Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Updated the list with the recent information/reveals. I think the translucent green is meant to be a nod to some sort of drool, not sure how accurate... but yeah, the green antenna piece hiding behind the display plaque is odd due to where it is positioned. I think this might be another case of Lego either trying to increase the piece count slightly, similar to how they use an angular tile and a single stud tile as opposed to a 2x2 tile. -

Confirmation of May again, good :) 14 Figures is pretty reasonable considering that a lot are potentially new, though I hope they are more detailed than that teaser image... speaking of which the teaser image is from Lego Marvel's Avengers... is that perhaps the basis for the set? We know of: Spider-man, Venom, Peter Parker, J.J.Jameson, Daredevil, Punisher and Black Cat... so we have another 7 figures to be revealed. Most likely it'd be along the lines of supporting characters for the Daily Bugle and additional villains to accompany Venom, as per the remark 'one of the villains'. Personally would expect Eddie Brock, Betty Brant, Robbie Robertson, Electro, Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus and Mary Jane Watson as the other seven figures: Eddie provides an alter-ego for Venom Robbie & Betty provide some more characters for casual Daily Bugle activities Electro is in Spider-man: NWH, so can see this being a good time to get a comic version of him Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus are quite popular and would help sell the set Mary Jane Watson has not really had an iconic figure to represent her Not particularly interested in a second building, if It's Nelson & Murdock then I can see Franklin 'Foggy' Nelson instead of a potential Mary Jane Watson figure. -

I'd guess it to be a three story building at least - would'nt make sense to be two story in my view. Given the date, it's going to be tricky to determine what is real if this is not an April fools Any idea what time? Shocker confirmed! Plus Electro! It's unlikely to be D2C Daily Bugle related, beyond text information - and I doubt it would be a 'bigger reveal' if it's just saying a few characters from the D2C. This is probably something different. I'd expect this would be another of our mystery puzzle pieces to fully understand this year, which Falcon1414 teased. We still have an apparent Lego Disney+ Episode 9 Scarlet Witch that has yet to appear that was teased by CM4Sci... we also do not yet have clarity on what the September CMF series is based on. We don't have the number for Thor's house set yet or information about any potential similar exclusive sets. I feel we are missing some sets, perhaps for June/August - especially with recent remarks that some of the numbers are in flux coupled with the recent info about 76198. -

So, presumably J.J.Jameson, Spider-man, Venom, Daredevil, Punisher, Black Cat and I'm guessing other villains from the remarks amount Venom being 'one of the villains'. So we are already at a rough 6 characters for the D2C... which is neat. Early remarks by individuals here hinted we might get 12 characters in the D2C - so halfway there Was kinda teased earlier in this thread, but yes, glad we got confirmation. Shang Chi is getting a polybag. I'd expect either the D2C or the Summer Marvel sets to get a polybag also. Personally I hope we get a polybag with purchases of the 76193: Benetar. At the moment that only has six figures, out of which only two might be unique to that set. Teen Groot - might be the same one as in Thor's Weapon Quest Rocket Raccoon - might be the same one as in the Thor's house set Thor - might be the same one as in Avengers: Endgame Final Battle Chitauri - might be the same one as in Avengers: Endgame Final Battle So the only exclusive figures in that set might end up being Mantis & Star Lord - and even they could wind up being repeats. Throwing in a polybag/promotional set that features Drax & Nebula would allow you to replicate the scene of them in the spaceship at the end of the movie and it would also help balance out that pricing - with eight figures for $149.99 instead of only 6 figures for $149.99. They could even throw Gamora in to help sweeten the deal. Guessing the potential polybag for the D2C Daily Bugle is tricky when we don't know the figures, but it'd make the most sense to be a popular character that people want. I'd probably lean towards a character like Madame Web, Morbius, Blade or original comic inspired Nick Fury as a polybag. -

Could wind up being a Christmas themed variant, like the Iron Man with Christmas Jumper - so would not necessarily rely on the Christmas calendar for figures. Prices stay the same, set numbers might be different similar to how the Venom set number we had was actually for Carnage. Probably the Final Battle set for the figures. I'd hope the Benetar is amazing, even if I might not get it as I would prefer the Milano. Not sure what to expect with the Daily Bugle, it can go either way. I'm kinda expecting it to be visually impressive but not somethind I'd end up getting. As for the Sanctuary II I'd have hoped that to be a larger set but it still interests me a bit -

