The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Actor Builder replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
What fun it is that I parodied this reply before you replied, a few posts above, because we all knew it was coming. LEGO is not sexist. Society is sexist. Customers assuming that a character without the usual physical traits defining it as male or female (such as Orca, or The Eraser, or any Robot and alien mini figures) is automatically a male character is not the fault of LEGO, it is the fault of the society LEGO operates in. The non-definable Orca was assumed to be Male, which is why LEGO often finds it necessary to implement the "sexist" waist printing, to represent the character being female. So, to combat sexism, I will publicly be referring to the unidentifiably gendered pencil character as female. The Eraser is my favorite character from this series. She's very well done and quirky and I will purchase at least one, when they become available. -

Oh no, you MUST be wrong because she doesn't have the printed waistline that female figures do! Which, by the way, is an awful thing to do to define male and female figures! LEGO is sexist and gross in as many ways as I can imagine. -

Did did you just assume the Orca's gender? -
I've seen a few that are around the same size as a real Rubik's Cube, but not that also work very well. Most of them tend to fall apart when used, because they're incredibly difficult to design out of LEGO. I'm sure it's possible to make a sturdy accurately sized one, but I haven't found a really good one yet.

I love how The Penguin moves his joint-less legs by shifting his weight back and forth. Who's the green glowing skeletal pole dancer character? -

I still contend that Two-Face has a lot more hands than we're giving him credit for. -
Red Panda is adorable. Great job.

EB Xmas Raffle 2016 - Your ideal Snow entry thread
Actor Builder replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Town
Darn, with all the deadlines for final projects and tests, I got mixed up and thought the deadline was December 1st. Oh well, you guys all made cool stuff. I made something, but it's too late now. Good luck to all the entered rafflers. Here's my thing anyway, because I'll be too lazy to post it elsewhere: IMG_0911 by Actor Builder, on Flickr "Sir Sturgeon The Surgeon On A Skiing Excursion" He rides a Capybara Ice Trike. There's a story behind it, I'll have you know. Unfortunately, Sir Sturgeon would not have you know the story, and so for now, he shall remain shrouded in the mystery of his excursion. There are many questions, I know. I have the answers, but due to patient-doctor confidentiality policies, I cannot tell you what's up with Sir Sturgeon, or why he's on this Uphill Skiing Excursion. I'm sure you understand. It's simply his secret and I'm not at liberty to share it. -

Maybe something like... "You like to fight around, eh? Fine then, have fun fighting every bad guy ever, Batman! Ha ha haaaa!" On a set-related note, I'm going to say that as much as I love all of these sets, I'm going to have to wait to buy any big ones until I see the Saturn V Ideas set and how much it costs. Being a college student means you can't buy as much LEGO as you need to in order to relax from being a college student. -

As have I, but I don't see how it could be done. I know offbrands make them, but don't you have to remove the arms to put them on? I don't think LEGO wants you to have to disarm your figures as an official build method. -

The first page of this thread says that the Tail Gator set contains 406 pieces, but the box for the set says it contains 460 pieces. I'm not great at math, but I think there are 54 pieces that haven't been accounted for on the first page of this thread. -

I know. I was being sarcastic with a display of desperate speculation. I'm quite willing to quietly wait for news. -

Aquaman. It's all right there. It's gotta be so. There are no other options. -
Well the box doesn't say that The Boat Does Not Float, so I'll be pretty disappointed if it sinks.

That boat looks like it's not a "Boat Does Not Float" kind of boat, wouldn't you say? I'll bet it floats mighty floatily.

Maybe Clayface comes with different arm attachments, such as hands or large spatualas and whisks. Those could account for an apparent underrepesentation of pieces on the box art. -

Can you put Batgirl's ponytail piece on the new CITY baby piece in place of it's head? That would be weird. -

That is interesting. Metalbeard's Duel was and is one of my favorite LEGO Movie sets, and Clayface Splat Attack looks really nice to me as well. I'm looking forward to having Metalbeard fight Clayface on The Tower Bridge. -
Poor Clayface. He only has so many fingers to explode. Unless he grows fingers often. Does Clayface often grow fingers?

That is exceptionally true. I hadn't specifically noticed that, but now that I do, I appreciate it. It doesn't ave weird blue pins and grey joints everywhere. That's really nice. Has anyone complaining about the coloration of Mr. Freeze considered the option that the "Armor" is actually his skin and it makes sense for it to be the same color? That would be trippy. -

What Are The Biggest LEGO Leaks Ever???
Actor Builder replied to Joshua Story's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well the main reason to say a boat won't float is because the boat will sink. A boat can sink for a variety of reasons, but what comes to mind for me is that perhaps the boat gathers water instead of exclusively floating in it. As a boat gathers water, one has to wonder how it's gathering water. Either it's being actively pumped in by a suicidal crew member, or there's a hole in the hull. A hole in the hull would allow water to go through into the body of the boat. Most people consider the action of water going into the body of a boat via a hole in the hull to be what some people might refer to as a "leak".- 6 replies
