  1. Do we need yet another topic to complain about the number of cars in the lineup? Among the dedicated MOC topics currently on page 1 of this subforum, I count 12 cars, 2 trucks, 1 truck/crane, 1 combine harvester and 1 robotic arm. I can’t blame LEGO for concluding that people like cars.
  2. Really cool model, and awesome video!
  3. That’s the “Stop” of Axle 5L with Stop.
  4. That’s awesome! The minifigs moving trolleys is already cool, but having the legs move is a massive flex, well done! Did you have to lubricate or otherwise modify the legs to move them so easily, or does the mechanism provide enough force by itself?
  5. A spam comment was added to the thread, pushing the thread to the first page. I think that when the spam was removed, the thread went back to its original place in the listing.
  6. You need to put the device in “developer mode” and then you can install apps signed with a regular iCloud account. However, it seems that such apps have limited “lifetime” and after a week or so are disabled. In any case, you need XCode, which is a seriously big installation.
  7. This looks great! I really like this scale and admire how many functions you managed to squeeze in. The modularity is a great plus!
  8. How did that 5L connector end up under “beams”?
  9. I had thought the same @Appie, an extra stud in the front is not much, but it might allow the larger LA. I’m getting convinced about a v2 iteration.
  10. Thanks @Good old Lego builder, glad you like it
  11. Thanks @1gor! Yes you’re right about the wheel base. After I finished (yes I know), I checked the scale with a similar Komatsu, and indeed it should have been two studs longer. Maybe for version 2
  12. Thanks @Jundis! I tried with a lot of combinations, also with the larger LA. This was the best I could come up with given the constraints (also time). The medium LA is quite a bit bigger: retracted it’s as long as the extended small LA. Ideally I’d like something in between. In the video of @mahjqa you can see it in action: I’ll try to shoot something after I come back from vacation.
  13. After having built the 42209 Volvo Wheel Loader, I got inspired (like many others ) to build an RC version. However, I got ambitious and went for a slightly bigger size. I'm quite happy with the result: It has 4 PU L motors. It has 4x4 drive using the new differentials: I struggled a lot with the kinematics. While @Jundis excellent explanation was a good starting point, I didn't manage to get a satisfactory kinematics across the whole range of motion: Especially at the top the dumping performance was poor: Eventually, I ran out of time for the event (Load Zone - bulk goods) and gave up. I might revisit it some time, but nonetheless, it was a lot of fun to drive around with. High-resolution photos are on Bricksafe. Hope you like it!
  14. This dump truck was built for the Load Zone - Bulk Goods event. It's simple, but works well and easy to drive. The dump bed lock mechanism is described nicely by @Appie, so I won't repeat that here. It's simple but effective. The front-end is almost the same as that of my previously posted RC truck, the rear obviously rebuilt to accommodate the dump bed. High-resolution photo's are on Bricksafe. Hope you like it!
