  1. What are you talking about??? My box was a standard box, with 2 or 3 Lego seals at each end. Simply sliced the seals at one end and it opened. Not that I really care about a lousy box, that will take up space sitting on a shelf in the backroom.
  2. Really like your work. Great looking truck & trailers. Being an veteran of Naval Aviation, as well as now in aviation in the civilian world. If you are not talking to someone in Aviation or with a Navy background, they get lost real quick with the abbreviations, and acronyms. I do try to at least go back in posts and stuff online to put it in "English" for the rest of those out there, but sometimes forget, or miss some here and there. It happens. Could you spell out your abbreviations for us none Europeans and truck people :) Thanks.
  3. Yes. It goes on sale to VIP members the 15th. I seriously doubt it. I held one this past weekend. The Lego Store had one built. They keep it in the back unless you asked about it, then they would bring it out and let you have a look.
  4. Very nice... Helen, Georgia, USA comes to mind...
  5. 1. F-22 has two engines. 2. 99% of the time an armed F-22 would have weapons in the internal weapons bays. Weapons on the wings kind of defeat the purpose of stealth.
  6. Bargain Hunt strikes again... 41058 Friends - Heartlake Shopping Mall Lego.com: $109.99 Bargain Hunt: $59.00 60036 City - Arctic Base Camp, Lego.com: $89.99 Bargain Hunt: $59.00 Part of the fun for me here is sometimes the box is open... The Arctic Base camp was that way when I opened it. There wasn't a Bag 2 and Bag 4 was open. There were a bunch of pieces floating loose in the box. after the build, I was missing 1 piece, and had another was damaged. I was able to use it. Though I did order the both on Lego.com in the missing piece section.
  7. Target by my house has had a couple of the Deep Sea sets since they came out.
  8. Was looking through Brickset and came across The Rock Band set (850486). Thought pretty neat, but at this stage in the game, the $40 plus people are asking for is a little out to lunch. Sooooo I did up a little of my own. Now to work on getting it in actual bricks...
  9. LIke type in "cannon" in the search bar? Doesn't work. Nothing shows up for "Cannon" nor 84943... Ahh. It's in the expanded side. I was in the standard side. Thanks.
  10. Maybe it's not there, but that would be odd if it is not. I'm looking for x100c01 minifig: weapon cannon shooting Why I would find it odd that it wouldn't be there is the mount: 2527 minifig, cannon weapon base 2x4 is there. Bricklink also list these part numbers as similar, can't find them either. 2533c01 518 bb39 Any help would be appreciated
  11. Bargain Hunt yet again... Pirates 70413 The Brick Bounty Lego.com $99.99 USD Bargain Hunt $60.00 USD
  12. Bargain Hunt score again... 60068 Crook's Hideout Lego.com: $69.99 USD Bargain Hunt: $36.00 USD
  13. No "extra" technology. You simply don't flare the nose as much as another aircraft. The C-130 was originally designed in 1954. Just been upgraded here and there over the years. I think the Lego model more resembles the Alenia C-27J (which Lockheed-Martin co-designed, same flight station/engines as the C-130J)
  14. You could change base plates to grey a plop the thing right down in the middle of your town. Atlanta, Georgia, USA just put in a ferris wheel right in the middle of Mid-Town. And from what I gather, it's the new "in" thing. I believe Seattle, Houston, Dallas among others have them too.
  15. Did I say Bargain Hunt is a GREAT place for deals? Today's bargain.... 42009 Technic Mobile Crane MkII Lego.com price: $219.99 USD Bargain Hunt price: $139.99 USD
  16. Another from Bargain Hunt: A retired set no less. 60008 City - Museum Break-in. Retailed for $69.99 USD I got it for $24.00 USD.
  17. Recently have added: 70013: Equila's Ultra Striker 70123: Lion Legend Beast 70124: Eagle Legend Beast 70126: Crocodile Legend Beast 70127: Wolf Legend Beast 70228: Vultrix's Sky Scavenger 70229: Lion Tribe Pack 70232: Saber Tooth Tiger Tribe Pack
  18. The Lego model is in the same(similar) color that the car was unveiled to the public wearing at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show...
  19. Almost bought this today. Had a chance to pick it up for $36 USD, but took 60069 Swamp Police Station at the same price of $36. Maybe will pick it up next week if still on the shelf.
  20. Store Called BARGAIN HUNT. Keep in mind Bargain Hunt is the epitome of "lucky find" Most of the time there is only one set on the shelf. It's a Close-out/buy-out/liquidation type store. Products that are closed out from your normal retailer, or a retailer simply bought too much product and is trying to liquidate it, or maybe slightly damaged stuff(mostly just packaging) IE the box for the Swamp Police Station looked like someone sat on it, or it had something dropped on it. No biggie to me. Not into Lego for the box. I only care about what's in it. Some of the fun for me is the excitement on if I got a complete set or not.... The Chima set I mentioned above. had a perfect box, but the Lego seals had been cut on one side. When I opened the box all for bags inside had been opened. So i have the entire set (480 pieces) spread out on the table. No one bag at a time on this build, quite fun. and this set ended up missing one piece, I happened to have, and one sticker from the decal sheet. No biggie. picked it up on Bricklink... I've probably picked up 40 plus sets there over the last year. I think as far as missing damaged parts. I've come up with 3 missing pieces, 1 damaged, 1 missing sticker sheet, 1 missing sticker off a sheet. for all sets combined. Quite a few of them were opened and pieces just floating around in the box as well.
  21. CITY 60069 Swamp Police Station. lego.com price $89.99 USD Picked it up at Bargain Hunt for... Wait for it... $36.00 Also picked up Chima 70228 Vultrix's Sky Scavenger lego.com price $39.99 USD, paid $18.00 (This one was missing one piece, though I had a spare, and one sticker off the sticker sheet.) Architecture 21011 Brandenburg Gate lego.com price $34.99 paid $12.75
  22. P3_Super_Bee. Was in the Navy for 20 years on the Lockheed P-3 Orion. There are 3 basic models. P-3A,(Alpha) P-3B (Bravo) & P-3C (Charlie). Starting with Bravo's there would be Avionic system upgrade packages. To keep them straight the had names. For the Bravo's there were: TacNavMod (Tactical/Navigation Modification) Super Bee Killer Bee For the Charlies they went with lame: NUD (non update or baseline) UI UII UII.5 UIII-P (production aircraft rolled off the assembly line like the previous UIII-R (a NUD aircraft through UII.5 that was retrofitted with UIII avionics) There are only about a 1000 more but those are the basics for USN aircraft LOL And now you know the rest of the story.... PS my avitar is a WP-3D Hurricane Hunter flown by NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Agency (USA)) flying inside the eye of a hurricane.
  23. No where near bricklink. They use a standard eCommerce system, like the rest of the world.
  24. Don't have many of this series. Only started off when I got Ice Bear Mech(30256) for free, couple weeks ago at TRU with a $40 Lego purchase. Have since picked up Lion Legend Beast (70123) and Strainor's Saber Cycle (70220) Plan on getting more
