Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Simple answer would be that they likely wont try and make the Captain America outfit new and will give us a bunch of other new characters to go along with him in the sets As for Cap, he'll probably become the next 'Iron Man' in that we'll get him in every set, with one variant potentially for an army builder or expensive set. Similar to how Iron Man was so easy to get in this wave. Depends really how many sets we get for Civil War --- Also, anyone have a link to the mixel scale version of the Hulkbuster from a while back? -
So with the site beginning to start getting ready to update, do we have a confirmed release date of the sets? Found some sites qouting August and a store that is selling the sets online in July (around the 20th) is it like a mid-July update we should be expecting?

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

I doubt Cap will get a helmet until several years ahead... chances are his Civil War outfit will be the same as in AoU. Iron Man seems more likely to get a suit variant than Cap. As for thoughts on the exclusive figure, little bit disappointed as despite it being an amazing figure it has more detail than all the other suits so will be iffy to have it next to them. Its good for an exclusive, but they could have chosen a lot more better characters to do than just Iron Man -
Vakama, is that you? But yeah, impressive work on digital designing, and quick also. Any chance of doing the walker? :3 I've made two comments, both expressing distaste in very clear bullying such as calling someone a jerk. I would have moved on immediately from the first comment, however had to response to someone supporting the person calling people jerks and clarifying what has happened for them. Thats all i've done recently, so not sure why you believe their is a chance of me being banned for sticking up for someone is clearly being bullied. The only reason this conversation has gone more than a single comment is because i have to clarify for people who desire to join the conversation who didnt read or understand the situation and say things like what you have just said which dont contribute to the conversation in any form, or like the other comment, support the person bullying other users Their is no arguement going on, it was just me doing the same as you were, asking for a civil discussion and for users to actually be friendly while sticking up for a user who was being called a jerk and bullied over the last few pages :L

As i said, didnt want to get into this. Already reported it and hopefully it will be dealt with, i just could'nt sit here and watch a user experience such rudeness and have everyone else side with the abuser. This is not something that should be occuring at all, it is clearly directed at the member now and not the opinion as he calls the member a jerk and generally doesnt value him as an equal member of the community. My comment was just asking for less personal targetting of members. DeeVee could have responded more nicely to the user in any of his comments, yet ends up claiming MakutaOfWar is a jerk. At the moment your comment is generally supporting that calling members jerks is acceptable, maybe you didnt realise he said that which is why i'm giving you benefit of the doubt, but that is the stance you've took in this comment. It seems DeeVee's comments to MakutaOfwar come across as the following; "You can have an opinion, but yours is wrong because you used a random term. Using this term justifies me calling you a jerk and not being respectful to you. I know more because i experienced a course that means i have the only valid opinion on the forum, unless you also did this course then your opinion doesnt count. I'm going to list my opinions as factual without evidence and then be rude to you for providing your opinions if they dont match with mine. Its alright to be rude to other people because this is an open-forum and i am allowed to harshly critique peoples opinions and themselves despite claiming it is wrong for that user to do the same to the comic" You should be able to search back through the comments for the precise times when he says each different aspect of that, its not hard to find. DeeVee's comments are not how a civil or friendly discussion should work, especially when MakutaOfWar says that the style of discussion is causing issue, that he feels targetted; and then is called a jerk and told that he can have criticisms, just not the criticism he is presenting. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with either of the members opinion, because it worrying to share opinions now without the risk of being spoken down to and targetted. Its just the idea that one member can call another a jerk for presenting an opinion and generally talk down to that user is disgusting and should'nt be happening. Might end up watching the rest of it at some stage then :3 I suppose its just difficult for me to get into a new animation style. Grown accustom to seeing certain levels of animation quality and set a bar where i tend to avoid any animation below a certain point. I'm not sure how RvB aspects would be adapted if it ever became like a Bionicle series, given the idea was that the game came first. Little confused about what you mean, or do you just mean the idea of replicating the action in animated form?

