  1. The little Dieseltrain looks great, as does the truck and trailer. Didn't know they still made these kind of rails. All others isn't my cup of tea, but honestly: TLG didn't produce this set for a 56 year old AFOL. Great review though.
  2. A wonderfull MOC there Hoexbroe. The interior looks great, especialy the seats and the white/blue walls. Great use of colors.
  3. Is was looking for something to complete the dojo in one of my modulars. It seems i only have to wait until these new sets are being released. Other sets could be incorporated too.
  4. A Very colorfull MOC. Love these bright colors. The trees are beautifull, as is the flowerbed. Great work.
  5. Very ingenious Fonix. Great effort from your part. Love to see more of your work.
  6. A very lovely house Paostmo. Great interior. I like the kitchen a lot and the disco on the first floor. Mayby i am going to steel some of your ideas for one of my future buildings. Hope to see more of your work being published on this forum.
  7. Very nicely done. Love the colors. The rainpipe is great
  8. Why does my chin always fall on my desk every time i see one of your models? What a great looking building you have made there Castor-Troy. From these foto's i can see the interior is awsome too.
  9. Great work, lots of detail in such a small building.
  10. No, I am planning to buy more Roadplates (the old light grey ones) to expand my town.
  11. After i introduced to you my MOC and MOD Modulars it is time to Update my topic om Bricksterdam. I made new foto's and would like to do someting diferent this time. I would like to take you on a stroll through my town. I hope you like to come along with me. Bricksterdam has three streets at this moment, Station Straat, J.Berard Avenue and Rathausstrasse (more are planned). Bricksterdam is an international town, is has buildings from all over the world and therefor street names from all over the world. Lets start in Rathaustrasse. The first building we pas is Medevil Market Pub, a pub, with a Gentlemansclub on the first and second floor. Next to this is the Sushi Bar, a Sushi restaurant, a Judo dojo, and Uncle Festers Wax museum. The two next to each other. On the other side of J.Berard Avenue is the Cafe Corner, with a Hotel on the first en second floor. All three together. Looking from the other side. Rathausstrasse wil be extended in both directions. Next to the Medevil Market Pub wil be build a Butchershop and an other building from Sonicstarlights three buildings. Next to the CC will be placed the Town Hall and, if money allows it, Market Street (With an extra floor on top of the market part as seen in the city made by CasterTroy) The Butchershop is well under way en looks at this moment like this. Lets turn the corner and stroll down J. Berard Avenue. Next to the Sushi Bar we find a Brown Cafe. On the other side of the street the Green Grocer is placed next to the Cafe Corner. Next to the Brown Cafe are a Pizza Restaurant and a Bicicle Repair/Skate Shop the City Corner Next to GG is a Pet Shop and a Town House The next building on the left side of the street is a Flower Shop On the Right side there is a FireBrigade. On the Corner with Station Straat there is on one Side the Grand Emporium.... ... and on the other side Elladora's Sweet Shop. As we stroll down Station Straat, we can sit down and buy some Ice Cream. Can you guess what we be build next to the Ice Cream parlor? Let's cross Station Straat and take a look on the other side. This will be a Square in front of Bricksterdam's planned Railway Station. Plans a being made to expand Metro Station (4554). There are trees, a band stand and a Stop for the City Tram. The are special lights alongside the Tramrails and in front of The Candy Store. Here are some overall looks on Bricksterdam at this moment. I hope you enjoyed strolling along with me through my town. As time passes more buildings wil be included. A Forth Road Baseplate for Station Straat is already Completed and include a Fruitstand next to the Bandstand. The Road baseplate that will be the crossing of J.Berard Avenue and Rathausstrasse is ready to. As soon as some more buildings are completed (Town Hall, etc.) is will do an other update. Thank you for taking your time on this walk. Ger de Roo
  12. What a great effort. I must congratulate you with this model. It would look fine in any town. Realy love the inside. I noticed the Gramafoon too, did not know it was from the set.
