Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Guess we are in the calm before the storm Once we get past the middle of the month hopefully things will pick up. Wanda: Wait for the CMF series, her crown is generally the most iconic part of her character and her new design is going to be used in Doctor Strange 2. Once we see how well the CMF does it, the Civil War version might provide an alternative Torso/Face print if needed. Original still works fine for casual Wanda. Black Widow: Get SH637 for the arm printing and then it's your choice of which Black Widow torso, face, hair and legs you like from the other versions if you desire War Machine: Mark 4 is the only one with full printing, but is expensive to get, depends which version of the figure you like Bucky: Pick-up the Winter Soldier polybag for his lower mask face + 'Star Arm' but also wait for the CMF series Wong: You might want to wait for Doctor Strange 2, currently his only figure is in the same pack as the Mark 4 War Machine... Rocket: Personally I still find the Rocket Racoon polybag from GotG1 to be the best version of the character, the printed arms can also be used for other GotG1 Guardians such as Starlord or Gamora Ant-Man: Movie 1 has a slightly more techy look, Movie 2 has more red. If you are not a fan of the helmet you have an alternative with the Endgame version. Generally the torso and leg prints are fine, but you'll struggle to find a good helmet. Doctor Strange: Infinity War version fixes some detailing on the Eye Of Agamotto and gives a slightly more accurate face and hair for the MCU version of the character. Give him Yellow hands to replicate the gloves he had in Thor Ragnarok if you desire. Wasp: This one is tricky, refer to this video for ideas. Generally Torso from the official set, Legs from Ayesha and Wings from the small Parademons. Seems likely they would hold off on Ronin until a potential Hawkeye CMF figure or set. I'd rather not get sets for most the Disney+ shows honestly - nothing other than the characters has really been consistent enough to warrant a set - and most of the time they get a brand new outfit in the final episode so it means most sets would generally have to be based on the last episode of the series which limits what they could include. I feel a set might happen with some of the Disney+ shows - but it does not need to be every Disney+ show. A lot would simply work better as CMF series. -

We have some remarks that Matt Murdock played by Charlie Cox (but potentially not playing the Netflix version of the character) might show up in Spider-man: NWH. If so, could allow them to do more Daredevil associated figures in future. Chances are that it's a mixture of the piece count/price/building techniques and potentially the inclusion of Punisher that has pushed that set to be an 18+ -

Most likely guesses regarding if they are new or recycled figures: Peter Parker - New Spider-man - Re-use of the version from 76198 J.J.Jameson - New Venom - Re-use of the version from 76175 Daredevil - New Punisher - New Black Cat - New Mysterio - Re-use of the version from 76174 Green Goblin - Re-use of the version from 76057 ? ? ? ? ? I think the remaining Sinister Six would make the most sense to be recycled figures with maybe one of them being brand new. The mystery character/characters after the remaining three/four Sinister Six are also probably new At the moment we have a lot of villains and quite a few heroes - so I'd lean towards us getting another civilian figure or two. Robbie Robertson has some level of appeal and he's the editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle so makes sense to be include in the set. I'd be quite surprised if he does not show up, not sure how you'd have life in the Daily Bugle without supporting characters like him. Betty Brant also to a lesser extent. Eddie Brock would fit with the Daily Bugle and we get Venom for him to transform into. Matt Murdock would also be an interesting choice and if we had a spare spot they could give us Foggy Nelson also so we could have a Nelson & Murdock side build. Mary Jane Watson would also make sense we've never had a comic version of her and a majority of the prior versions are massively outdated with the only recent version being the Ultimate Spider-man inspired one. At this point I'm more interested in the mystery 14th (and potentially 13th) characters as opposed to the rest of the villain/Sinister Six line-up -

So far, for those keeping track: Yep 9 Confirmed out of '14': Peter Parker, Spider-man, J.J.Jameson, Venom, Daredevil, Punisher, Black Cat, Mysterio, Green Goblin Nope: Electro, Lizard Reports on other figures: Sinister Six included in some form (At least three/four other villains as such?) -

