Well, we would also be fine with a free instructions. You don't have to sell them. Terrific looking thing! How bad is it with the unimog tyres?

What helped me a lot was downloading the video, playing it in vlc with reduced speed and taking screen caps. Scrolling through the pictures is much easier than watching the video that often.

My normal Workflow for part orders: Open the bsx-File with Brickstock and delete or change the amount of parts for the ones i already have (or use rebrickable to calculate this). Then use either Brickficiency oder BrickWizard (both are not perfect both are getting the job done, maybe after some tries) to calculate the orders for the needed parts. But check the store terms before ordering, because these tool don't consider lot limits or similar restriction in all cases. For the ball factory I've ended with 3-5 orders from different stores for around 350€ (don't remember the exact amount and it was probably combined with parts for other projects). Considering price per part Akiyuki's models are rather "cheap" MOCs because there are usually not many rare or expensive parts.

The ev3 ballsorter is also nearly finished. I still need to order a few parts and some minor fixes have to be applied, but it's working already quite well: Are there others that want to built this module? I would then finish the ldraw file and propose a design to use a second large motor for the spiral case because x1676 is rather rare. A second large motors should be in anybodies inventory with a ev3.

If I can organize a second ev3 I'll probably give it a try. But as he labels it as a demo I expect that he'll release a final version. To be really useful as a alternative to commercial kits some kind of hand and maybe a track base would be useful. I assume his final version will be include some elements from his existing robot and the . The usefulness in GBC modules he already showed in some of his videos. The software will really be a rather hard part, but controlling it over a regular pc make this aspect easier to handle.

Efferman's Custom Parts
goggel replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That looks great! Ordered the parts. But do I also see a four stage boom? -
The Ball Sorter is nearly build in LDraw and will be build with bricks in the following weeks. But some parts and one construction are still unknown to me. Hope somebody could help me with them. What part is this part on the spiral case and any idea why it was used and not a 4L bar? What construction is this? Looks like 6538 + a hull, but I didn't find any fitting one. I've current replaced it with a long pin + Pin Connector Round 1L + 2L which seems to work quite fine. And I still don't really know how to get to this: I've assume that it's also connected to the ev3 brick on the left. The LDraw file of this section has been attached and I'm quite sure that all the parts in there are correct (with exception of the 1/2 brushes). Thank in advance for your help! @The Rebricker: The LS-L407 looks great! @Blackbird: Could you please provide the LDraw files for the modules you've tested? This would allow me to build a four heads and is helpful when the instructions are not super clear. I've build the Fork2Fork and in some steps the viewing angle was not perfect to be sure that all the parts are on the correct position. Futher it's helpfull Ball Sorter part.ldr

This Project is just too good (and expensive)! Big thanks to Blackbird for creating these instructions (and of course all others helping and contributing). As the EV3/NXT GBC modules are currently exclude in the scope of this topic, I'm trying to replicate the EV3 Ball Sorter. But don't expect a pace similar to Blackbird's :)
