I agree. I also like that the local scalpers cannot just build many packs all with the same sought after fig or parts in them.

Packs with pink bear, chick and fairy have been seen at the shop in New Zealand. They are doing pre-packs currently. Until recently, it was pick your own as per normal.

It would have been nice to have themed sets for each of the different genres. The boombox is so crowded on my shelf due to the outliers having no where else suitable to go. Some of the last ones from series 2 don't even have studs to attach to and are just standing loose.

Such a shame. I am sorry VIdiyo has been canned, as I loved the sets and figs, and was thrilled to finally get the last two I needed for series 2.

Very amusing build, not all what I was expecting. The chicken has some wonderful character, very well done. Gave me a smile and a chuckle.

Found a nice clear pic of the all three, the pie one looks like a slice of birthday cake. The other two looks great, too, though I am not sure about the legs on the clown figure...

The pony girl has dental braces printing. Very cute.

The fig with the acorn hat is very cute, and I look forward to getting a few of him. Could be the start of a Cub Scouts type group or similar. I like enough of them that I will end up with the whole set, and multiples of some.

If they make the cottage and only have a couple of Dwarfs, it will hurt their sales quite a bit. Right now, I want it, but if they only include 2 or 3 of the 7, forget it. And they could do minidolls using the new "little kid" torsos. Fingers crossed they don't, as that is also a deal breaker for me.

Steamboat Willie was exactly the same, a myriad of colors inside. It made the build a lot easier and more interesting for me, as I have not much experience with Technic pieces and would have struggled a bit if they had used all the same color. I think the Titanic is the same, to make it a bit easier to follow along and more enjoyable. Awesome review, VBBN. Very much appreciated!!

Hopefully the torso will look better in person, from this pic it reminds me of a grandmother type. Since there are many gender swaps in this set, do we think the dragon is meant to be a girl, hence the color scheme?

So good to see a photo of them in real life, if that makes sense. I thought the dragon would be more blue, bit kind of like that is a paler shade.

I am tempted to go through them, but hoping a New Zealand site will get them... support local and all that jazz. Plus, Minifig Madness equates to $98NZD/set, which is a bit much.

The new monkeys from the safari sets don't look anything like chimps. I would rather see the one from the "Tarzan" CMF re-released, with a bit of special printing in the faces to make them more individual. There are two chimps that stand out in my memory from devouring her books as a teen... Flo and David Greybeard. There are others of course, like Flo's family, Goliath and more, but we will never get that many chimps in one set. It would also be nice to have Hugo van Lawick in the set as well.

OK, this is a dream come true!! I am a huge fan of hers. I hope they do her and the chimps justice. I wonder if they will do her as the young explorer, or as she is now? Too much to ask, but would love the chimp figures to have individualised printing so they could represent some of the characters from her original group back in the 60s.
