LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

It may be accurate to ESB but the figure is based on the Mandalorian and the freshly repainted armor which is consistently dark green on the helmet, jetpack and torso. I feel like LEGO should have picked one color or the other because as it is the figure is jarringly inconsistent color-wise. As far as the jetpack goes, I guess that's true but if there's any character that deserves a unique jetpack mold, it's Boba. Hell, I'd be happy with them bringing this piece back in an appropriate color and adding a couple other pieces to give it the proper tall missile. Minifigure Jet Pack with Nozzles and Stud -

So is it just me or are we LONG overdue for a new jetpack piece for Boba Fett. It's bothered me for years that they keep giving him the Jango Fett/generic Mandalorian jetpack when he's always had a more distinct design with a huge missile. Fingers crossed BoBF gives them an excuse to finally make a new mold. Also make his helmet and jetpack dark green because the more I look at the new figure, the more it bothers me. It's still an excellent figure but man LEGO, either make his helmet and jetpack dark green to match the torso print or make the torso print sand green to match the helmet and jetpack, don't split the difference which is exactly what you've done. That said I have a funny feeling this is the figure we'll get for every single BoBF set. I'd say LEGO Con at the latest so not too long to wait. -

Wow, I was expecting a Kraata-esque new mold, not a nightmare-fueled minifig head. I'm curious to see what they do for the body. Hopefully they use the Hero Factory minifigure style and not a normal minifig body because that would look awful. -

Wow, weird to see how many people here are WRONG! I'm Just kidding but to me, CW is VASTLY superior to Rebels. I liked it but it's mostly filler "conflict of the week" stuff with a couple of really solid arcs and a weird, messy ending. Bad Batch is consistently good so far but it's mostly been "conflict of the week" stuff and we're only 6 episodes in so I'll withold my placement of it until we get into the meat of the show with some solid arcs that I'm sure are coming. That said, I really don't have any interest in a UCS Republic Gunship, I'd rather get another system scale version. I wasn't able to afford any of the past versions when they came out but I'm at a point in my life where I easily can. Heck, if the fall wave wasn't so incredible I'd probably bricklink the last one. -

I'm very happy to see that the cell for Maul actually has a window to see his face, It appeared that it would be a flat grey sticker on a grey piece, glad that's not the case. I knew they would use that hair piece for Bo, it's the closest thing LEGO has and it works fine even if it covers the headband a bit. The Mandalorian fighter looks excellent and does everything you'd want it to do. The only thing that bothers me is the gap between the canopy and the fuselage, Ixhate it when they do that with and Star Wars set. Both sets look really good and I can't wait to get my hands on them! Hopefully hd renders of the rest of the sets drop soon, I need a better look at the new Boba Fett and Slave I! -

Claire's "can I talk to you're manager" hair piece is definitely the best fit for Bo Katan without making a brand new mold. After seeing the torso leak for Boba, it's even more strange to me that they didn't make the helmet and jetpack dark green. I suppose the printed details would get a bit lost but it would be more accurate. Hopefully they'll change it for BoBF. At least the helmet has a new print. I'm still super happy we're getting this version of Boba though! -

Sadly it appears there won't be a face print for Din. I see black under the helmet on all the figures of him. Boba, I really hope is a new face print. I'm sure it will be. The helmet definitely has a new print. I do wish they used dark green for the helmet and jetpack but it's not a huge deal. -

So after drooling... I mean analyzing the pictures, I noticed a couple things. One, they didn't give Maul the Monkie Kid hilt, really LEGO!? Also, the new Slave I appears to use a new 2x6 wedge plate, at least it's new to me! -

Slave I is Mandalorian based!!!! That makes me so unbelievably happy! The new Boba Fett looks incredible! He even gets arm printing, hell so does Din Djarin in every set he's in. Slave I looks incredible for its size, I'm on a mission to collect every LEGO Slave I so I was getting it anyway but now this set skyrocketed to the top of my list! I'm a diehard Boba Fett fan so I'm SO happy right now!!! This entire wave is even better than I expected! The Mandalorian throne is a nice little set and will make a nice display. The Trexler Marauder looks really good and I didn't realize we were getting so many Stormtroopers with it. I like the Mortar Trooper's mortar build. The Mandalorian Starfighter looks really nice, huge improvement over the original and the figure selection is amazing. Bo Katan is the standout for me but wow the new helmet on Gar Saxon looks great and reminds me that on top of all this awesomeness we're also getting a retailer exclusive Mandolorian forge! Moff Gideon's Lightcruiser looks fantastic and has an incredible minifig selection! I'm so happy with Fennec Shand especially. I'm disappointed that the Darksaber didn't get a better blade. Ninjago introduced the perfect katana blade with a shot bar connection a couple years ago. I expected the Darktrooper to be a bit more like a Super Battledroid or the Hero Factory minifigs but this works really well, too bad there's only one. -

WOW! The What If? set is fantastic! Uatu the Watcher minifig!? That's awesome. The head is way too small though, they 100% should have given him the bigfig Thanos head piece. I love how Tony's shiet is simultaneously a Black Sabbath reference and a Rock Raiders reference! Valkyrie looks good, I have the original so this is much less exciting to me but it's nice to get a variant. The Sakaaran Hulkbuster itself is really cool and the fact it can transform into a car(after popping the arms and legs off) is actually pretty cool. -