Its more that from the context of your remark, people thought you were missing an image showing what you were referring to. Other than the Nebula variant head and the Thanos/Hulk figures, the other figures in that set soon won't be exclusive. The new final battle set is featuring the upgraded Thanos and that new big fig style will likely be used for Hulk/Smart Hulk in future. Iron Man Mark 85 is likely either going to be re-used or improved upon also and as far as we can tell we are getting a microfig Ant-Man that might be the same one we got prior. Outrider is everywhere so you can get that cheap enough. Personally I think the set is only somewhat worth it if you want that Thanos & Hulk big fig - that's why the price is high after all. A lot of the build is rather bare and empty with the focus on the vehicles. Chances are they could even do a better compound in the new set, sure the previous set had 699 pieces compared to the new sets 527, but this time we are only including the Compound and the Ant-Man van, previously we had the Compound, Car and Helicopter. Either way, we'll probably get the Compound again eventually (Or you can build a better version) -

I would not mind her in the CMF series with a new helmet and at least arm printing and hopefully leg printing, but for Endgame Legacy Sets? Wasp played such a tiny role in the movie that I don't see why she would get included. It'd make more sense for them to give us a new Wasp & Ant-Man helmet piece in Ant-Man 3. If we get an Endgame Final Battle expansion set chances are it'd prioritise characters that we're missing such as Drax, War Machine, a variant of Rocket with a Giant Man build VS a Leviathan with a Chitauri. -

Would prefer Wasp be saved for Ant-Man 3... no point rolling out a new figure for her right now (Unless we get a legacy set for Ant-Man or Ant-Man 2) -

April never seemed like it was going to be the release, early reports did say April/May but then Lego_Fulcrum provided some clarity with 'May' - so the only chance of us getting it in April was a potential VIP release situation at the end of that month. I don't get why you feel it may have moved to June/July though, that seems kinda out of left field? 2000 posts -

They made a lot of hype about us getting a release date and now it turns out the release date was just speculation? As a sidenote, the reason I've listed it as May is due to Fulcrum claiming it as May specifically. If it gets a VIP release that might have ended up being April, but the main release would be May: "Daily Bugle coming as the Marvel D2C set in May for $299.99" -

@THELEGOBATMAN Doctor Strange Electro Doctor Octopus MJ Ned Leeds Seem like the most likely missing characters based on what we know about the film currently. They did make Raimi sets in the past, but yes, it likely would not happen unless it was an off-shoot of a current movie. For example, if Spider-man: NWH were to revisit the Raimi verse and have a scene in the time period of a prior movie. Though chances are that they are picked from Spider-man 2 and TASM 2 respectively. Spider-man 2 he was considering quitting being Spider-man because he felt the world hated him. TASM2 he had just lost the love of his life. Both of these could be used to apply to the scenario our MCU Spider-man finds himself in. I'd lean towards an anniversary wave being more focused on covering things they could'nt at the time rather than re-doing old sets. @oxy220 In terms of 2022: January/February: Spoiler filled Spider-man: No Way Home set/sets March/April: Doctor Strange 2 sets May: Thor 4 sets June: Legacy/Anniversary sets based around The Incredible Hulk (Gold Bruce Banner), Iron Man 2 (Gold Iron Man), Thor (Gold Hawkeye), Thor 2 (Gold Thor), Captain America: The First Avenger (Gold Captain America), The Winter Soldier (Gold Black Widow) June/July: Black Panther 2 sets September: Marvel CMF Series 2 October/November: Captain Marvel 2 sets Winter?: Ant-Man 3 sets ?: D2C Avengers Tower (Gold Nick Fury OR Loki) ?: Disney+ set/sets *Speculation only :p -

Most likely situation: Teaser: Show Doctor Strange, tease multiverse aspects, show Electro Trailer 1: Show Doctor Octopus, tease other villains & heroes, show unmasked Spider-man Trio Trailer 2: Show other villains, show masked trio, end with shot of Trio Vs Sinister Six In terms of Timeline for when those will happen, I'd guess they would time them around the MCU movie releases: Teaser Trailer: July 9th (Black Widow) Trailer 1: September 3rd (Shang Chi) Trailer 2: November 5th (Eternals) So perhaps an April release after all? Still confused as to why the polybag was listed for April, but the sets May. We seem to have people buying the sets & the polybag now which should imply that the sets would release April. -

List has been updated to include Katy & Razor Fist in 76176 At this point I hope they will show the instruction manual for these sets, perhaps it'd reveal the other Marvel sets intended for release around this time. @THELEGOBATMAN @oxy220 I would not be surprised if the inclusion of potentially the Raimi & Webb Spider-man being teased is to keep us distracted from the potential multiverse implications. If Raimi & Webb Spider-man are in No Way Home... then what is to stop a scene with potentially a bunch of different Spider-man many of whom from different parts of the multiverse? -