For me, they need to feature something similar to the old helmet otherwise it simply does not feel like a natural progression of suit designs when displayed together and it weakens the collection nature of the figures if they randomly have different helmets. Some can without interupting things, such as the Mark 1 - but for the most part they need to share collective design elements and the helmet is one of these elements. -

I mean, the 'Rescue' figure would work well enough for a Pepper Potts head and she pretty much just wears a black suit/outfit during the Iron Man Vs Iron Monger fight - so not sure what people were expecting. Admittedly she could probably benefit from skin tone lower half of the legs as she's wearing a business skirt. I still think her face from the older sets is more accurate due to the lighter eyebrows she had in the first movie so generally using that for a Pepper Potts figure. I think I'm mostly interested in the set for the Mark 3 and the Iron Monger build, potentially Obadiah also if they can do a better job than the custom I have -

Detailing is very nice on the torso and legs, glad we got the original helmet mold back. As a sidenote, here is every current Iron Man suit, we are missing quite a lot and still don't have a 'Mark 4' to get a basic Malibu Mansion Hall Of Armour display set-up. Hopefully did not miss any from the list >< I think if we stand any chance of completing this sometime this decade we're gonna need a CMF or D2C... maybe even both. Fingers crossed 2022 gives us a Malibu Mansion D2C set - can be an amalgamation of scenes of the Mansion from Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3 so that we get the Mark 4 and a re-do of the Mark 2 with the old helmet and a selection of the Hall Of Armours. Could do 14 figures Tony Stark Pepper Potts Happy Hogan Mark 2 (With Rhodey head & Old Helmet) Mark 4 (Completes 1-7) Mark 12 Mark 15 - Sneaky Mark 19 - Tiger Mark 21 - Midas (Legacy Gold Iron Man figure) Mark 25 - Thumper/Striker Mark 27 - Disco Mark 35 - Red Snapper Mark 36 - Peacemaker Mark 40 - Shotgun (Completes 35 - 50/85) -

Black Panther has quite a bit more printing on the back of his head than expected, including random Wakandan symbols. Back of the figure is not as chaotic as the front - but still feel the overly detailed front segment weakens the figure. I've no need for another Shuri figure, despite than being better handled than Black Panther, so this is probably not a set I'll be getting As a sidenote, leg0_mr.silach used some of the clear pieces that are prevelant for Wenwu's Ring Whip to make a stand piece, feel a similar technique might work for Whiplash's Whips. A few weeks? So more likely a mid May reveal for an end of May/start of June release as opposed to a start of May release that most hoped for. -

Would keep an eye out for something like that for the moment - as an official reveal out of nowhere seems unlikely. Chances are we'd get a tease for a set at that price. -

Are any designer videos scheduled for today or Friday? Could easily see Lego teasing or revealing part of a D2C via those like they did the Helicarrier. -

The exact remark was "Will Lego post a teaser today? It would line-up with a Friday reveal... I'm hopeful" So I would not take Friday as a concrete thing at the moment. I still think if it's an early May release that we would not see the set until the middle of this month followed by a potential VIP release near the end of the month , but admittedly they may reveal the set slightly early so Lego can be the one to do the big reveal as opposed to leaks -

@Leggomyleggo Started a while before that, but I think it's probably something staff will sort. Had so many new pages I thought we'd had a set leak, lol. @DBlegonerd7 Unsure if you have Instagram, but following '1414falconfan' and 'lego_fulcrum' might help with keeping up-to-date with info. Though yeah, it's quite tricky to follow. Made a list that I'm updating if you are interested. Probably the opening to AoU - we do need a better version of the Hydra goons from that -

