I love the new skirt print. She looks great!

A friend and I sorted a box today. I am impressed with this series, it is better than I expected, even after watching reviews. The egyptian queen is so pretty, and the bear is a lot brighter than I first thought. No real failures for me, though I do view the firefighter as a wasted spot. We both found the rugby player hardest to feel, with the ball being a similar size to the head.

If the choices are a re-release of the (IMHO) oversized Cottage and a Gingerbread house, I would much rather have the latter. That way the GWP house from a few years ago can be a playhouse for kid minifigs. I would be inclined to treat a gingerbread house as a Santa/Christmas grotto as opposed to a residential building with living Gingerbread folks. I have loved seeing the MOCs members here have made of full sized gingerbread houses over the years, so keen to see what Lego do with it.

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
sunhuntin replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Saw a pic on FB, and my initial reaction was it looks great! Then I did the price conversion on the estimated Euro price and my yes changed to a not likely. Looks like around the $600NZD mark, way too high for what it is. I do hope the price won't be that high, but still unlikely. Chip and Dale being dressed like that also says these are definitely based on cast members, not the classic characters, which isn't a bad thing, but doesn't line up with how I view the figs that have come before.- 961 replies

Comments on the pic say it is from that other "blox" company.

That is awesome! I love the wolf tail hanging from her jaws. I wonder if grandma is in there, too?

That fixed it! Thanks so much, TeriXeri!! I was able to redeem for the Mustang keyring, and grabbed a HP set while the free shipping for any value was still available.

I still can't get the new VIP page to load, just endless buffering. I have cleared my cache thinking that might help, but nope. I hope they get it sorted sooner rather than later. I do wonder how big a hit their S@H sales are taking right now.

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
sunhuntin replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
I hope there are no more Donald's and Daisy's for a while. After the CMF i think most people are "ducked out" and we have seen enough of them for a while. Clarabell and Horace would be awesome, or Pete. I have never been to a Park so don't know what characters are classicly associated with the train and station.- 961 replies

I am undecided on these. I am keen to add the figures to my displays, but would likely Bricklink those, unless they do something like Gru's house which I could then sandwich into a halloween display. I think they will sell ok. Minions are still popular in most countries.

I just had a thought that it would be cool to see Brickheadz landmarks, like Mount Rushmore and other famous landmarks based on people.- 238 replies

I am excited for this from a parts perspective, plus I also enjoy the original movie/source material. I just hope they give us the tie dye torso without the lanyard prints as well.

Here she is, and she looks amazing! Is the flame a new piece? I wonder what color the "brain brick" will be, or if she will have one? http://www.brickfinder.net/2019/05/09/lego-statue-liberty-40367-first-look/- 238 replies

BrickHeadz 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
sunhuntin replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh, that is exciting! Can't wait to see how she looks, and I hope she's a worldwide release and everyone will have a chance to own one. I think she will need to be taller by a couple of bricks to try and keep the proportions, and now I am wondering how they will do her arms properly.- 238 replies

Perfect. The closer photo of the face almost looks real, like he would blink at any moment.

Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
sunhuntin replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
Brick and Bricks on Facebook has a heap of new set photos. The donut shop set has the same propellor hat. I love the leather jacket torso print in the fun fair set. The fire set has a new mug print, looks like a chibi marshmallow with a flame on it. The woman's hair in that set looks massive, almost like if it was untied, it would be long enough to touch the ground. -
What a quirky character. Very nicely done.
-
Sweet as. I am not too worried about the numbers on the box, since the set inside will be the same. You are right, there will be a large number of #24 in circulation, and likely will be for some time as I don't think the set is a great seller right now. I could be wrong, and am happy to be corrected. Lego are replacing my faulty parts, which is good. Should be here in a couple of weeks.
-
@Dragunov2, what is the significance of the number on the box? Are they re-issuing with #25? Mine is a #24 also, but has been opened and built. Both of my stacks stick now and then. I tend to give them a wiggle and that frees them up. I did have a couple of issues with my set. Mickey's hip seam is off slightly, meaning his right leg is a bit shorter and appears to be skewed inwards. His printing on that leg is also off centre as a result. And one of the 6L white tiles has a black mark on it. I have contacted Lego, and the guy i spoke to said they would send out replacement parts.