  13. Wel time to introduce to you the last building in my town (for now, there will be more). If you want to learn some skills, you can either begin with some easy ones, or you can try to tackle a realy tough one. I tried to doe the last. As a novice builder of Modular Buildings i saw Jasper Joppe Geers lovely Elladora's Sweet Shop on this forum. I was swept away by the skills used in this building. The outside and the inside were (are) real masterpieces in my eyes. I studied the pictures Jasper made very carefully and one by one things began to fell in it's place. I started to copy this, but decided to change te colors. The dark purple Jaser used was very hard to come by and very expensive. Red i had in plenty, so the choise was quickly made. of all my builds, MOD and MOC, this one was te hardest and too the longest. This is the only building i didn't change all that much, just the inside of the second and third floor, plus the roof part. Here is the result front and back I changed the street scene.Made it a little more compatteble for my town. (the lampposts an trees are not shown. The are situated on the roadplates in front and on the side of the building. As shown in my introduction te Bricksterdam) All parts side by side The gound floor i left almost the same, including the interior. The were simply perfect. The outside of the second floor was left almost unchanged, but the interior was completely overhauled. With the third floor i did the same, but here the are some more changes on the outside. The roofpart i changed the most. It was great recreating Jaspers building. It fits beatifuly in my town. I learned so much. Thanks for the inspiration. Many of you here on this Forum have ben an inspiration to me and thanks to you all i can now create My Own Creations. KEEP ON INSPIRING US BEGINNERS, PLEASE. Jasper, i hope you like the way i recreated your building and the changes i made. Of course are all your comments welcome.
  14. I love it. The Pinetree's are great.
  15. Hello Again. This is the next modular Building i would like to introduce to you. Completely unskilled in the art of MOC and Modular Building is started to Copy other MOC's. I searched the Internet and found serveral buildings i liked. Over the years i had bought a lot of models, town, trains, castle and space. I begun the make good use of these bricks, but did not had the new colors. I had a lot of white, black, light grey, yellow and blue. I found a yellow and white house, that was very pleasing to the eye and begun learning the skills needed to build a building like this. I actualy begun building three one shortly after the other, The brown cafe, elladora's sweat shop and the flower shop. Elladora's sweet shop will be the last (for now) building is would like to introduce to you. It was fun to be building these models. I begun using my own ideas by changing little things. This building and Elladora's sweet shop were the models i changed less. The interior however i did change in this model. The interior of the original, i believe is was made by Marcos Bessa, was a Green Grocer. I already had the original Green Grocer and wanted an other shop in my tow. I had a lot of flower stems and so the desicion was easely made, i would make a flower shop. I put minifigs on the pavement and created my own interior. In the back of the shop there is a Green House. And a Shed The second floor is a apartment The last floor is a small attic and a patio. It was fun recreating this building from floor to floor. I made the significant change in the top floor. There was a part there, a clock, i could not find anywhere, so i placed an extra window, with worked very well. I liked making the little changes and was pleased with the result. I hope the original builder of this model, a real artist in my opinion, likes to see his creation being made by an other builder. It realy brightens up my town.
  16. After i found the Modulars from Lego an saw the great MOC´s that were made in this area, i wanted to try and work on my skils in building these houses. I saw a building made by i think Marcos Bessa. I was a Pizza Restaurant, but wasn´t 32x32. It was somewhat smaller. I enlarged it with a door and a stair to the next floor, in the back i included a kitchen. The result was as follows. the back side of the building. I loved the idea of making it a Brown Cafe.By that time i was already playing with the idea of making an Modular City Corner. Not so much details there yet, Both other floors are still without interior, only a fireplace. To enlarge this floor i put in an extra window and remodeled the balcony. The attic And the roof part What attracted me to this building was the details on the front side of the building and the use of light gray brick. I had u ton of these bricks en could make the to good use there. The result was very pleasing to me and i hope you will like it to. Along the way i will include an enterior on both upper floors. Perhaps i will try and make seperate rooms, as is the fashion in these kind of buildings these days. One must follow good developments.
  17. Very well done Cunctator. I love the use of the dark blue. The Pizza place is great. Very detailed. The apartment is well done too. Love the way you made seperate rooms. I have not been abele to do that. Mayby i have a close look on how you did it (if you don't mind getting your ideas stolen bij me). A real eye catcher is the square behind the building. Great details there.
