Is My LEGO Indian A Special LEGO Indian?
Actor Builder replied to Actor Builder's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thank you. I didn't think so, but there's not one listed on Bricklink with a complete figure. Thanks. My LEGO Indian is happy to know he's "Normal". -
Hello, all. I recently acquired some free older (Not really really old) LEGO Minifigures in a large pile for free from a friend. I was trying to sort them all and create the original figures when I found this Indian torso with a red scarf. I can only find others like this that have a blue scarf. Is he a special Indian? Or am I confused? Here is a picture, if I can get it to work with the new site... IMG_0549 by Actor Builder, on Flickr

We missed it? I'll bet LEGO was laughing at us. It looks cool. -

How to find out how much my sealed Lego poly bags are worth
Actor Builder replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in Community
The surest way to tell is to open them up, build them, and ask the set face to face what it's worth. Sometimes it'll tell you. -
LEGO Ideas: 21310 Old Fishing Store (Fall 2017)
Actor Builder replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Town
Yes, that's my assumption as well. I was trying to account for the accuracy of the original submitted idea. I just remembered also that the Exo Suit had Fleshies in the original Idea, and LEGO changed them to Yellies, so I think that's the answer I was looking for. -
LEGO Ideas: 21310 Old Fishing Store (Fall 2017)
Actor Builder replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Town
If LEGO includes minifigures, will they be yellow or flesh? I would assume yellow, but the Idea itself utilizes flesh colors. Has this happened before with an IDEAS set, with an unlicensed Idea using flesh figures? I don't recall. Anyways, this seems really cool. I'll probably buy it, depending on the price. I'm still behind on the Modulars, so who knows. -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Actor Builder replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well he has at least 22 hands, so there's going to be some variation. -
This is an awesome story. I'm not being sarcastic or joking this time, I really think that's an incredible thing, and I enjoyed reading it. that's all.

Have we all already lost the next print category? It's the Penguin mold again but with Red Eyes from the LEGO Batman Movie sets.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Actor Builder replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thats plagiarism. If someone is going to write a thesis about something as bland as a wall, they'd better be prepared to write their own arguments. There are so few papers focused on walls that the original author would no doubt come after you if you stole his/her work. Be safe. Don't steal papers on walls, or walls on papers. -

Red Eyed Penguins? Now I regret not having picked up a Collectible Minifigures Series 16 Wildlife Photographer. Also, now we have to start work on finding the True Mythical Legendary Marvelous Evil Penguin Loop of Red-Eyed Lore and Wonder. -
It had Zombie Pirates chasing Jack Sparrow... The whole franchise is rooted in the idea of piratical immortality. Curse of The Black Pearl was about Immortal Skeleton Pirates and how Jack Sparrow outsmarted them. Dead Man's Chest was about Immortal Fishy Pirates chasing Jack Sparrow to kill him. At World's End was about Immortal Fishy Pirates and how Jack Sparrow outsmarted them. On Stranger Tides was about Blackbeard's Zombie Pirates searching for Immortality and how Jack Sparrow outsmarted them. Dead Men Tell No Tales seems to be about Immortal Ghostly Pirates chasing Jack Sparrow to kill him. See a pattern? The scene in the trailer remind me of the scene where Jack gets the black spot on his hand. They're going to kill him! Foreshadowing! I like the films, but they're all about the same thing, really. See, I didn't like any Star Wars films besides Episode IV and Episode I, for that reason.

Interesting. It looks like the same plot as all of the others: a bunch of undead pirates chasing Johnny Depp.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Actor Builder replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
That's a good point. I still have faith in Tragic Freakin' Banjo. He's Tragic Freakin' Banjo. When has he ever given false information? -
I should have clarified: I was answering the original question in the form of a personal rebuttal. I am not OCD about brick variations. I embrace them.
-
I acknowledge differences in types of the same piece, or old and new greys, and then I utilize them. I made a MOC where I used Old Dark Grey jumper plates in a certain portion, whereas the rest were New Dark Grey, because that's where I felt the vehicle would weather most in my fictional Lego world.
-
I should. I actually got my Delorian "Shield" replacement a pretty long time after the set was discontinued, because I only learned about the replacement part after that. I had to jump through a few hoops, and the customer service people were confused (But very nice as usual) and I eventually got the correct Flux Capacitor print, so it is possible sometimes to wait. Not a good plan, but it can be done.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Actor Builder replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I vote that it is legitimate. Because of Tragic Freakin' Banjo. -
This just reminded me that I still haven't called them about my Wall-E neck problem either. Poor little guy.

I did a bunch of googling and remembering last night because I wouldn't have been able to sleep unless I figured this out... It remind me of El Rincon Restaurante Mexicano at the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village in Sedona Arizona. It's not an exact replica, of course, but the whole aesthetic is very reminiscent of that weird little shopping center. I asked my brother to try and remember all the details of how that placed look, and then I showed him your MOC and his mind was blown. It's quite similar. All that said, I like your creation a lot more than the town I visited. The town was weird. This is cool.
-
Besides the fact that this is a really awesome Modular Building , which I'm sure other comments will cover... Is this based on an actual place? I'm getting the weirdest sense of Deja Vu from this... Maybe some place I visited in Arizona...

A new animal - A Rabbit. We don't have a minifgure rabbit yet, do we? I know of the Friends and Bellville and stuff, but do we have a minifigure Rabbit? A new color - The Unikitty Tail in a new color. That counts.
