  1. No intensions of "real" army building... I just like their camouflage armour very much! And as theres always some room for more troopers, I thought... Why not?
  2. Thank you! Yeah... You always need more LEGO, don't you? Right now I'm searching parts for the docking bay 327 for my Falcon... Next week Legoland Germany opens up again, and I'll have a look what they ask for 2500 black tiles...
  3. Got another Kashyyk Trooper BP today... you never can have too many troopers, now can you?
  4. Hello there, I started off in this very board by sort of hijacking a thread about bricklinking a 10179, making a promise I'd start my own thread about it. Well, today I finally had some time to take pictures of my 10179 and as I was snapping away, I also took some pictures of the rest of the collection... I was pulled out of my dark age about last september, when we had moved to our new house and I bought some SW-Lego Microfighter sets for my 5yo boy... I found those little ships so interesting and the figures so spot-on, I started collecting and building away... of course, as a huge SW-fanboy, starting with the 10179 as my very first BL-project in November/December. Here goes: Some odd-colored plates in old (dark) gray, red and tan add to the overall "shabby" look of the Falcon. As you can see, I did some changes to the greebles and added a little piping to the surface. Here's a shot with the modified engines... the Idea was shown here on this board by Scottish Dave: A shot on the engines, only minor changes here... I tried to close up all wider gaps between the hullplates by adding little bits and pieces below them: Brickbuild radar-spoke on the dish and some of the characteristic laser-burn-marks on the hull... Sorry, I do not have much pictures from the building process, but that can be seen endlessly here on the board and on the internet anyways... I do have some other stuff, though: Living room: The mighty Death Star and the infamous Slave 1 In the dining room we have the stuff, my son plays with right now: Republic Gunship, T-16, B-Wing, a Tank, and some other stuff... If he looses Interest in those, I grab em for my cabinets in the cellar, which right now display: the battle of Hoth: and the rest of my LEGO SW things: And finally, my dedicated Star Wars room... (I've been collecting Kenner/Hasbro stuff on and off since the early 80ies, when the original Movie hit the theatres here in Germany.) I hope you enjoyed the tour. I'd love some feedback and I'd be happy to answer any questions...
  5. Great, we got "Dupli-Color" here in Germany as well... Thanks a lot! It looks really great from that low angle... There is a thread here on the board about greebling the engine area, that I find very interesting. Have you had a look before?
  6. Thank you, but which make? Paint for plastic models (Tamiya...?) or orher? Avilable on the net or local?
  7. Those painted parts look spot on! Very nice pictures from the build... I already feel the itch to try this one as well... Could you describe what kind of color you used for painting the parts, please?
  8. A great set that really complements the Death Star playset... Please go ahead and put it up on LEGO ideas, I'd definately support it and buy it later on... GREAT work, indeed!
  9. Nice one! Looking good so far! I'd be very interested in your total cost, as I was offered a complete mint set for a little under 900€, which seem all right but is still a lot of money!
  10. Looks great! Congrats on finishing it! Any hints on your approach to completing this set?
  11. Got a nice used lot off a private seller yesterday... 4083 AT-AT 4500 Snowspeeder 8083 Hoth Rebel Troopers 8084 Snowtroopers 8089 Wampa Cave + Hoth Han Solo on a TaunTaun All for 135€ shipped... Built the whole stuff together with my family, missing about 15 parts and three Minifigs from the lot. Not too bad at all... Now we got a whole lot off things for a very nice battle of Hoth display together... (Already got some Troopers coming in via Bricklink order)
  12. This looks really awesome!
  13. I "misplaced" some parts during the build of the MF so I ordered them again, ending up with shiny new Technic beams now in my stockpile... With the great number of different parts alone it seems to be the true mission not to loose patience/nerve/oversight/your head or too much money with this project... As much as I'd love a completely original Falcon I'd never wanted to miss the experience and fun I had with bricklinking it and seeing it all come together from that gigantic pile of plastic parts... I'd also be interested in a sheet for the DS (II?) if its not too much trouble... Love to tackle this one as well...;-)
  14. Republic Gunship ordered online... (was eyeing it for some time now... For 80€ I just couldn't let it pass...)
  15. Whoa... That looks awesome! Is there more info on this? Perhaps even some instructions or a LDD? As much as I like the new wings on the new UCS Tie fighter and the connections to the "ball" I just love the far more aggresive looking plate-design for the cockpit, and the details are just wonderful!
  16. I'll wait for a decent discount (at least 20%) on this one... Rather getting the UCS X-Wing, Sandcrawler or even the Ewok Village first... (For a more challenging and fun build - might be a bit spoiled after building the Falcon and the Slave 1)
  17. Wow... Just wow! Thats what I call a great System scaled Tie Advanced! Looking very good!
  18. Supported both ships. Great build and overall just perfect look and proportions. I love the midi scale...
  19. Nice mod... Actually like it better than the original version! Well done!
  20. Bought the Battle of Endor Set 8038 used... curious about the AT-ST and what pieces are missing...
  21. Thank you very much! I,ll take a look into the list on the weekend... i reckon I already got half of the parts in my stock.
  22. I found the engine redesign with light blue 1x1 round plates posted by Scottish Dave extremely intriguing and far more movie accurate than any kind of fences before the Falcons thrusters... It also saves a fortune and looks imho absolutely smashing!
  23. Great Idea! I'll definately build a falcon for my Death Star, too... I also like you're shuttle. Clever design and a good size to still hande as a playset feature. really great stuff!
  24. Very nice build! I supported your project on ideas... But I think it would look a little more "lively" with a combination of dark bluish gray and black... The 10x10 dish is available in dbg and the black "eyes" would have a little more contrast against the body. Perhaps I'll try that in the near future to see what it looks like... Is there a parts list in .xml format for brickstock/bricklink?