Big Figs seem unlikely in this style of set, could happen, but does not seem likely in my view If you mean just a normal minifigure, then yeah, probably not. I'd lean towards them having to use the Lizard Man stuff from CMF series 5 to make him work. In a similar respect if a character like Rhino were to happen they'd have to use a similar method to bulk him up. -

Kinda makes sense, Lizard can be replicated using official pieces already So far, for those keeping track: Yep: Peter Parker, Spider-man, J.J.Jameson, Venom, Daredevil, Punisher, Black Cat, Mysterio Nope: Electro, Lizard Reports on other figures: Sinister Six included in some form (At least four/five other villains as such?) We could still get some surprises. Doctor Octopus, Sandman, Kraven, Green Goblin, Vulture and even Mysterio have all already had a comic variant in Lego form - so perhaps we'll get some different choices for the other Sinister Six members. Kingpin, Shocker, Rhino, Chameleon, Hydro-Man and the previously confirmed Mysterio perhaps. That way we'd get five brand new comic inspired villains -

We still lack a date for What If other than the vague idea of Summer. As far as we know is airing sometime after Loki, which should end July 16th. So we have time for a few episodes of What If before the CMF is released in either August or September (depending on who is right regarding the release date) Would make more sense for them to focus on characters already shown off via the trailer such as The Watcher, Howard the Duck, Black Panther (Starlord) or at a push Zombie Captain America. Makes more sense to save Hawkeye, Ronin Outfit, Kate Bishop and the series villain until a potential Disney+ CMF Series 2. Personally I think The Watcher & Howard The Duck would be highly likely as they emphasise how weird the 'What If' series can be and would be more interesting than just more human focused characters in the line-up. -

True, but this is Black Panther. A character who is seemingly not returning again, from a popular movie, potentially one of the last times they may get to represent the character unless we get more legacy sets in future. You'd think it would at the least have the ear printing like the first itteration of the character did? We now have four different MCU variants of Black Panther and none of them are suited to switch between portraying the power on/off forms as they keep switching designs for the torso and mask whenever we get close Closest we get is the opened eyed variant with 76100 & 76103 and the blue version from 76099... but the normal head variant we get from 76047 has a different mask design. We just need a normal now powered-up head and we'd have all three variants (albiet without the helmet piece). It's frustrating we get a 'fixed' version of the power on form that has a different torso design - means it won't work as a power on version of the version in set 76100 & 76103. -

Head looks worse than the previous version (Above). Torso has more detail, but feels overly detailed and the detail is not accurate to the design: Spikes on upper torso are now bigger with random 'dagger tips' and obscure the upper purple segments of the figure (Probably based on the hot toys version which featured that innacuracy) They have replaced a lot of the segments that should be purple on the figure with white They have added a lot of random extra details that are not on the torso of Black Panther Feels like someone was told to go back and add more lines to what would have been a fine simplistic black and purple torso with his signature spikey necklace style piece. Despite the purple being more accurate, the blue version still has better designs and balance of black, white, gray, silver'ish and the blue/purple than the newer version -

Scarlet Witch (Episode 9 Outfit) - Implied by CM4Sci Halloween/Comic Vision - Implied by Brick Clicker Bucky - Implied by Torso leak Three spots down, who else? :P A version of Agatha, Falcon, Zemo and Loki seem likely. So chances are Scarlet Witch (Episode 9 outfit), Comic/Halloween Vision and I'd guess Agatha with them saving 'White Vision' for if/when he appears later in the MCU. To be fair, it's Venom. Lego seems to like Venom, so chances are we'll get Venom using the new big fig style they are introducing with Thanos at some stage. -

No Electro is disappointing. Hopefully he gets a comic set released around Spider-man: NWH. If we go up to 16 figures then would go 4 Heroes, 8 Villains and 4 Daily Bugle Staff/Casual characters. Something like: Spider-man Black Cat Daredevil Punisher Venom Doctor Octopus Vulture Mysterio Sandman Kraven Lizard Green Goblin Peter Parker J.J.Jameson Robbie Robertson Mary Jane We all would, but I'd lean more towards seeing them in May. Some figures might leak this month, but sets we probably won't see till May... unless we get lucky -

