  1. @detective_azani. Won’t load for me either.
  2. I think the probe droid was said to be smaller scale, like the porg and D-O.
  3. Good article and good summary. Man, I was so disappointed when that shuttle didn’t pan out. I don’t usually buy into fake leaks but that one got me. An R2-D2 rerelease would be amazing. If that’s true I guess it would be the same design again since the last one was perfect, but they could smooth out his head. I already have the original so will be saving money for the big one in 2HY. 10225 is an amazing set and everyone should have a chance to get it. Now if they’ll just do C-3PO in the same scale as R2 and BB-8... 11,000 piece Death Star always sounded too good to be true. Not to add fuel to the wishlist fire but the more I think about it, the big one is probably an AT-AT. Cavegod’s legendary MOC clocks in at between 6,000 and 7,000 pieces so it certainly is doable at the price point, it’s just the whole stability thing. Interested to see what the 18+ set turns out to be, but I really wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just another big ship set like a star destroyer (or something a little more relevant to recent Star Wars releases) with the 18+ label slapped on there.
  4. I speculate that it’s the opposite, they’re trying to maximise profits by “encouraging” us to buy direct from S@H. In terms of distribution we certainly aren’t their priority, that much is for sure. We never had lego stores until very recently, and most of the country’s stores opened last year I think.
  5. Does nobody pay attention? The only thing we known for certain is that there’s an $800USD D2C, we don’t know the contents or the piece count. Every damn year we go through the same thing
  6. Maybe this is why LEGO partnered with IKEA, to help them split large sets over two or more boxes
  7. I’m pretty sure the probe droid was confirmed by a legitimate leaker, as were the Vader and Scout Trooper helmet. The third helmet is coming, we just don’t know what it is yet. Everything else on that list is junk.
  8. Thank you. These two have popped up on every fake list for the last two years.
  9. I live in one of the major capital cities. It is very strange, it never used to be this way. The pandemic isn’t to blame, we haven’t been getting sufficient stock for years.
  10. Not always true, especially here in Australia. Never seen the 501st pack or AAT on a shelf in any store here. AT-ST raider from 2019 and everything else from that wave was sold out day 1 and never restocked.
  11. There’s a list of prices floating around now, 75308-75316 with no skipped numbers. It’s claiming 3 D2Cs this year... no way that’s true, is it?
  12. Best start saving now, just in case I want it. That means at least $1300AUD, possibly even more.
  13. I agree with this. There are people complaining that they can’t find future set info in this thread, but they could just check the news thread (I find it absolutely hilarious that these are the same people who are telling us to go to other threads to have a discussion about Star Wars because they can’t find the info they’re looking for). The entire reason the mods started the news thread a few years back was so people had an easy place to go for future set info. This thread is set up as a discussion thread. If we’re talking LEGO or Star Wars, which 99% of the time we are, it should be allowed. The mods are trying to solve a non-existent problem by creating more threads. We already have individual news, discussion, speculation and question threads, I don’t see what help adding more threads would be.
  14. You say “Rogue Squadron movie”, I hear “another lego X-Wing on the shelves”.
  15. The unknown is either a Royal Guard or I saw a wild wishlist disguised as a leak.
  16. @Kit Figsto there have been a handful of clone wars sets released when the show wasn’t running. Off the top of my head Grievous’ Combat Speeder was one, the Azure Angel was another. I might be missing a couple, but there really haven’t been that many.
  17. There are plenty of new figures they could include in a N-1 rerelease. I agree, Padme in this outfit would be perfect. Sio Bibble would also be a good choice, as would Nute Gunray and Rune Haako.
  18. @PreVizsla once again I disagree with most of your post. There’s no reason to be rude to people who haven’t been able to get a couple of figures yet. They are main characters, the more sets they appear in the better. Arm printing was never a thing until recently, it’s not a necessity, it’s a nice add-on to get with your figure. The first wave next year is a welcome breath of fresh air for Star Wars sets. Lower prices with quality builds is exactly what we as fans have been asking for for years. No battle packs is annoying but it’s not the end of the world.
  19. Nah, it’ll be more wishlisting than other years
  20. When I was a kid I got most of my main characters from a bulk lot. The only genuine OT figures I had were Han and Chewie. I had pilot Luke with Dak’s helmet and Vader’s helmet on a police officer’s body, no Leia. I also had Qui-Gon and Jar Jar, that was it. Even when Clone Wars came out I could only afford smaller sets, and as such I only had Anakin. I didn’t get most of the main characters until I saved my money and got the Death Star, and by then I wasn’t really playing with my LEGO anymore. I love seeing main characters in cheap sets. The more often they turn up, the better. I just wish they’d balance it out with some more troopers, the lack of figures in Star Wars sets is very disappointing given the amount of figs other themes get.
  21. $70 AUD for the TIE? Disgusting. That’s the price you could get the old ones for when they were on sale, suddenly it’s just another overpriced set.
  22. At first I wasn’t a fan of the new TIE and I loved the look of the X-Wing, after seeing the reviews my opinions have flipped. The TIE fighter is almost perfect, I think the cockpit is a little bit out of scale with the wings but as a toy it is fine. Nice figure selection though I would’ve liked to see two stormtroopers instead of one, and of course I would prefer the old helmet mould so that it isn’t oversized and so the trooper can actually turn it’s head. I like how easily the wings detach, now if only we could get an “exploding” function like the old Kenner toys. The X-Wing looks nice but it is honestly disappointing. Floppy wings and no retractable landing gear are a massive disappointment. Not a bad first attempt at downsizing but there’s a lot of room for improvement. At the end of the day I’m still happy that we got this smaller version, this is something that we’ve all wanted for a while. No doubt the inevitable rerelease will fix the issues. It’s going to be a pass on these two sets for me, but I do hope the cheaper price makes it more accessible to other buyers.
  23. There’s a box pic of the shuttle floating around and Luke has a green lightsaber on it. It’s low res so I can’t see if Vader has arm printing or not.
  24. @PreVizsla if he’s going to use his platform and reach to pull shit like this time and time again then he opens himself up to criticism. Maybe the criticism from myself and others would stop if he made content that showed he was a mature and respectable role model. If he takes issue with these comments he can do something about it, but clearly he is mature enough to realise that critics are something that comes with his job. Unless he comes after us critics, we’re not going to know if we’ll play victim or not. If he wants to have reasonable discussion this forum is open to everyone and my DMs are open. If he wants to stand by and let his followers try to defend him then so be it. But I’m sure him and his gunship gang have better things to do than feed the trolls. If I wanted a brickheadz of myself I would’ve voted for Jabba the Hutt. I voted for Jaws because sharks are winners, and they don’t look back because they have no necks.
