Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd guess it would be the trio facing off against Thanos. Scarlet Witch facing off against the Chitauri. Black Panther running through the segment of Avengers Compound towards the van with the Red Gauntlet - Ant-Man microfig would be coming out of a portal in the back of the van ready to take the Gauntlet into the Quantum Realm to get it away from Thanos (Or he's arriving on scene to help) Shuri only had the specific outfit with face dots during the Black Panther movie, so it'd be mostly based on that I think. Chitauri could just be added for play (An opponent for them to fight) and to sorta tie it in. It would be neat to have a few of the Hammer Drones, but feel they don't have much appeal as they did not really have interesting scenes other than the introduction and the stand-off, then they got blown up pretty quickly. Would prefer giving us Iron Man helmets for them and just having those be four new variant suits for Iron Man figure collections. Whiplash Mark 2 was a kinda bland design honestly, it's primarily a variant of the Hammer Army Drone suit with some changes. I'm not particularly interested in a figure of it for the sake of replicating movie scenes when it had about 1 minute 30 seconds of screentime and most of it was maskless. It'd be something to say that I've got all variants of the Iron Man MCU villains, but I doubt it'd be a figure I'd be desperate for. Maybe Lego can make the design more visually appealing, but even with full printing it seems like a difficult task. -

CMF series I'm hesitant on The Benetar, depends how it looks and how it is done - only would be getting it for the build as already have what I view as the best appearance of the team (Guardians Of The Galaxy 1 suits with the polybag Rocket Racoon arms so they have full printing). D2C is also probably a 'for the build' situation as the figure so far (yes even if it potentially includes Daredevil and Punisher) do not particularly spike my interest. I think the eyes should be bigger near the middle and smaller near the edges, in addition the eyebrow aspect is weird and would probably look better without it and just have a curve effect. Venom also needs a better tongue somehow, but admittedly not sure what they could have used One of the problems is that you cannot really do much with Venom's colour scheme - he's pretty much black & white with a red tongue so you don't really get the ability to really express detail. I think the Raimi version is the only one to kinda solve this by adding silver webbing lines to his body and mask, but admittedly it did not really look good in the final product. I think Lego could have done something similar here. -

I kinda doubt these will be the only 'Infinity Saga' sets we wind up getting - 2022 is bound to give us some and we also have the potential for it to be a legacy wave Hopefully we get missing figures in those, though Iron Patriot 2.0 might be tricky because he's quite hefty, you'd probably need one of the Nexo Knight pieces to get the bulky nature of the figure right: The post also includes the admittedly cloudy New Asgard with Rocket outside and the teaser/trailer shot of Rocket on War machine. We don't really have a daylight shot of Rocket to really compare, other than potentially the shot of him telling Thor they are leaving near the end of the movie - however this is heavily desaturated as with most of Endgame so Rocket has a grey looking outfit here. This singular shot is probably what they based Rocket's outfit on honestly -

Good: With the head no longer attached to the shoulder pads, you have head articulation The head has the printed goggle piece seen in the final battle Due to the desaturation in Endgame, the suit does appear more desturated and grey than it did in the promotional trailers/teasers so its accurate to an extent Bad: The switch to brown would work for an early Rocket Raccoon, but they have been slowly but surely aging the character throughout the movies so the fur needs to be darker and greying Like many others I feel the more obvious dark blue option would make sense here Endgame's scenes generally had terrible colour desaturation, I guess to try and make everything look depressing? His colours only really show in the trailers/promotional material and certain shots. I guess you could go with the excuse that his outfit is dust covered/old and in the final battle it gets soaked with water cleaning it briefly so it stands out slightly more -

Yes, they are not allowed on the forum. Instagram is best bet, try searching 'LegoShangChi or LegoLeaks or Legoleaks2021 or some variation of the hashtag. The polybag leaked a while ago so it might be buried under all the recent posts -

Yeah, would be great. I'm hoping the Daily Bugle results in them doing more big sets and Avengers Tower would be ideal for a 2022 Legacy wave. Realising I missed the Gold Captain America set from my speculation Re-added it now We have a new translucent whip piece with the Shang Chi sets, I kinda think they would use that Wasp had a fairly minor role in Endgame, so they are probably focusing on the main characters to an extent. -

@benderisgreat It has some level of basis, with the similar font choice, the timing of the sets being released and the specification that it was 'Assembled from the Spider-man Universe' something they did not really need to state if it was just a comic set Though admittedly we cannot really state it is based on the movie version, as not only have we not seen the movie version but the design of the head for Venom & Carnage would not really be enough to emphasise which version it is based on. Here is my idea of how 2022's wave would be if we got a legacy wave: Here is how to do it: -

