Thank you guys! Your comments always make my day : ) Yes, let's call it ooze, it is in no way something like excrement left behind by worm-like creatures. No, sir, indeed. :D I also hate that very much!

Thank you for all for all the nice comments! : ) Something like that :D I have a really nice idea for the next few weeks that I hope you guys will enjoy : ) It's on purpose, the "mountain" actually has a cave, and you were supposed to see that the snake's body is also inside, but I couldn't get a nice shoot, since I am only using my phone's less-than-perfect camera with 0 macro capability.

Thank you all : ) Really glad that you like the colors :D

Location: Guinevere – A06 Tags: Kawashita, Science, Exploration Ship Log – 16 Junali 3815 Sensors picked up some strange readings so we decided to stay even though we’ve acquired enough samples to study the ore. Ship Log – 18 Junali 3815 Finally figured out the readings – it would seem that there is a GATE, right here on the planet. Ship Log – 20 Junali 3815 The computer finished it’s calculations. The GATE leads to Guinevere. It seems to be unstable, but if a GATE exists from Traig IV to Guinevere the gain far exists the risk. Tomorrow we go through. Ship Log – 21 Junali 3815 Calculations were indeed correct, we arrived at Guinevere, but the GATE collapsed just as we went through it. We need to figure out how to get back to Traig IV and the Madam. At least there are some more samples here to collect. [Challenge 1] The Leviathan of Dindrane's Solitude (A06)
Dardanel replied to aeralure's topic in AG1 Archive
You matched the colors perfectly! :D I really like this MOC : ) That thing going from its mouth is sand, right? That's the vibe it's giving me :D If you want, you can try giving LDD to POV-Ray Converter a go. It will enable you to produce even better renders!- 23 replies

Never saw those :D And when I checked bricklink I could only find this one http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=4740&in=S&colorID=69&ov=Y so I thought it was custom, which would be a very nice touch imo :D Probably should learn to search better :D

Those decals on those 2x2 round plates/dishes that serve as mushrooms :D

Post the 4-5 alien builds we had instead of regular builds. Is 3:35AM not after the deadline as well? As we in the Kawashita chat gather, the deadline is every Monday 00:00AM, UK time.
-
The build is very cool :D I like the mushrooms? a lot : ) Did you paint the white parts or is this from some official set?
-
Why do you all believe that I have a problem with you/anybody being allowed to post a build later because something went awry? Please read again, carefully, what I wrote and you will see that I have 0 issues with this. Quite the contrary, I support it! What I do have an issue with is that it was done in absolute secrecy, giving an unfair advantage to certain players. Had this not been done in secret then we (Kawashita) could've perhaps shifted our strategy.
-
Of course you see nothing wrong, since you're the one reaping the benefits of having exemptions to the rules. This week a few members of Kawashita went out of their way and made regular and alien builds so we can slow down M.A.N.T.I.S. progress, if need be, and waited until the last moment to post, just to see what and where you guys will build. Do you see now how having a secret agreement is unfair?
-
No, not you in particular, there have been a few builds posted after the deadline. If I had to be terribly nitpicky then I would have to point out that there were even some builds that happened on planets that had "alien activity: none" showing alien activity. (this is totally fine with me and should not be against the rules, but it is) But, you did manage to show the exact the point I am trying to make. All of this happened privately between you and Bob, which in neither fair, nor transparent and shows favoritism, since it's not only the two of you playing the game. You made an excellent point tho :D We should make a shadow judging committee :D
-
"Advanced techniques" can, of course, be specified. The list was just an example. As per environments, a plethora of options is available for all worlds and you can always argue that "it's inside a dome" or something similar. That's why it's -1 and not a disqualification. On the other hand, posting builds after a deadline and especially on planets you do not have access to should be disqualifications. (posting after deadline should be actually treated as an entry for next week)
-
Three judges hardly represent the multitude of different tastes. In any case I am suggesting that clear directions should be made for judging. Per my recommendation: If this "Judging guideline" is crowd-sourced it would most likely be as fair as possible. And big and complex builds would not get the same score as some smaller/less complex builds, which, I am assuming, is the intention.
-
Imho, one jugde per build (that has very clear judging process) is a better option. This would ensure that all builds are treated equally and no personal preferences influence the score(s).
-
I believe that: 1. Judging should be more transparent and more streamlined. Example would be: - Right colors? +1 point - Right environment? +1 point - Wrong environment? -1 point - Minifig on a plate? -1 point - Over 500 pieces? +1 point - Advanced techniques? +1 point - etc 2. Rules should be enforced to the letter (especially time boundaries!). 3. Digital builds should be treated the same as brick-built builds (but this would come to be as a consequence of 1)

Thank you all, you do me great honor :D I had a lot of fun building this one : )

Location: Traig V - E10 Tags: Kawashita, Science, Exploration, Piloting Ship Log – 07 Junali 3815 Received a missive from the Group. It would seem that a new ore has been discovered on Traig V and they want us to investigate. Seems like perfect opportunity to test out the Madam. Ship Log – 08 Junali 3815 Madam has been refueled, tomorrow we set out to our mission. Ship Log – 09 Junali 3815 Arrived at destination. Long range sensors seemed to indicate that the ore is near here, but close range sensors are not picking up anything. Ship Log – 10 Junali 3815 Discovered an oddity in the ore. Sensors finally picked it up, but it seems to be moving. Is it a property of this alien world, or is the ore actually a living organism? I am willing to bet it’s the latter. Ship Log – 12 Junali 3815 Decided on a place for base of operations. Ore seems to be “concentrated” nearby. After confirming that ore’s movement patterns are in fact random I am more and more inclined to believe we’re dealing with a living organism. Ship Log – 13 Junali 3815 Found a cavern with high concentrations of the ore. Thermal sensors confirmed that the ore is in fact a living organism. The cavern seems to be their nesting place. Tomorrow Lazlowe will venture inside the cavern to collect a sample. Ship Log – 14 Junali 3815 Lazlowe went to collect samples with M.A.R.I.E. Ship Log – 14 Junali 3815 - addendum While I wait for Lazlowe to return I decided that this is a good time as any to commit the specs of Madam Curie to the database. I include them with this log.

Ha :D This is very similar to what I am building right now : ) I guess great minds do think alike :D Great job on the ship : )