  18. On the way to an update on Bricksterdam i would like to introduce to you a new MOC. It is a 16x32 modular Building in CC style. Stationstraat is the road in front of the Railway Station (a future model based upon the Metro Station). The Grand Emporium is on one side of J.Berard Avenue and Elladora's Candy Shop (by J.J.Geers) on the other. Next to this is the Ice Cream Parlor. The Back of the building The ground floor is the Ice Cream Parlor. Behind the shop is the stair to the first floor. The First floor is the apartment of the owner of the Parlor. The attic is the bedroom. Finely the roof. And here is my Ice Cream Parlor on Station Straat
  19. I have made an update on this topic with new foto's. I hope you like it. (see above)
  20. I have always admired 'Sonicstarlight's' Medevil Market Pub. A lot of people did the same and the topic kept popping up. I asked him if i could reproduce his buildinng for my own town and he didn't mind and even offered help. The one thing he asked was, that i showed him te finished building. Well.... It isn't finished yet, but ready for publicing. I only have to include an interior to the top floor, Well, here is the front of the building. I chose to use different color windows. I now see that a poor boy fell down in front of the entrence, and there is no one to help him. Maybe i am in need for a hospital in my town. Here is the back of the building A closer look as the front. This is a part of my Rathaustrasse in Bricksterdam. This building will be placed next to my Sushi Bar. The entrence to the bar in close-up And the entrance to the gentelmans club on the first floor Hé, Someone did pick up the little boy. Hope he isn't hurt. The inside of the bar. A lot of people there. I kept Sonicstarlights Jukebox, because i think it was a masterpiece. The Second floor, a Gentleman's Club, with Pooltable and Soccertable. (I didn't catch Sonicstarlights Soccertable, but content wit the result though) The third floor is not finished yet on the inside. I have had until this moment no idea what to put into it. Has anyone an suggestion for me? This is all i have on the inside at this moment On the roof i made a few alterations. I saw the golden trident and wanted to use it, this is the result. Next to this building will also be one of Sonicstarlights buildings, the Butchershop. This is how far i have come with it. I hope you will like my effort and as always, i am open for suggestions en remarks from all of you. Thanks people, for the source of inspiration you all are. I love this Forum.
  21. I wish to make my town as international as it can be, some American Buildings (FB and GE), some buildings with a German Feeling abaout them (Sonicstarlights Medevil Market Pub) and some Dutch (The City Corner Buildings). That why i chose my street names as international as can be. PS. Did i mention that next to the CC the TH wil be placed. Thats why Rathausstrasse Thanks for the comment. I will certenly be lloking for that part Just wanted to give it an Oriental look. I chose the colors from a Ninjago model and took some parts of it as well
  22. After a long building periode i have the pleasure of introducing you to my next modular building. I was in need for a corner building for my Bricksterdam and wanted it to be a Sushi Bar. It will be placed on the corner of J,Berand Avenue and Rathausstrasse, oposite to the Cafe Corner. In a few days i will update my topic on Bricksterdam and show you the progress made over the last months. But back to this topic. Here is the whole building This is the side on Rathaustrasse (named so because Town Hall will be placed later next to the Cafe Corner, that is opposite to the Sushi Bar) The side on J. Berand Street looks like this The entrence to the restaurant The restaurant itself. An other view The whole ground floor The first floor is a Gym. Barney San is going to give judo lesson there, but not everything is there yet. Barney has won several prices, but the need to be put on a shelf. The dressing room needs to be tiled, but the shower is ready. The second floor looks like a Gomes Adams investment. It seems Uncle Fester uses this floor to store some of his assets. And finely the roof I hope you enjoyed this tour through my MOC. Commends are welcome. and if you would like to see more pictures, please visite my Brickshelf page. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=ger5664
  23. Looks great Faefrost. I love the roof and the sign on the side of the building. Would love to see this in real bricks. Wonderfull effort.
  24. More money would be helpfull too!! Great City though Castor-troy. You have done an excelent job there. Must realy be a labor of love
  25. Well Alois, i knew you were good with Moc's but this realy kills me.A superb street you have created there. Love the PCC, it looks very "Haags" as some other details. Great work and i hope you can find a bigger table, so you can expand even more. Love the town hall and the Y in Stadhuys realy works, althow it was a forced error. The Dutch houses are very well build too. Again, Great work Alois.