Not sure which i like better, though gravitating to the first one due to eye eyes and the second one due to the bulkyness. Any chance of having the middle version of the bulky second version with the head and eyes of the first? :3

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
To an extent, however having a non-spoilery tag saying "Here i voice my potential spoilery thoughts on the movie relating to the amount of Ultron's" or "Here i talk about the accuracy of sets" could help those who want to read certain aspects but not be spoiled. Not seen any movie spoilers so far, but i do agree that people should be wary when posting anything movie related. When the suit is not being worn by a person you can put the black head inside and stand it up as if the suit is hung somewhere. Similar to how when the Ant-Man suit is not being worn by a person. Think he is intentionally removed from the box art because (potential spoilers) Personally i felt that set, due to the heart breaker, is the better set. also the price being cheaper. The Sandman set is only really good for the Sandman figure. All the other figures look like they are minimally detailed. -
The amount of random opinions you've listed as factual in the last few comments is pushing it. You have no source to back your opinions as being facts yet you listed them as factual and when asked for facts you didnt provide them. you've pestered the guy so much he feels targetted. Hence his comment asking for a polite discussion, to which your response is to call him a jerk? I mean, what the hell man? You say 'feel free to air opinions' and then you spend several pages saying he cannot without having experienced an art course and that he cannot criticise something because people put effort into it, that he cannot criticise on certain aspects because its unfair, that he cannot disagree about the quality or say that animation in one style feels visually cheaper than another, etc... You've spent so much of the last few comments saying he can speak and then immediately saying he cannot speak his opinions in the next paragraph. I was going to avoid getting into this given the prior interactions we had in the confinement and the warning that if either continue their would be action. Though I feel so sorry for MakutaOfWar that he cannot voice an opinion without you targetting him for it simply based on a piece of terminology he used. Its upsetting he had to experience this sort of unfairness and non-civil discussion, so i felt the need to respond. Personally not a fan of RWBY's animated style which has prevented me seeing more than a couple of episodes of the show

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ok, seen the movie and have some general accuracy comments; Only Ultron variants in order are the following; As for set accuracies/inaccuracies; As for thoughts on the movie; - Better than the first in my view, very quick film that flew past. Some scenes were random and made the first part of the movie feel like a collection of scenes. Some scenes from trailers missing, feels like they had a lot more that has been cut. Gets better during the later acts of the film despite falling for a few cliches. Some incredibly beautiful looking scenes, kind of like the final encounter with Ronan in GOTG. Ending will annoy many... -
The question asked was about multiple winners, not multiple prizes. They acknowledge multiple winners can happen but didnt acknowledge the fact the winner recieved two prizes and the potential to win two more prizes due to being a winner twice. Definitely going to be getting all of these for parts anyway, but i cant help compare them with the Star Wars sets. Sure a licensed theme would have better sets, but still. Definitely going to be modding a lot of the sets by combining them with the Star Wars builds. As for the box art, i wonder if Basher being closest to the temple means anything or is just for showing off a new box art... Worth noting the furnaces in the forge are also powered up so maybe someone is already their...

To an extent they can give it to whoever they want, but when it conflicts with the rules they wrote that is where i see an issue. Its not that they owe anyone anything. I would just like a competition from Lego that actually is well planned and executed for once and follows the rules. If that was the intention its not written that way. Eh, i suppose i'm just not as use to witnessing the sillyness of a Lego competition having been away for a while. I mean, their is always the legendary life-size Visorak competition where Lego never actually revealed the winner, but other than that situation i hadnt experienced any Lego competitions prior to the MOC contest and this BionicleMaskHunt. I guess everyone else is used to this sort of thing at this stage... just will take me some time to accept that Lego competitions will always suck. I'll stop mentioning it now because everyone else has accepted it, but its just disappointing that this will likely be a consistant factor in Gen 2 Interesting title, guessing its just a way of re-telling the story of the Mask Makers and the three main masks... alternatively its the Toa getting their masks. Either way, nice to see a graphic novel coming soon :3

