This was the idea: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/390350 And finally I built it! It was a lot of fun and the result is superb! Here some pics: https://www.dropbox.com/s/poo5ogzapekwz7t/Fotor_155959752235310.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/xfqmalpji4ccvbk/Fotor_155959769174667.jpg?dl=0 Best regards!

Hi guys, here a new building of the mini rig CAP-2 inspired by the version of Brandon Griffith: https://www.flickr.com/photos/brandongriffith/6592187675/in/photostream/ I hope you like it: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/0ks9gukbm2c4958/AACpy1Yhs1xbPeaygVimyoxMa https://www.dropbox.com/sc/0pc3wd2ixjsrgu3/AADQKKpslJaklZgRJtgEg_usa Chris

Hi guys, I just wanted to share with you a beta version of my Midi Sandcrawler, inspirated by Pepa Quin (Matt De Lanoy): http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/14570 There still some parts missing and some parts maybe resolved in a different way. It's meant to be played with, so there is some space inside to put some Jawas and some droids. So, here some photos: https://www.dropbox....small2.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.... small.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox....ew=P1150476.JPG So far, Chris

Tried to make the window screen transparent (closer to the original). So you can see the pilot. On the other hand I tried to work with stickers in order to give the side walls a more tecnical appearance. Here a photo: https://www.dropbox.com/s/texwq153fuohsxo/P1150010%20peq.jpg?dl=0

Thanks for your quick help, yes indeed, I was talking about the nose. Ok, it's attached, in the lxf-file it wasn't very clear. Here are some fotos: (still missing some pieces, for example the cristal top of the cockpit). https://www.dropbox.com/s/rxrpl4w43u6p6wh/Snowspeeder%20small.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/c6md3kmmc5lq8tj/Cockpit.JPG?dl=0

Well, I finally built it and it's really great! Soon I will show some pictures of my white version with white stripes. Just one question about the front piece, I wasn't able to find out if it is really fixed or just put on the sides, so it falls of everytime you turn the ship around. Please let me know! Thanks! Chris
-
Maybe I will modify a little bit the sides of the cockpit, they are too clean or I miss some tecnical details. Maybe this way: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ds2hhmw560ey40y/Endor%20Ranger%20small%20modified.jpg?dl=0

Yes, I build it exactly as you described in your LDD, though some special bricks are missing (cockpitscreen). The pilot fits perfectly as you can see in this picture: https://www.dropbox.com/s/miivd8qi67v8n5d/IMG_20150510_235217.jpg?dl=0 I'm think there should be some kind of observation slit in the front of the cockpit, i was thinking something like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/d3sebkjss9j8obs/IMG_20150510_235124.jpg?dl=0 Moreover it's quite I thinking about how to improve the opening of the cockpit, at the moment the best way is to open the cap, but maybe it could be interesting to open the wall... But all in all it's a great design, the rotation of the cockpit works great! Have you also seen the built MTV-7 and INT-4 version? Chris

I really like it too and I started to build it. This is how it looks like: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dyu20583gf4fnx1/IMG_20150509_184250927~3.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ylwx6mrjrhpflaj/IMG_20150509_184334724~2~2.jpg?dl=0 So, thanks a lot for the idea and sharing the LLD, this was a great help! Had to delete the photos in order to have some more space, but you still can watch them here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/o9da4h2cibzye85/P1140913.JPG?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/kwyw8e1ta9uagf7/P1140908.JPG?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/g0blbasggdd76h0/PDT8%20mod.JPG?dl=0 If someone would like to have the lxf-file, just write me. Best regards, Chris

Thanks for your inspiration, I like more the small version and so I tried to build it. It still seems to be quite high (almost you can't see the figure), so I modified some things and I'm still trying to work out the sides. Have a look: https://www.dropbox.....JPG~2.jpg?dl=0 Best regards, Chris

Well, I've been trying to remake the one seen on flickr and it wasn't so difficult. Her some fotos of the result. https://www.dropbox.com/s/m2l713yrs5zqrge/IMG_20150509_105905.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/w451ccsx3zybf0i/Minirig%20INT4_2.JPG~2~2.jpg?dl=0 I still have to change some bricks in order to improve the design, but I already love it. Chris

Thanks again for your help, I've just ordered the bricks. In white, because the part of the wings are easier to find and cheaper than the light grey color. Chris
-
Well, it's not so easy as I thought to get the lxf file with grey bricks. I changed it with the LDD programm, changing any white piece to light bluish grey, but unfortunately almost half of them does not exist in grey colors. So I don't know how to handle this. On the other hand I have found the bricklist of Larry's grey snowspeeder, but it is a partlist text document and the other is a ldr-file. Has anyone an idea how to convert the file in a lxf-file or a xml-file to upload to Bricklink. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=472574 Last but not least, what do you think about the price, would it be cheaper with white bricks or grey ones? Thanks a lot! Chris
-
Yes, that's right. With the LDD Manager it works fine, so now I got to find a store which has all these bricks. But I think I'll order the white bricks in light bluish grey, that's more accurate to the film. Anyway thanks all for your help! Chris
-
Thanks for your quick answer, doing it again I recognized that it wasn't a problem of the PartID but of the color ID. For example bricklink has problems with the color ID 199 or 194. According to the lxf file 199 should be "Dark Stone Grey" but I can't finde it in the Bricklink color guide. :-( Hi David, Thanks for your help. I think the problem was the color ID. Trying with the LDD manager I noticed that the BL color is different from LDD color. So I'll give it another try! Thanks a lot! Chris
-
Thanks for sharing the lxf.file I really would like to build this version of the Snowspeeder, but a lot of ID-Numbers of the Bricks cannot be found when I upload the xml-file in Bricklink. Could you share your xml-file? By the way, do you know if there is a lxf-file of Larry's version? Thanks a lot. Chris
-
Thanks for your comments! Yes, basically it's a little bit shorter (just space for one man sitting in the front and not so high because I eliminated one brickheight (see the figure standing). Last but not least, the feet are fixed more in the inside, so they don't fall down so easily. Here some more picture of the lastest version: The next one I'd like to try is these ones, but I haven't found any lxf. file yet... http://flickrhivemind.net/Tags/int4,rigs/Interesting

Here is the one I made. I started with the Jamie's big one, but then I made it a little mit smaller. What is also important, the jet engine can rotate. I hope you like it. If so, I have it in lxf. Best regards, Chris PS: Please upload the lxf file of the small version.

Thanks for the instructions of the mini-rigs, they are really great. I've also seen a diferent model of the one in flickr, but there is no instruccion: Do you know how to get the lxf-file of this one? Thanks, Chris
