Wow, Looks like Australia has his own space programe. Great work.
-
Wow, I am very pleased with the result. It overschadows my wildest expectations. Very well done Lego Group. Now i'm a bigger fan of the modulars. It's going to be an expecive year for me, because i still have to buy te Pet Shop and complete my own MOC modulars. Looks like i need a second job afterall.

I am a fan of the old 4-wide vehicles too and put them in my town. I love the creative way you put these cars together. Great work.
-
I realy love them. The colours are well chosen. I love the old 4-wide vehicles. If you don't mind, ik like to introduce them into my own town.

Layout Here is an update on Bricksterdam. I have been working on Station Street. The Tramtracks have been replaced and gravel placed between the tracks. Trees have been added and some fancy streetlanterns. There is a stage on wich a band is playing. It still needs some work, but there is progress. Disco Dude has been listening to the band for some time, but is now waiting for the tram to the nearest Disco to dance the night away. The Sushi restaurant is also progressing. The first floor is almost finished and madam Butterfly is tending to her costumers.

My city is a more international kind of town. You can see the typical North-Amarican Firebrigade and Grand Emporium and the more German oriented Green Grocer. My Candy Shop could easely been seen somewhere in Switserland and the Brown Cafe in France. As you can see Bricksterdam is a Cosmopolytan city. As i write this, i am worken on a Sushi Bar, with will be as Japanese as posible. A Medevil Market Pub wil be German or Austrian. As i build on i wil try to find even more typical house from other countries. I have seen a MOC by a Spanish builder en loved it. That one is on my wanted list.

As you can see, it worked like a charme. Thanks for ypour help

I changed your name, sorry about that. Should have done my research better. And Yes, i believe some of Marcos Bessa's creations were my source off inspiration. I believe the Brown Cafe and Flower Shop are his. Thanks for the complement and keep inspiring guys like me. Yes i have made an interieur in my sweet shop. just take a look:

Layout Recently i have put all my modular buildings together and made twee streets with it. I made pictures of them and i would like to share these with you. The city is called Bricksterdam and will the two full blocks. Each blok will be about 5 modulars long (2 corner buildings and 3 large buildings between them, of 6 small ones). The total will be 32 modulars. It is still WIP and not all building shown are ready. The still need some modifications, or extra parts, but i wanted to share it with you on this forum. In the front you see the city tram. I believe i saw it on Brickshelf and wished to include it in my town. I had to modify it, because the original was 8 studs wide and i wished it to be 6 wide. When it was finished i was very pleased with it. The tram tracks are a part of the square in front of a railway station. It will be a modular rebuild of the old Metro Station. Witch collors i will use on the station is not yet decided. The train in the station is already finished (exept 1 wagon, with is almost ready). It will be Ben Beneke's beautiful Bavarian S3/6 with 3 Orient Express carriges. The street in front of the station will be Station Street (not very original but convinient) I wil use the old light gray road base plates for it. The first side street (witch will be eventualy the middle one) will be Jamie Berard Avenue, in honour of the inventer of the Lego Modulars. On one side of the street there will be the official Lego Modulars (CC, GG, FB, GE and very soon PS) The other side will be made of non official lego modulars. The corner house is a Candy Shop. It is my adaptation of Jasper Joppe Geers beautiful and inspiring Elladora's Sweet Shop. Thanks Jasper. It it not finished, the roof still needs work. Next to it is a Flower Shop. It was the first modular i tried th build. I have seen it on Flicker and loved it very much. Because of the collors i tried to rebuild it as closely to the original as i could, but later on i began the use my own imagination. I learned a lot of building skills with this one. The result is very pleasing. It needs just a few more stones and wil be finished very shortly i hope. Next to the flower shop are two small buildings (Pet Shop style). It is my own modular rebuild of the Lego City Corner. I have introduced this one in a earlier posting. They were the first building i made from scratch and i am very pleased with the result. The first on is the Pizza shop and the other the bycicle repair shop. Next is a Brown Cafe. Again it's a building i've seen on Flicker. I believe it from the same builder as the yellow flower shop. This was the second building i tried to recreate and made more ajustments to it than the first. This one need some more interior work. Then there will be a corner building. I have just started with this one. I am using the brick i already have and buy on Brickshelf the others. But bricks can be exspencive and are sometimes very hard to find. I think everybody here will have his own exspirience with that. Try to find one seller with all the bricks you need!! Imposible. The corner building will be a Sushi Bar. It has a little bit of Ninjago tast to it. It's in a very early stage, but here it is ( i am not very happy with the Palm trees and replaced them with green Bushes). An other project i am working on is Sonicstarlights Medevil Market Village Pub. Also one of the beautiful Buildings seen on this forum. I loved it so much, i had to inculde it in my town. This also need al lot of work, but it's getting along. Thanks Sonicstarlight. You to have inspired me to began building again. There is one more (small 16 studs) building that is onder construction. It is a Ice Cream Parlor. The foto's i had made were not fit for publication en wil be made public soon. You can see it in the town, it is next to the Sweet Shop on Station Street. I hope you liked the tour. I wil update this topic as i progress with my building. P.S. More pictures can bee seen on my Brickshelf account. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=ger5664