Even if they had wrote the idea that the weeks were seperate and that it was counted as a seperate competition in the rules, which they have not, it still breaks the rules by giving out two prizes to the same winner when specified they should only be elligible to recieve one. Thats two prizes, clearly against the rules of the competition even if they somehow allow someone to win twice. Winning twice would'nt matter as much if they only got one prize from it, but nope, they get two prizes and two chances to win a gold mask. Also... for something chosen by judges, you think they'd be kind enough not to allow someone to win multiple times considering it makes it incredibly unfair on other entrants. Whats to stop emsa408 from winning a third or fourth time... nothing (Also despite Lego mentioning the facebook entires have been seen... we still have no winning Facebook entries and its week 3... so thats 18 winners from twitter and instagram only) Ok, that explains it

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Part of me is just screaming at the scale being all weird compared to the size he is in the trailer. :p Would be interested to see how that turns out, you planning on a custom Daredevil figure? -
It is very clearly designated the same competition. The rules specify the competition as covering all weeks and list the weeks of the competition. It never refers to them as being seperate competitions and they all use the same entry method. They all share the same rules and they all occur within the timeframe of 30th March 2015 to 10th May 2015. Whether entries from one week are automatically accepted for another or have to be resubmitted doesnt factor into the pre-written rules. So Lego is violating their own rules and is knowingly doing so. Companies shouldnt make a legally binding terms and conditions between themselves and those who enter their competitions and then proceed to break said terms and conditions with knowledge that doing so is breaking the terms and conditions. Sure they have rules that essentially make excuses for some of the more 'iffy' aspects (2.7/2.9) which enable completely ignoring all Facebook entries (3 weeks and not a single Facebook entry has won... only twitter and instagram) however when the rule is so obvious that people can easily qoute them on which rule they broke (2.8) then its something that should'nt have happened. Side note 1; I dont view you as having a personal vendeta and i understand you value the facts above all else and just generally want to have a consistent conversation where we are all up to date. Its just you mention things like this and its just confusing. Combined with your last post it feels like you are making excuses for Lego clearly violating a rule in the terms and conditions without actually having familiarised yourself with the terms and conditions. Maybe i am incorrect about this as obviously i dont know for sure whether you have or have'nt read them. Its just when you mentioned the idea of it being a seperate competition each week, which doesnt make sense given the terms and conditions, it just confuses me... Just trying to understand here because your opinion seems a little clouded, as far as i can tell the general jist is; You have complaints about the competition prior, but rather than choose to voice those complaints and potentially help fix issues like this in the future... you are getting annoyed about the 'incessant complaining' consisting of ten comments on this page alone, two of which are your own in a very recent discussion in which you seem to support that Lego can do no wrong and that it has to be a flaw on my understanding of the rules. While also believing its a tad over the top to complain about competitions, despite having complaints yourself which you are not bringing up because... Side note 2; Maybe you are also including the prior comments about the issue with the moc contest and others along with myself mention the poor handling of the facebook entries to raise awareness for people hoping to enter... however all these still have the purpose of raising awareness and generally getting the issues sorted. The lack of people bringing up these complaints to Lego is likely the main issue with why we still have terribly run competitions that end up seeming really unfair for members. The facebook entries are still not counted, the twitter entries get priority and the instagram users sometimes get ignored completely also. The handling of the competition is a complete mess and personal rage at that aside (despite entering about 20 entries the first week and now being told they are pointless), i'd still like it fixed before the next competition comes along and its even worse.

It was not made clear or even mentioned as that aspect is listed nowhere amongst the rules or terms or conditions. "2.8 Competitions must be entered as per any instructions set out for the competition in question on the LEGO websites and channels. Participants can enter the competition with multiple entries, however, they will only be eligible to win one prize." This person has won, been actively acknowledged as winning twice and is being rewarded a second prize. This not only violates their own rules, but it also limits the chance of other entries winning.

