  1. This is a great set. I like how the walls are built up around the outside. There are so many useful pieces you could use on this set to build other structures. I also like having the two oar boats 5 blue coats and an admiral. Duke
  2. 3/5 Cheap way to add pirates . Otherwise the pieces are not all that useful. Duke
  3. 5/5 This is a great midsized set. There are many pieces useable to make larger forts. There is a good amount of people in it too and it came with a cannon. I just wish it came with red coats instead. Duke
  4. 5/5 This is a great ship. She is the largest of the non-pirate. I am not a big fan of how the rigging comes into the middle of the ship rather than the sides, but hey it
  5. I gave this set a 5/5. I bought this set in hopes of using it in the future to fool pirates the same way they did in Master and Commander. One day the Dame du Loup may get fooled by this very raft giving me the weather vane. Duke
  6. I totally agree with my bro here. The armory should be smaller than the main fort. I can
  7. If you look closely at this picture you can see a skylight behind the steering wheels. It is even funtional, giving light to the inside of the rear cabin. How cool is that? The barrel on the top of it is how the ship is steered and it also turns the two steering wheels in front of it. *sweet* Duke
  8. ZCerberus Excellent fort! *y* *y* This new fort will be a great improvement over the old one. I like how you used the white slope pieces on the walls to make an indent and the overall color scheme of the fort. I also like the detail of the rocky area around the fort. I think the color of the gray figures looks good. Are there going to be cannons coming out of the lower holes? This is very true for most every Lego fort out there. The real forts of those days were quite powerful carrying many and very large cannons. In most cases a good fort should be able to easily fight off several large ships. *sweet* Duke
  9. Bonaparte I like what you have done with the BSB. *y* *y* The second deck and the additional cannons really help out the original set. The only suggestion I could make is if you wanted to, you could make some smaller MOC cannons or carronades to go above the non-MOCers. *sweet* Duke
  10. Bonaparte You are continually making a magnificent ship even better. I am impressed as to how this ship is turning out. I too may have to "steal" some of your ideas. I like how the stern looks with the way you used the prefab hulls. Where is your folder? Do you have a flag I could use for Great Britain from around 1800?
  11. Captain Attack Nice ship so far! *y* Like others said, you seem to be a quick learner and are very resourceful. You are doing an excellent job building a pirate ship with the resources available. Keep up the good work and welcome aboard the Pirate Forums. *sweet* Duke
  12. Congratulations Bonaparte on your promotion. You have been a valuable asset to this website. Keep up the good work, and I wish you the best of luck. Duke
  13. Here is a mortar me bro designed. This can also be found at the MOC cannon index. I too would like to build a bomb in my fleet, and this is how I plan to build my mortar. I hope this helps. Duke
  14. Your ship is Magnificent! :'-) I like your tumblehome effect and castles too. The entire thing looks very proportionate. Excellent work Bonaparte. *sweet* She shall prove to be formidable at sea. Duke
  15. Wow! I must have missed your latest picture. I see you have done some vast improvements Mr. Tiber. *y* *y* I can
  16. This is to say the least a wonderful MOC! *y* *y* I really like all the buildings. I, like many, especially like the working windmill. The horse stable and the dormer on the warehouse are fine pieces of work too. I hope you don
  17. Very nice Vessel! *y* *y* I am fond of the Imperial Flagship and will also be building a very modified version. I especially like the rear of your ship and the use of blue shudders. The cannons are a bit closer to each other than what I would have done, but a very nice vessel indeed. The white railing looks nice and I like how the rest isn't overly blocky in the process of building it up. *sweet* Duke
  18. Overall I think you are making a very nice vessel. *y* *y* I like the color scheme, but does the real ship have yellow on the sides? I am glad you are putting more space between the cannons, as I feel that will make it more realistic. *sweet* If I were to be picky here are a few things I would change. As you heard from others the front is somewhat blocky and facets could help a great deal. As for the hull you could add some inverted slopes whether it be 1x2x3 or 2x2x3, or whatever, closer to the bottom to get the tumblehome effect. Then maybe some regular slopes to bring it back in if you have the space. From your first pictures the forward mast could go further forward moving the capstan behind it. I agree with Aaron Morse that the 4 x 4 round pieces under the rear mast don
  19. Mr. Tiber You are building a nice vessel. *y* *y* I am curious to see what it looks like in some updated pictures. I don
  20. I had the same issue with having a short bowsprit when I was building the Xebec. All I did to legthen it was add this piece from the Star Wars B-Wing . Then I added a black lance to further lengthen it.
  21. You have an excellent ship. I really like how you kept the hull size to cannon ratio realistic. *y* *y* Some people seem to try to cram as much gun-power onto a ship as they can. I don

I also have quite a few castle sets, including all the Dragon Masters and some others. I also have several Western sets, but mostly just the big ones.
  23. Since the Islanders represented by Lego seem to have paint, this MOC may benefit from painting the sail. I may later paint the sail and further mimc the original set, Islander Catamaran #6256. *sweet*