I have put pictures of the yellow house in my street also on Brickshelf. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=486515 This one is not one of my own design. It was my first attempt to create a house that not came out of a Lego Box. I had seen pictures of it on Flikr en tried to copy it. I did learn a lot by doing so. The model was a Green Grocer, but i already had the official GG, so i made it into a flowershop. The Front of the building i left almost unchanged, but the back i redeveloped into something my own. The first floor interior is my own creation. Have fun looking at these foto's and please stay creative and sharing your creations with us. You may inspire someone like me to be creative too. Brick on. P.S. The Corner building, my Candy Store, is a creation of Jasper Joppe Geers. In a future addition i wil show pictures of it and the small changes i made to this excelent creation. Thanks Jasper, you have been realy an inspiration.

I would like to re-introduce you to my Modular version of 7641 City Corner, as Modular Buildings. I have made some new Foto'sand can give you a look on how they fit into my town. Some time ago i saw the new modular sets from Lego and i was completely hooked. My first was the GG and was abel to get the CC at a resonable price. FB folowed and GE. Pet Show is not yet mine, but will be soon. I realy love this street. After some time i discovered this forum en saw the MOC's you are Building and since i have a lot of old Lego, i decided to build some of those too. It was fun to see these buildings grow. I didn't have all parts, but Bricklink is supplying me on a monthly basis. Now i wanted to make an MOC of my own. I already had 7641 City Corner en decided to take this as a starter. The result of my firt effort can be seen on Brickshelf. I had to make a link, because i jused the wrong extension for my pictures en was not able to post them in this topic. I wil try to work on this the next time (praktice makes perfect). Here are both buildings. They will be placed in the middle of J.Berard Avenue, between a Bown Pub and the Yellow Flower Shop (a Marcos Bessa Model) The back looks like this The first building is the Pizza Restaurant. All four parts The first floor is the Pizza backery, Also take-away. You can see the oven and the ingredients on display. You can choose your own ingredients. They also sell Icecream. The second floor is the restaurant. Wining and dining in a romantic ambiance. The third floor is the office. (no interior yet) The Roof part with the dish for satalite television. Mext door is a bicicle repairshop and Scate shop. Fjalar (my grandson) got a new board. His little brother Taavi is trying to get his mother (my daughter) to give hime one too, but he is to young. The back of the building All four parts Ground flour, the shop. A bicicle under repair and underneath the stairs there is a small office. The second floor is a apartment, the owner is a Roadstar Lover and has one himself (to be included in Bricksterdam) In the attic is the bedroom Here is how they look in the J.Berard Avenue I will give you an compleet look of my town when i update my topic within the next few days

I realy love your work. The interiour looks great. I allmost envy your creativitie about that. I myself have a lot of trouble with that part. Keep on building them and inspiring everyone.
-
Vincent, It's amazing. I like the Dutch style very much This house would blend in just right in any Lego modular street. Splendit work and hope to see more of your work in the future
-
I have been waiting all these weeks for the new modular building and i'm not disapointed. I love the details of both houses. They will look splendid between the others. I am fortunate to own all four modular buildings and they are getting better and better. Would have loved more minifigs, but i have more than enough in my own collection for adding. Great work TLG. Can't wait until i can buy it en put it all together.
-
I realy love this MOC. Wish the Lego Group would attract artist like L@go and create more modular building sets. Love the dealership. Very creative. I'm a conformist! L@go.

After seeing the modular buildings, i too was hooked again to Lego. I did not like the way Lego began to use large parts. Building a model schould take al while and not seconds. A modular building takes hours for me to build. Recently i began to buy lego online en began to build houses i only had a picture of (mostly found on this forum). I am beginning to use my own fantasy to make my buildings more attractive en having more en more fun with it. My grandson (6) is follwing in his grandfathers footsteps and we are building a lot together. It's fun to make your own modulars. Saying this i must also confess that i am waiting with anticipation on the new Lego modular. I am certenly going to buy it en include it in my town. It is never going to happen, but i like to see a modular trainstation coming from Lego. I guess i have to create that one myself.
-
I love all your buildings. I am a great fan of modular buiding en are currently building al flouwershop and a pub from pictures i have seen in other topics. I realy like the fancy bookstore. Keep on building and hope you will post them (so maybe i can copy them) Ger

What a magnificent Job and thanks for all the detailed pictures. I'm a beginner in modulair building and am in the process of sorting my own lego. I have a lot of original models, but put them all together in serveral boxes. So a lot of work is to be done before i can realy begin building. The pictures will help me a lot when i am startuing eventualy. I hope my models wil be as beautiful as yours. Congratulations on this one en hope to see more work of you in the future (because i can use all the help i can get)

No for me too. Let's keep lego something that is suiteble for the smal kids. There is to much violence on TV shows (Cartoons) today. Don't force violence upon our kids en keep lego clean

I realy love this MOC. Great job. This one building that would look nice in my own town í am recently begon to build. I have four of the houses from Lego and looking for other buildings. Thanks for the pictures from the inside, they look incredibly detailed. In the near future i would like to build it myself (if you don't mind). If i have any trouble could i ask for you help? Thanks
