[MOC] No more Dark Blue! ;-) (ÖBB 4010, WLB "Köln" tram, ...)
Pelzer117 replied to Brickstone_City's topic in LEGO Train Tech
@Brickstone_City I'm blown away. 😱 For several years now, I've been thinking about how to create the front of the 4010. And whether dark blue is the right colour. Honestly I was tinkering around with 7-8 wide 😉 But you managed it in 6w! 👏🏻Respect! I'm absolutely thrilled and, if I am allowed, I'll be copying a thing or two. -
TrixBrix to start doing custom wheels and rods
Pelzer117 replied to Vilhelm22's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Yeah they just confirmed it at the comments of the YouTube Video. 😞 BUT Ben (Big Ben Bricks) said on his page, that: “Many people have reached out to me with interest in Big Ben Bricks. In the coming weeks I hope to have more information on what that transition may look like.“ So there is still HOPE -
TrixBrix to start doing custom wheels and rods
Pelzer117 replied to Vilhelm22's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Based on how the wheels look, I don't think they are injection-molded parts. Multicolored wheels would probably be too much effort. On the other hand, there is no information anywhere about how the wheels are manufactured. Or did I miss that Information? -
TrixBrix to start doing custom wheels and rods
Pelzer117 replied to Vilhelm22's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Am I mistaken, or are these just 3D-printed wheels? Because Big Ben wheels had injection-molded wheels, which I prefer -
@German Luigi: I've just been on the train and passed the original wagon (also with 2 containers) 😅 So I can rightly say: very well done 👍🏻 But I would build the upper frame with tiles inverted, instead of normal plates, unfortunately there are none in blue (at least from Lego)

Fx Bricks (Michael Gale) announces Fx Track system
Pelzer117 replied to HoMa's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thank you @Ashi Valkoinen Hmm. I definitely have no experience as a “professional”, i.e. as an exhibitor (like at BBST), but I wouldn't consider the lower speed to be a problem. Most people want to see longer trains anyway, not “faster” trains. Above all, I see the same problem as with the real railroad: there are not many “fast lines” available 😅 But I would be interested in the opinion of the community -

Any fresh news from BSBT? Too sad I didn't make it. 😥 -
@zephyr1934: Totally agree! 👍🏻 @Darkkostas25: man, you did an awesome job! And thanks a lot for sharing on Bricklink! 🙏🏻 The Behemoth is my absolute favourite! I need to check the original, but I imagine M/MS-size wheels would fit better 🤔 For motorization of cargo trains, I prefer the buggy motor

[Revised MOC] DSB Litra EA (8-wide electric locomotive)
Pelzer117 replied to dtomsen's topic in LEGO Train Tech
That's right. I thought they were that easy. At least trans clear is available from other manufacturers. Thank you for sharing your solution! Edit: wow! The fictional loco looks also nice. Do you have pictures? Yeah that's also my experience and why I am planning now with these buggy motors for modern electric trains. But with other energy sources, especially regular hubs, the power woun't be enough, at lest for 2 motors.- 23 replies

Absolutely amazaing! A real masterpiece! Especially the lighting! But wouldn't it be easier to cut trans clear/red flex cables than bars?? Did you ever test buggy motors?- 23 replies

Fx Bricks (Michael Gale) announces Fx Track system
Pelzer117 replied to HoMa's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I think the same. FX bricks should focus on products who are „especially“ for 9V. Like the motor, metal wheelset or the 9v cables. For all other stuff, there are enough suppliers. They can sell bogies if they want. But let other produce them. Molds are expansive! -
Wow! Never thought I wold be thrilled by new lego window parts. 👍🏻
-
Thank you for your Feedback. So I think I will give them a try. PS: maybe a product idea for HA-Bricks?
-
Thank you! As I can see, they are 3D Printed. Did you test the resilience / endurance? To be concrete: can they haul a long train or will they break?

Help needed designing front end - French Train

Maybe you find some inspiration here: Or here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-195451/copernicus508/dr-vt-137-type-stettin-8w/#details -
Thanks! Finally good news!
-
Wow. That's indeed a huge difference! Nice done 👍🏻 I personally think, this size of loco needs the XXL wheels, but it still works with the XL

4565 Goods Train Set (Freight Train) Extreme MOD (WIP)
Pelzer117 replied to Pelzer117's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thank you for the feedback and the link to the GM loco! There are really some similarities. Thanks! Danke! That was the idea "This is the way (of MOCer)!" Thank you! Thanks! Yeah I don't know why it is so complicate to move the hoses. But maybe I have not enough patience for it Thank you all for yor feedback. This motivates me to do a little more (pictures follow asap). -
Fx Bricks (Michael Gale) announces Fx Track system
Pelzer117 replied to HoMa's topic in LEGO Train Tech
However, @michaelgale I would appreciate a performance similar to wheels with ball bearings. Perhaps you could adapt the mold of the wheel holders so that ball bearings could be "clipped in"? Just a thought. -
Hello there, after the "Mod" of my first passenger train set - #4560 - I thought a few days ago, it would also be aweseome, to "modify" all other "old" trains, that I have from my childhood. So, what do you think? PS: I didn't adjust or complete the hoses (handrails), because it's damn complicated in studio.

Fx Bricks (Michael Gale) announces Fx Track system
Pelzer117 replied to HoMa's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Ooooops. Ok sorry you're right! @Stereo: from my point of view, I was only planning to use it as a "power source" for charging the battery box(es) anyway. A connection from the power pickup to a PF or PU motor makes no sense from my point of view. There you might wait for the FX motor. But I was wrong before too. So is there a use case, of Power Pickup single axle with a PF/PU motor connected? -

Pelzer117 replied to HoMa's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I think this won't be a Problem. If you view this video, you will se he didn't have any connection problems with a single axle. So there shouldn't be a problem with the FX axles as well. -

Found this on Youtube. So yes there is absolutely a market. But FX Bricks Solution will be better I assume. But I still hope for an „advanced“ plug n play version with ball bearings