He never said that, but that's not what I am claiming, the new deal between Sony & Marvel might allow for the creation of sets based off Sony films such as Venom or Morbius - we don't have the details to really rule that out as a possibility At minimum we are getting a Venom (76187) & Carnage (76199) head busts timed around May with the movie releasing in June. As for the films, Venom was made with the intent of making it unclear if it was in the MCU or not, partially for marketting purposes as Sony wanted to leech off the popularity of the MCU. Potentially under the new deals and the introduction of the multiverse combined with the fact Morbius is definitely set in the MCU (Adrian Toomes shows up, posters of Spider-man Raimi version labelled 'murderer' implying multiverse connection OR simply being replaced later with MCU Spider-man?) - I don't really see a reason as to why they could not incorporate them into the MCU and just have Venom & potentially Venom: Let There Be Carnage retconned to take place during the five year timeskip with Venom showing up in Spider-man: NWH, Spider-man 4 or even Spider-man showing up in Venom 3. -

Seems the Carnage Head/Bust is releasing April 11th for the US ($59.99) and May 1st for the UK (£54.99) have added the new info to the list. Interestingly enough the logo font for Carnage is from Venom: Let There Be Carnage, underneath the title 'Carnage' is 'Assembled from the Spider-man Universe'... Top of the Box seemingly confirms it is based on Venom which is now part of the MCU Though the shots from the front do not show the 'Venom' title at the top, so perhaps we are being teased regarding the Venom head/bust. After seeing the back of the box and comparing, I feel the eyes need a re-do. Should be thicker in the middle and thinner near the edge, but otherwise looks good. -

No clue, Shang Chi's cheaper set has a bigger box than the more expensive set. It's not really something we can judge at this time. -

1.5 new figures? no problem Personally picturing something like the Spider-man Far From Home pack, had three figures and some accessories Wanda, double sided face with new helmet piece, new torso print, dual molded arms, printed legs (Episode 9 Costume) Agatha using entirely pre-existing pieces (Maybe a new Torso Piece?) Vision (Repeat of Civil War figure) For accessories: Darkhold book piece, Rabbit, Tiny buildable TV Monica, White Vision, The Twins should all show up elsewhere in the MCU so can adapt those later Ralph Bohner seems unlikely to be adapted Supporting characters had fairly minor roles that would not warrant them being in the minifigure pack Never had a helmet piece in Endgame so would not really make sense for her to randomly gain one, though understand what you are saying. I think CM4Sci was referring specifically to a Disney+ Episode 9 WandaVision outfit/head piece. -

Personally guessing the WandaVision figure is part of a minifigure pack rather than CMF, we are missing a lot of neat figures from WandaVision and unless the CMF series is around half dedicated to WandaVision it's unlikely we'd get representation for WVision, Tommy, Billy, Agatha, Monica, Ralph Bohner, etc... I'm still leaning toward a Thor Legacy set with Eye-patch Thor, Korg, Meik, Valkyrie, Hulk using the new big fig mold Thanos will use. It feels too early for Korg to have leaked for the CMF series. We discovered the recent Carnage set and that was a new number, so perhaps 76197 and 76198 are Marvel sets also... we also still have 76179 listed as a Marvel set on Brickset (Going to add that one actually... just until we know) Ty :3 -

"Don't worry she will get it if what heard about some LEGO stuff is true" was the exact remark. It was a remark on twitter referring to Wanda's having her headpiece in the Disney+ series AFTER the Halloween Episode of WandaVision. Only time she wore it after was in the finale with the new costume, so it's believed that CM4Sci is aware of a WandaVision figure of Wanda based on her costume in Episode 9. It may not be a set (CMF Series?) but we should be getting her. It's believed to be too early for Doctor Strange 2 and it's unclear if she has any role in Spider-man 3, so chances are it is CMF series or a Disney+ set of some kind. It was luckily relayed by @THELEGOBATMAN because the remark was removed quickly after (probably the leaker trying to avoid Lego's wrath). They provided a link showing the tweet existed Sadly the link no longer works No problem, guilty of that myself Will replace with a new list once a month, but shall update existing list whenever I can :) -

My mistake I think the CMF Marvel series will be like the Harry Potter one, I would not be surprised if we get another CMF series in 2022. -