I think there's a very, very good chance the Ghost will be featured prominently in one of the upcoming D+ live action shows so a new Ghost is pretty much Inevitable. With the announcement of the first ever LEGO con and the specific nod to LEGO Star Wars, it seems like we're guaranteed to see the new sets by the 26th. Also between this and E3, news about the Skywalker Saga seems inevitable. -

A better comparison is the last Hulkbuster since they share identical builds for the majority of it. -

I was going to comment the same thing. I would LOVE to get a set in the future with Jungle Ben and a grown up Bumpy. That would be a nice recolor of the Ankylosaurus. That was easily my favorite part of season 2. I've seen a lot of complaints about the prices but I feel like people don't have a rational understanding of the value of the large dino molds. Take the Toro set for example. When you seperate things out and look at what you'd expect to pay for each chunk, the value proposition makes much more sense. The helicopter would easily be a $13-$15 set, throw in one of the figures, the truck would easily be $20 with a figure or 2 and that leaves about $10 for the Carnotaur. Considering I frequently see the original Carnotaur going for $26-$33 on bricklink, I'd say this set is a pretty darn good deal. -

Fossil set is $30, that's perfect and $50 for the Toro set is about what I expected so that works out just fine too. -

$40 for the Sanctuary II is perfect! October 1st sucks but between Star Wars and Marvel(and probably Harry Potter too), I'm not exactly going to be hurting for new LEGO sets. -

Wow these sets are great! It's too bad there's no new molds but the new colors are great! If the Carnotauros(I assume that's supposed to be Toro which is great to see) set is reasonably priced, I'll be picking it up. The last one was too expensive and I did not like the builds. This one has a decent helicopter and a really cool car! The T-Rex fossil is really clever and really cool at first glance, it's a little rough in spots but It's still a great little set and I applaud LEGO for doing something a bit more creative for this theme. More of this please! If it's reasonably priced I might pick it up. The boat set is great too, though I think the green on the Baryonyx is too bright. I think dark green would have been better but it's not terrible. Heck, even the 4+ set isn't bad! I also like that they're incorporating Camp Cretaceous though it's definitely weird to see Claire and Owen thrown in there. Then again, I haven't seen season 3 yet so maybe that happens or it'll happen in season 4 but I assume these sets are entirely made up because the movie got delayed. Between Marvel and Jurassic World, in a way I'm glad they were sorta forced to come up with an entirely new wave of sets because movies got delayed. It gave them the ability to make some really great sets! -

Wow didn't expect to see this randomly show up. It looks alright but the figures are quite uninteresting. At least it's another opportunity for people to get Vader with arm printing if they don't already have it. -

I quite like the Sanctuary II set but I wish they had gone a bit more into a Star Destroyer type of playset for it. The scale is just in such a weird spot. There seems to be some debate on the price of it but It looks to me like it's worth #40 at most. -

Dangit, I kept telling myself I didn't need the new Benatar but then I watched AustrianBrickFan's speed build of it and now i want it. I still think it's a crime they didn't include Drax and Gamora instead of Thor and and a Chitauri though. -

Brickset's review of the Iron Monger Mayhem has chang3d my mind in the set. I like it a lot more and will definitely get it just not day one for me. Man, the official product shots really don't do it any favors. It's still massively oversized and way too derivative of the last Hulkbuster set which was pretty awful. In hand the head doesn't look quite so oversized like it does in the renders. -

After they announced they were re-releasing Clone Commandos, I immediately thought they might be making a sequel or reboot about the Bad Batch! I feel like they're perfect for a game set during the Clone Wars. There's some new info about the Bo-Katan figure and the Mandalorian throne set. Bo sounds about how I expected minus the use of dark grey instead of silver or gunmetal but I guess it is a Clone Wars set, not Mandalorian. With the throne set, having a hidden compartment under the throne with a blaster sounds about right and I'm glad to hear a stained glass window is included and that there's a feature to throw a figure through. -

Yeah I feel like if they did Stilt Man in the MCU they'd make him more grounded and tragic, like a double amputee with advanced robotic legs who resorts to thievery because he can no longer do the job he used to or something like that and becomes resentful. Honestly, I wouldn't be opposed to something like that but it certainly wouldn't have the same inherent comedy about it. -

I just saw the Daily Bugle leal and all I can say is WOW. It looks absolutely incredible! Now I'm kinda glad it's goi g to be another year before PS5s are widely available because I have to have this set! Blade and Daredevil alone make this incredible but the build so, so good and absolutely love what they did for Doc Oc's arms. Green Globlin's glider could have been better but I love how he's bursting through the building. Firestar is also a nice surprise and it appears that's who people thought might be Spider-woman, that is unless she is incuded and is just obscured in this image. -

For one thing Drax is missing and so is Gamora and Nebula technically and Starlord doesn't have his helmet. No I wasn't expecting "Rhino and Lizard" you don't need to be a jerk about it sheesh. I just find the figures "meh" Idk, maybe I'm getting sick of the GotG or just the fact that many of them have basically had the same look since they were introduced with slight changes( I'm talking MCU not minifigs) ntm their figures have always been pretty well done to begin with. If they had included Drax and Gamora instead of Thor and a Chitauri I think I'd be happier with it.
