  1. If you want actual evidence then you're out of luck but it will be coming out later this year.
  2. apparently the rebels sets don't move as much as the others. Which is puzzling to me given the two huge freemaker sets which are going to be released. I wonder if people at lego have considered the possibility that the reason they aren't as popular isn't because it says "rebels" on the box, but because the sets themselves are pretty mediocre. Minifigures especially. Again, strange because there is plenty of interesting source material.
  3. Looks much better. I suggest that you get rid of the dark red wedge plates. Instead. Have a rectangular sections with studs up, and on the sides, have tiles that are staggered to create the correct angle
  4. This is going to be extraordinary. I agree, definitely go with a 3-2 taper, it might not be 100% accurate but i think extra strength is definitely worth it in this case. I really envy your skills with technic Lego, I'm absolutely hopeless with it, so I'm really impressed with the undertaking that this is. Your storage setup is beautiful btw
  5. It is definitely the millennium falcon, count on it
  6. This is correct. The super big set is a new Millenium Falcon
  7. Planned obsolescence. This way, lego can come out in a few years time and have an explanation for why everyone needs to buy the 10th version of every character. Star wars prints money for lego. If it can't be advertised as 'new', it's harder to get people to buy stuff that they don't need. If it wasn't a matter of profit but what's best for what people want, then the more advanced technology that's already available wouldn't be delayed. But that's another topic
  8. pretty sure that the teal (dark blue in Lego) officers (like "colonel datoo") is supposed to be colonel.
  9. obiwans order 66 was delivered by an at-te
  10. Looks decent. Really strange that they are still using white for what like the dozenth time? Usually Lego colours are only close enough or pretty close to what they're representing, but LBG is basically dead on. Extremely puzzling. A shame because if it was grey I would be more interested in buying it
  11. I mean....I guess, but what's the point of saying that especially if it's not adding any commentary or discussion about the film? All reading that could do for people is possibly reveal the ending to someone who hasn't seen it
  12. Yep. I have just over 700 at last count, about 350 are unique. Every time I think about it I am deeply ashamed...so I try not to think about it. Instead I just get more.
  13. For the bucket handles they're used to connect two bottoms of a plate together. Like this:
  14. Thanks. Go for it. I just started painting out of the bottle although I only did 1-2 coats of paint in most places except some where it chipped.
  15. Oh my goodness. I am a fool
  16. Number of pieces is not relevant at all really - how much more plastic is there in 700 6x8 plates than 700 1x1 studs and technic pins? A lot. When you look at a Lego set, ignore how many pieces there are, look at the weight. u-wing 75155 weight = 1180g y-wing 75172 weight = 840g U wing has 340g more plastic in the box. So it costs more. In general though the prices are inflated so Lego and disney get cuts as profit.
  17. Women wore pants plenty in the 70s...and even before then.
  18. Thanks very much. no problem! I look to forward to seeing it. Are you going to make it in the same colours or a different colour scheme?
  19. Okay, here's an LDD file. It's partially exploded but everything is there, except for the following: 4x http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=95344&name=Container, Bucket 1 x 1 x 1 Handle / Scooter Stand &category=[Container]#T=C in whatever colour is available. LDD doesn't allow the connection I used, so I put the bucket handles and buckets in the file. The buckets are just to mark where the handles should, but it's pretty straightforward anyway. 2x LBG http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=18677#T=S&C=86&O={"color":86}. The black pin with the ball, underneath the 3x12 white wedge plates, is where these pieces attach. I couldn't find them in LDD so the neighbouring pieces are floating. 4x black http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=23443#T=S&C=11&O={"color":11}. These attach to the clips on top of and below the hull. 2x black http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=15535#T=S&C=11&O={"color":"11"}. Couldn't find these in LDD either - the engine exhausts are just attached backwards instead of the right way around, these parts link the 2x2 round plates and the 1x1 bricks with stud. 2x LBG http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=983&name=Hand&category=[Minifig, Body Part]#T=S&C=86&O={"color":86}. These just go next to the trans blue cheese slope in the cockpit. Some other small notes: all parts in blue can be any colour. The 2x1 white tile and 1x1 white tile above the cockpit are attached by stickers so they're floating in the file. 20. Thanks! That's really flattering and of course I would love to see more in the flesh. I've started working on and LDD file and will post in here when it's done. Hahaha. Thank you. I have a high powerlevel when it comes to procrastinating. I do intend on finishing that ship, though. I wasn't completely happy with the 3 builds that I already posted, so I did some more work on those and told myself that they were finished so I put them aside. That was very minor cosmetic stuff. But I saw some better reference images and realised I needed to fix quite a bit more than that. So I'm going to take advantage of the fact that the utapau eta-2 is just a barebones version of the other 3 — i.e. it has no paint or stickers, so I will rebuild that ship to a proper standard and then decorate it. And I promise I will finally make either a breakdown thing or an LDD file of it for you when it's finished! (:
  21. Very nice. I am wondering though, how did you make such a great sticker for it? Particularly the 'blueprint style' representation of the ship. Do you do that via LDD, or how?
  22. Thank you very much. I think I will do that. (: Thanks. I am looking forward to that set.
  23. That bespin lando figure is a custom print or something. It's totally at odds wth the current art style. Fake leak.
  24. Thank you. Thanks. I totally understand about the paint, it isn't for everyone, purism and non purism is a subject of difference for lots of people. I am really glad to know that you both like the result!