If we get 16 figure (I think it's more likely we will get 10 like the Ghostbusters Firehouse), then here is my selection: Venom (Confirmed Figure) Spider-man (Necessary for a D2C Spider-man set) J.J.Jameson (Necessary for a D2C Daily Bugle set) Robbie Robertson (Daily Bugle Employee) Peter Parker (Daily Bugle Employee/Alter-Ego of Spider-man) Eddie Brock (Daily Bugle Employee/Alter-Ego of Venom) Betty Brant (Daily Bugle Employee) Mary Jane (Love Interest of Spider-man) Doctor Octopus (Sinister Six) Mysterio (Sinister Six) Electro (Sinister Six) Vulture (Sinister Six) Sandman (Sinister Six) Kraven (Sinister Six) Daredevil Black Cat I thought it would take a long time to get the Mark 3 and potentially an Obadiah Stane figure, so I've already got versions of them via Aliexpress Same goes for quite a few of the Endgame characters - though I expect Lego will do a better job filling out the roster. I'm more hyped for the Legacy sets because it gives them the chance to improve or revisit what they were unable or unwilling to do prior. I'm more hyped for the legacy sets at the moment - the D2C just does not grab me as much knowing it's comic based, could still surprise me though. -

The polybag was originally listed for April - while Promobricks listed the sets for May As a sidenote we have the name of the cheaper set 'Shang Chi: Escape From The Ten Rings' - have added it to the list. Also the bigger set has 400 pieces, added that also :) -

Can you clarify the complaint about the Ninjago City sets, I don't feel that would be considered a spoiler...? Or can we guess and you say yes/no? :P Face print looks strange. Dragon is 'ok' but the tooth/beard looks weird and it's absent from the larger dragon that only has a moustache. Can anyone tell the name of the set? 'Shang Chi and the Great ...?' -

For me the list is: Iron Monger set, depending on the portrayal of the Iron Monger Endgame Final Battle set, as long as the figure selection is good Benetar, as long as its well designed (can probably mod it into a Milano by swapping colours and altering the front design) The bust/gauntlet are a maybe, depends how they are handled. The D2C seems unlikely for me at the moment, depends on design, but I'm not particularly hyped from it being the Daily Bugle and comic based. I guess I'll have to decide when we see it around mid April/late April (If it releases May 1st) Hopefully we see images of the sets soon or get a better idea of figures, especially the mystery 76200 set. The comments from Falcon on that one are interesting. -

Here we go: Iron Man Mark 4 - Completes the first few seven sets of Armour (If we get Mark 3 in the Iron Monger set) Thor with double sided face, Eye-Patch + Eye-Patch lightning face with Winged Helmet - Fixes a missed opportunity with a prior figure and gives us a highly requested piece in the form of Thor's Winged Helmet Captain America with Triangle Shield - A unique variant of Captain America with a new Shield piece they could use for Castle themes Agent Peggy Carter - Based on her appearance in 'What If' in order to give us a more interesting torso print, includes circular shield Classic Hawkeye - Purple/Pink Hawkeye with his classic mask piece (Guessing we get Ronin in the Legacy sets) Odin with his helmet, hair piece, scepter and Tesseract 1x1 brick Heimdall with his helmet, hair piece and long sword Frigga with triangular lower torso piece and a dagger Whiplash with printed arc reactor tile and bird Malekith with double sided face, re-uses the Skrull helmet piece Spider-man Home Made Suit from Civil War/Homecoming Stan Lee with comic book and brush/pen No Black Panther, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Guardians or Captain Marvel figures because they have got at least another movie and plenty of chance for future sets or associated legacy character sets. Mostly aiming to represent dead or prior characters with a slim chance of being represented elsewhere. -

We still don't know what 76200 is. We need to find out the D2C information and the CMF series. We also have at least 2 Spider-man sets. Though that might not be all the sets we are getting this year. Ah, forgot that was a thing. -

As far as I am concerned they have already given us good comic versions of: Kraven The Hunter Venom Sandman Carnage Mysterio Doctor Octopus Vulture Scorpion J.J.Jameson Green Goblin Hobgoblin Aunt May I'm not sure what figures they could really add to the set that would make people desperate for it? Maybe they'll throw in the comic Avengers to help sell the set? Falcon said not to expect Fantastic Four or X-Men stuff. Ignoring variants of pre-existing characters and minor characters - this means the character has never been represented in Lego in any method.Spoiler tagged for space Falcon went 'well' when a remark was made about the CMF series being based solely on the comics... personally I think it's a blend of MCU and comics. -