Also, Lego have now decided to state the following. When asked whether entries from a prior week would be accepted in the next week; "Entries are considered only from the week they're submitted" I did ask and they clarified they mean only valid in the week submitted So... much... RAGE Essentially introducing a brand new rule two-three weeks into the compeititon that is not specified in the terms and conditions that means they have been ignoring all the prior enteries for each consequetive week. So all the enteries submitted in any prior week are pointless now ¬.¬

Yep... so they know that person won already, and they are still choosing them as a winner and giving it to them again anyway Great job Lego Edit; So according to my calculations that means that person wins 2 Toa automatically (Pohatu and Kopaka?) Plus an addition 2 x 1 in 6 chance of getting a golden mask.

Calling foul on the competition. People are winning multiple times... surely this should'nt be allowed. So much going wrong with this competition, people winning multiple times, entire sites being ignored, rules not being specified, entries being ignored or not being counted. Especially considering that due to winning in two different weeks that gives them twice as high a chance to get one (or even two, given they can have the same winner multiple times) golden masks in the final draw. Surely its unfair on other fans if the same person can win multiple weeks ¬.¬

So pretty much all the stuff relating to time that has been the only uniquely focused on thing in the comics, animations and information release so far, you view as irrelevant and not part of the story or relevant in any way. The whole time aspect is important to the story, whether most people notice that now or not. As for 'further information' the writer of the animations, when asked about the story, expressed worry that not enough focus had been made on the idea of time passing and the general idea of the current protectors being descendants of those that laid Ekimu to rest. As such, if the writer is concerned about not enough focus being made on the idea of time, then its probably important to the story more than just backstory. "The story states that at least a thousand years have passed, and thus several generations of villagers. This is also why the legend talks about passing the prophecy. So the protectors we see in the present are descendants of the ones laying Ekimu to rest. The 'aeon past'-thing was actually toned down - perhaps too much, as it seems to have been missed by many." Its essentially Dragon Bolt's function with some minor tweaks. Ended up replicating it back when we got the last batch of pics, ends up working pretty well.

Maybe not the core theme but definitely a massive focus with many aspects of the story revolving around time and the passage of time, not sure why you didnt spot all the refrences... then again their are some that i missed because their are so many. List of refrences to time in new series; - "We dont have TIME tahu" (Followed by pointing at the Vahi symbol) - Vahi appearances - Temple Of Time - Mask Of Time (A mask used to summon the Toa from time) - Summoned from a different Time (Time Travel) - Focus on the idea of Time passing (Ancient City that we see thousands of years ago and then in present day) Having seen all the animations, the Vahi appears about 10+ times. While its considered an easter egg, one does question why that easter egg would be chosen. The Vahi being referred to constantly as 'The Mask Of Time' in Legends Of Metru Nui would mean most kids who are getting into the series OR older fans of Bionicle would probably end up seeing the movies and associating time with it.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I kind of agree with Super Goblin that the information can be considered a spoiler, even if names are not included it still describes events that you know will now happen in the show. On the otherhand though... All the episodes of Daredevil has been out for 10 days and they didnt mention names, plus the comment was relevant to someones question about the maturity of the show. -shrugs- -
I think its also to remind people of the core theme 'Time' even if its very on-the-nose. I mean, eventually we are probably going to learn where the Toa came from or have their memories return and their arrivial in Okoto concerns Time Travel being summoned by a Mask Of Time at the Temple Of Time. In TLG's view; - Easiest way to remind young fans of that is to refrence Time constantly to the point where they associate the new Bionicle with Time :P - Easiest way to remind older fans would be to refrence something concerning Time that occured in the movies, as the fans are most likely going to remember them as they were not as complex as picking a segment of the overall story

In terms of the roles the Protector Elders they serve the same function as the Turaga, passing down advice and leading the villagers. The younger villagers are similar to the Matoran, mostly just living normal lives and needing rescuing. In that extent they are similar. Though personally i'd rather see new characters or new versions of the characters than just making them the same, the only small desire to see the two two lines connected that i think would be helpful is that it'd be a good twist later down the line that would easily allow for a lot of prior universe stuff to be re-introduced while maintaining the same characterisation and appearance, which would essentially mean we could end up getting the older characters represented in CCBS. Though thats only a small desire and nothing substantiated