I'm still not sure 14 is the max number of figures, Ralph did tease '14+ minifigures' so potentially we'll get more If we do only get a 14th figure, then I have a few options: Green Goblin: Seems like the most obvious. We have a fairly accurate version of him in the Bridge Battle, but that's the only time that figure was available. With a potential Kraven being included as part of the Sinister Six this would help make sure you have an alternative to trying to get the Bridge Battle set for the comic accurate villains at least. Foggy Nelson: While an odd choice, would help support the idea of a potential 'Nelson & Murdock' side build Robbie: Would be nice, but they seem to not be replicating the 'everyday life at the daily bugle' if Peter and J.J.Jameson are the only non-superhero costumed characters. Scorpion & Lizard I'm dismissing at the moment. Scorpion was made available in a juniors set to make him easier to get and Lizard can be replicated using pre-existing pieces Based on what we have at the moment, probably Peter Parker's appartment OR Nelson & Murdock which could be used to explain Daredevil (and a potential 'Foggy Nelson' figure if they include one) Tis fine, I know it's difficult keeping track of everything :) Falcon1414 posted this image on his story, along with the 'Sinister Six' tease, just encase people missed it: As a sidenote, the art is taken from a series done by Phil Postma which includes Venom, Doc Ock, Vulture, Electro, Rhino, Scorpion, Mysterio, Kraven, Green Goblin, Sandman, Lizard, and Black Cat - so we might be seeing a few of these art pieces cropping up soon to tease other figures in the set. May be worth keeping an eye out if Falcon1414 or another reliable source uses them. -

I guess we are saying fairwell to Ralph, he's going for a while. Was nice while it lasted. So with Falcon1414's posts he's confirmed the puzzle is complete, that's all the main things for this year. He also made a remark about the Sinister Six and posted an image of Mysterio, so I'd guess the Daily Bugle is going to include the Sinister Six? So our line-up so far seems to be: Spider-man Peter Parker J.J.Jameson Venom Daredevil Punisher Black Cat Sinister Six Figure 1: Mysterio Sinister Six Figure 2: ? Sinister Six Figure 3: ? Sinister Six Figure 4: ? Sinister Six Figure 5: ? Sinister Six Figure 6: ? ? Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Electro, Sandman and Kraven would probably be our other Sinister Six figures to replicate the original Sinister Six. Venom could admittedly be part of the Sinister Six, but I doubt it. That still leaves our unknown 14th figure... (Also realising now that Ralph labelled it as '14+ Minifigures') so 14 might not be the max unless someone else sourced that? -

I'd guess it would have a main office room for J.J.Jameson. Probably some photo editing/publication room where Peter has pictures of Spider-man. One of the rooms would probably features that sort of 'transformation' gimmick where you turn the character around so Peter can become Spider-man. Honestly no idea what they could include - other than providing a facade I don't see why they chose the Daily Bugle. -

This version has a lot of exposed skin. This version is closer to what most people were expecting, less exposed skin but it's used to define the outfit ending and the necklace starting If they were referring otherwise, my mistake. I just think they were on about the skin aspect the same as me but misphrased Honestly terrified about figures potentially getting cancelled for random reasons after Lego's recent actions. -

I'm gonna be honest, these sorts of remarks are silly. It feels like you are asking for a staff member to step in. I cannot see why you or TheLegoBatman don't see the point they are trying to make. People just want a figure with some distinction. If she has a black jacket with the gap inbetween also being black the definition are gone. Especially since we have characters with a very similar design exposing a 'V' shaped section of chest to have distinction between the suit and the skin. Either give her jacket more 'fur' so you can define the gap between it and the necklace or give her some undershirt or skin print in a similar 'V' shape.
