Very interesting. But I assume the main difference is, that this guy operates under US legal and HA Bricks under European. And so far as I know, its totally legal in the US to โmodifyโ things. Btw.: does anyone know how HA Bricks will come back? With Go Bricks or so?

Wow, there are some good entries there. Thanks for the Information, I gave my votes ๐๐ป

Fx Bricks (Michael Gale) announces Fx Track system
Pelzer117 replied to HoMa's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Wow. Thanks for the Information. But there I miss the plug n play way (attaching wires is in fact not as complicate, but I am still too lazy for it). So now put yours and Michaels ideas together and everyone will be happy ๐ -
Fx Bricks (Michael Gale) announces Fx Track system
Pelzer117 replied to HoMa's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Yes! Finally Fx Power is on the Horizon. Just One thought to the metal wheel set. How good will it roll compared to wheels with bearings? Or would it be an idea for Fx to include bearings in this wheel set? -
Really nice build! Only one point: it seems you use the Standard L #9 train wheels from Lego. I would prefer the XL #11 wheels for the loco and M #7 (or similar size) wheels for the tender. I think the Mould King Version used that wheel sizes too.

Mould King has also the XXL wheels, at least at their Orient Express

Can the devs please delete this topic, to avoid more heart attacks? ๐

Wouldn't say so. If the last Ideas sets show us one thing, then clear that the original submit and the final set must not look like the same ๐
-
YES! I will wait for the "Mods" solutions of the Masterbuilders. But I am afraid, THIS needs much more modding than the crocodile.
-
@M_slug357: sad to say, but you are dam right. I am honestly total dissapointed from the released set. Made my day!
-
Yes, but I am waiting until it is cheaper ๐ What I am also thinking: rebuild the Mould King Trains with #13 XXL Wheels (except the Hogwarts, there the #11 XL are ok, in my opinion).
-
Sadly this seems to be true
-
Still no sign. Shouldn't it be revealed today? Maybe it will be really delayed?

I know we shouldn't reply to old posts, but to finally answer the last post, just google: โLego train bearingโ. You will find inbetween many Solutions: Researches like this ready mounted bricks from HA-Bricks or from bricktraindepot or โHow-Toโ Videos like this one from Thomas. I hope this will help others too.

Please NO!!! I am currently counting the days until the first leaks/Photos show up. I paused some MOC ideas to wait for, if Lego brings new parts / ideas for at this set. I dont want to wait until next year ๐. PS: even Mould King has inbetween released an Orient Express

For me, it looks like a Plate, Modified 1 x 8 with Door Rail (4510) in red, with slopes on it. I tried to use this on my Scotsman MOC, but wasnt satisfied.

I thought about it for a long time. Should I show the model only when it is really finished, should I build it first in real etc. etc.? But since I don't have too much experience with MOCs and the availability of parts is currently a reason for me to wait a bit, I decided to share the current WIP (work in progress) status with you. I "build" on your feedback The model: The story: The pictures: And here is a picture from the "inside". It is planned for up to 2 motors:

4560 Railway Express (Passenger Train) Extreme MOD
Pelzer117 replied to Pelzer117's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Update: Since I saw the first pictures of the new in-progress Railjet 2 with the new low-floor cars, I had the idea to rebuild the 4560 more in this direction and still keep the original style and design. I found some inspiration here in the forum (NSB Class 73). This helped me to go in the right direction. At first I tried to use only the narrow windows, or only the big ones in a row, or even without the blue stripes on the roof. As usual, there were a lot of try and error: But I just can't help myself. Somehow the original color scheme fascinates me. So I tried to keep the TLG design. In the end, I tried to reuse as many elements from the 4560 as possible, but still create a reasonably appealing and realistic train. What do you think? Pic1: one side with 2nd class and bord restaurant in the middle Pic2: other side with 1st class (yellow stripes), "b unit" (don't know if this is corerct) and the other side of the bord restaurant -
Thorsten, you have stolen my thoughts ๐ But yes, I fully agree! Incredible work! Dave, which parts did you have to change for the XL drivers? Sure, โnormal onesโ without technic skills like me cant build such an incredible realistic train, but at least maybe I am allowed to modify it also with XL drivers and zephyrs rods ๐

[MOC] Virtual - 4561 upgrade to locomotive and Club Car
Pelzer117 replied to Szubi's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Nice to see another point of view for this set. I dont know why, but the original design still impress me. Here you can find my try to โModโ it. -
Yes. Absolutely YES. This is how it should be. If this would be a Remake set, shut up and take my money. Cant whait to see the classic Santa Fe colour version. Well done. Really.
-
You are absolutely right. And yup, as Tube Map shared, THAT'S a station I would buy! But to be honest, the last stations were also "OK". For example 7997 or 60050. But the new one is, ahm, ugly.
-
OK, good to see, that some of you like the passenger train. Hopefully this will LEGO motivate to keep the good things. My personal oppinion: Freight train Brick built cockpit "fresh" design realistic details low-floor platform trailer For me, the freight train is the favourite. I like the design, because it reminds me of a Siemens Taurus. Yes the windscreen is crap. Here I personal would prefer the solution like many other MOCs have done it. For example. But I think TLG had this as inspiration for the front So for me the front screen is the only bad thing on the freight train. And I only say this, because I ignore the trailers. The only trailer, that I like is low-floor platform trailer. Passenger train We finally don't have a molded part cockpit anymore We finally have doors and we finally have low-floor platforms again But then how the heck can you design such a wasabi green monstrosity!!!! ๐ฑ๐คข I hope in Asia and for all who love Shinkansen like trains, this set goes well. But for me, even the original 4560 looks better! Even if it had no doors! I will definitely look for MOCs which will create the front more like the 4560 or the 10233 Horizon Express. At least, finally new trains.

4560 Railway Express (Passenger Train) Extreme MOD
Pelzer117 replied to Pelzer117's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thank you all for the very positve feedback! OMG. My topic was on the Eurobricks frontpage! THANK YOU! @Toastie: it almost took me over 2 years to finish it. You can see it on the history trials, this really was my first - more serious - try for a train MOC/MOD after the dark ages. So thank you for the flowers. @zephyr1934: thank you for your comments. I edited my topic and I hope it is now easier to see the main theme.
