the LEGO store website is pretty easy. There is a button on the top right corner of the website that says Are you a VIP member, just click sign up.
  14. I still have a few more sets to build before I want to show it. Right now it looks really random with a bunch of different themes mixed in but I think once I finish some of the themes and do some reorganization it will look better :D
  15. Awesome collections everyone, keep them coming!
  16. I had some issues lining up the stickers but most were okay. You have to do a bit of mental image and try figure out where to place the sticker. The only annoying set was the Italia GT2 since it had just too many stickers compared to the other cars. The real stickers I hate are the transparent ones from the Marvel sets. They are a huge trap for fingerprint and air pockets. So annoying!
  17. I am planning to get a written review of the Quinjet set up in the next few days. I do all pictorial reviews on my site but I am a bit new to LEGO so my reviews may not be as great. Anyways just finished my review of the Hydra Avengers Showdown set. Great set with two nice looking vehicles and 3 minifigures costing only 9 cents per part. Review: http://brickpreviews.com/lego-super-heroes-76030-avengers-hydra-showdown-review/
  18. Got my first pirate set today and did a review (Shipwreck Defense). I think I picked a bad set to start though as it is very pricey and the build isn't that great. Review: http://brickpreviews.com/lego-pirates-70409-shipwreck-defense-review/
  19. Finished building the McLaren Mercedes Pit Stop set last night. This is a medium priced set so it comes with 3 minifigures, one of which is a female. Lots of play values but not that great for display I find. Review: http://brickpreviews.com/lego-speed-champions-75911-mclaren-mercedes-pit-stop-review/
  20. Havn't seen much discussions on the new construction/demolition sets released on March 1, are people not interested in those?
  21. Apologies if a thread for this already exists but I didn't see one. I would love to see everyone's LEGO collection. I will post my in a few days once I do some tidying up.
  22. Just done building the Ferrari 458 Italia GT2. It has more stickers than any of the cars I built before and for some people it can be pretty annoying. I do love the huge rear wings though :) Review: http://brickpreviews.com/lego-speed-champions-75908-458-italia-gt2-review/
  23. McLaren P1 is definitely my favourite as well. That yellow/black combo make it stand out nicely. For the images from McLaren site I just used a screen capture software as the images they provided were several mbs in size and not suitable for image sharing sites.
  24. Can you PM me pics of the Sith Infiltrator too if you don't mind? Thanks
  25. As requested by one of the mods here, here is my review of the McLaren P1 newly released on March 1 The Basics Release Date: March 1, 2015 Theme: Speed Champions Age: 7-14 Pieces: 168 MRSP: $14.99 USD, $19.99 CAD Box Dimensions: The Car McLaren P1 is a hybrid supercar designed by the British automaker McLaren Automotive. It is a limited edition car with only 375 units being produced for the price of 1.35 million USD per vehicle to start. It is capable of 217 MPH (350 KM/H) for max speed and can reach 0-60 MPH in 2.7 seconds. Here are some pictures of the real car from the McLaren website. The Box LEGO McLaren P1 comes in a small sized box with 4 unnumbered bags, 2 instruction manuals and a sticker page. I never understood why some speed champion sets have 2 instruction manuals while other sets have them merged into one. Minifigure This set comes with a standard driver minifigure with a silver helmet and painted jacket with McLaren logo in the front and back. Accessory Build The accessory build here is simply 3 traffic cones and a race curb. The traffic cones will definitely come in hand for any other LEGO City sets. McLaren P1 The average build time will be around 15-20 minutes. The instruction manual is pretty detailed so it is hard to make mistakes. There are lots of stickers to apply though and that can take some time to get them just right. We will start with the body using the typical black vehicle base common to many small vehicle builds. Next up is the hood/front bumper. Note the usage of yellow wheel covers (6103455) which are new parts. After the wheel covers we will build the rear bumper. The rear bumper utilize a black plate modified with racer car grille. Some stickers will be applied here to represent the rear lights. The doors here also utilize some stickers to convey the curved edges. The McLaren P1 features a rear spoiler, which uses a new part (6105957). The windshield is a painted piece that is also a completely new part (6107333) The wheels for the McLaren P1 are black (6104403) but it utilize the same tires as all the other speed champion cars. Two sets of interchangeable wheel trims are provided. Here is the final build. Final Thoughts Out of the 3 hybrid supercars I have reviewed so far (LaFerrari, Porsche 918, and McLaren P1), the McLaren P1 model is probably my favourite. The yellow/black theme is really nice to look at and the black wheels are pretty sexy. At around 9 cents per piece this set isn’t that expensive either. While the model is not comparable to the real car, I think it represented the overall shape fairly well. Here are some comparison images with the other Speed Champion cars I have reviewed.