Robbie Robertson would make the most sense. He's kinda an opposite to J.J.Jameson - normally trying to be the level headed voice of reason regarding Spider-man. He gets some good subtle moments in the Raimi trilogy that made me appreciate him, even if he's more of a background character. My interest may be revitalised slightly if they tackle the Spider-man Animated Series from the 90's, otherwise this has potential to be a mistep in my view - especially if the CMF series is also based on the same version. I'm a fan of Daredevil thanks to the Netflix series, but getting him without his supporting cast would be a little frustrating as a I like having complete collections. It's unlikely we'd get Bullseye, Kingpin, Elektra and others in a similar comic style for quite a while. If the D2C and potentially CMF series are based on a specific version then it has more hope than a general 'comic' asthetic and limits the amount of figures one would need for a full collection making it more likely to be completed. I feel that would be more suited to the CMF series, if that is related to the D2C - would be better getting him there as opposed to locked in the $299.99 set I think it'd be wise for them to attempt both: Head print of Daredevil mask with horns and revealed 'mouth' segment, then a helmet piece that can go over the top to cover the horns and eyes to give it a bit more distinction. Then fans could choose if they like the printed version or the helmet version. You can see an example in the spoiler tag: -

In terms of sets priced at $299.99: Ninjago City Gardens: 22 Figures, 5685 pieces Welcome to Apocalypseburg: 13 figures, 3178 pieces Ninjago City: 19 Figures, 4867 pieces Sandcrawler: 14 Figures, 3296 pieces So I'd hope the D2C can deliver around 3100+ pieces and around 13 figures - which is honestly still lowered expectations as they should really be able to deliver more unless the figures all have amazing printing and new pieces. Block the user and then it will not show up when searching for the hashtag, eventually they will run out of people to bother :) People will always use those hashtags to try and leech off the attention. -

As far as we know she's only in the Advent Calendar (which will likely result in a Christmas themed outfit) and the Sanctuary II set which is 29.99€ and unlikely to give her much in the way of additional printing. Personally I'd expect her to just get a torso print and maybe a new hair piece. Arm print would make more sense than leg printing, probably printed rather than dual molded. Though admittedly depends I'd rather not have a Lego employee checking here and incorrectly think that is what people associate the character with, so maybe we should move on from political aspects Cancel culture is so toxic and destructive I'd rather not have it invade Superheroes. The Firehouse was around $50 more expensive, so that's probably a good comparison - though admittedly it depends on how detailed the building is and what design of the Daily Bugle they go for along with figure count. -

It would definitely be something I'd consider if it was. It would give us a ton of potential for new designs of villains. Below is how Punisher, Daredevil & Black Cat appear: Indeed, but mostly it could be used to justify why we are getting another Venom - as Animated Series Venom was often depicted with red and blue in his design as opposed to most standard Venom designs that are just black and white (other than the tongue). Would make sense to get a new Venom figure if we are going to get this version of him -

I wonder... a potential Spider-man related series that includes Daredevil, Punisher, Venom and potentially Black Cat? Something Spider-man related that is going to be given more focus via Disney? Something that featured the Daily Bugle prominantly? Maybe a series where Venom fought Spider-man at the Daily Bugle? I wonder what the D2C and CMF series might be based on... Just speculation, but hype if it happens -

So: Spider-man (Most Likely) J.J.Jameson (Most Likely) Venom (Confirmed) Daredevil (Teased) Punisher (Teased) Black Cat (Teased) Venom was teased as 'one of the villains' so I'd guess we are due for some more villains. But looking to be about six figures so far... I'd hope the final set includes around 10. Unclear, Daily Bugle is apparently releasing in May. If it's released the start of May then we may get a VIP release in April and that could mean a reveal mid April. -

While it would be nice for collectors, given this is the first Marvel CMF series it'd make more sense to appeal to a wider audience - which is why I feel a mix of comic and movie characters. As Falcon1414 said a long time ago, it's also likely it will include some variation of the core Avengers due to popularity. Speaking as speculation or a source? I think that would be kinda strange, the CMF series being Marvel related and Marvel's posterboy primarily being Iron Man... At least we know now for sure they are not in the CMF. -

Black Panther would make the most sense to leak next - probably means someone has access to the cheapest set, so maybe photo's of the box soon? I think it might be a mix of both. Either that or the CMF series is going to cover the Disney+ characters so the main sets for next year can focus on legacy sets. Think the one from a week ago is still on there also, could be referring to the Daily Bugle... not necessarily though Has anyone considered that Daredevil & Punsiher might be in the CMF series? -

We have a leak of the Chitauri head print. Both front and back are printed. Looks very similar to the image below, similar helmet print. Easily the best and most accurate head design for the Chitauri.
