Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

As for the CMF (Name links to designs which may be spoilers) Scarlet Witch This could easily wind up the best figure of the entire CMF series honestly. A hair/crown molded piece is definitely needed, two sided facial print (one with glowing eyes), dual arm mold seems and a chance for leg printing and maybe a waist cape. I'd expect her to include the Darkhold also, unless they save that for Doctor Strange 2 sets. Monica Rambeau This is likely going to be one of the weaker figures of the wave, alongside Bucky. I cannot see us getting leg printing and it makes more sense for printed arms rather than dual molded. Her outfit is a bit bland and the only surprises could be a new hair piece or two sided facial print (one with glowing eyes). As such I'd expect some printed tile piece that references the show somehow. White Vision Likely sharing a design with prior versions of Vision, just in white/gray/silver. Head might be slightly different due to the different power stone slot, but otherwise he's probably what we expect him to be. If he has an accessory it's probably the Drone which was used to give him powers, looking like a micro airplane. Falcon Likely based on Episode 6, I expect Lego to go all out on this figure with dual molded printed legs, dual molded printed arms, etc... would probably include his wings and maybe his drone 'Redwing' Bucky Similar to Monica, this is not really a figure that requires a lot of detail. Leg print seems unlikely. The torso we may have seen (Unsure if it was confirmed) and we may get some detail on his arm but otherwise he's probably going to be fairly bland for a CMF figure. I sorta expect this figure to have the Shield piece and maybe his book with a list of names on a printed tile inside to help sell the figure. Loki Chances are his design is based on a costume we have yet to see, I'd expect dual molded hair/crown or at the very least a new crown design. The inclusion of Throg is interesting, could range from being baby groot or yoda sized to being a printed tile piece Lady Loki Similar to Loki, chances are her design is based on a costume we have yet to see. I'd expect dual molded hair/crown or at the very least a new crown design. Zombie Cap Not really hyped for this one, but I hope they would surprise us. Makes the most sense to go with an asymetrical design, one arm being more zombified the other potentially some damage to his outfit. If he has a helmet piece, we could get a two sided facial print, maybe include a damage or bloodied shield that people could perhaps use for TF&TWS? Spider Cap Depending on the version and how comic inspired he is, this could be really awesome for those collecting Spider-man variants, personally interests me but need to see the final design. I'd guess he would have potential for dual molded/printed arms and maybe dual molded blue and red legs. I'd expect his accessory to be his shield with the Spider/Star logo. T'Challa Starlord Probably not one I'll end up getting. At best he'll wind up like this version and that does not really offer much that I'm interested in besides a potential T'Challa face print and maybe the leg print. His accessory is probably his Starlord helmet. Captain Carter Guessing this will be a better version of her What If Set variant, most likely will wind up getting her costumed and casual variant - casual variant for MCU collection and the costumed version looks pretty awesome and might provide dual molded boots that would work for Endgame Cap. Arms will probably be printed and head will probably have the helmet printed onto her with an alternate 'normal' face. Probably includes her shield. Thanos Gamora This is a surpirse and potentially has potential to be a really awesome figure. Legs and arms will probably be printed, I'd unfortunately expect her torso piece to be more feminine which makes it less re-usable for Thanos if it's better done, but her legs might be transferrable. I'd expect her to include the double bladed sword weapon. I also would not be surprised if she dons a helmet like Thanos, which would be nice to be included also and could provide us with a more accurate helmet. Most excited for Scarlet Witch. A couple of the others interest me but not enough to go with them without seeing what they look like in figure form. I'm most curious about Thanos Gamora as she could provide pieces for minifigure Thanos along with a double sided sword and maybe a helmet. Captain Carter also interests me for the sake of pieces for Endgame Cap. -

Keep in mind that we don't know the size of MCU Throg, as such I'd say expect something baby groot sized or smaller in terms of realistic scale. Microfig statues, Printed Frog piece and Printed Tile piece are not out of the question either so bare that in mind -

I'd guess they will have aspects we can search for: Captain America (Sam) - Probably has the wings (Feel for Wings) Zombie Captain America - Probably a helmet rather than a print (Feel for Helmet) Captain Britain - Probably hair piece over a printed head (Feel for Hair) Captain America Spider-Man - Probably printed head as opposed to a helmet (If nothing, then you have found Spidey) -

I don't think he'd have the Eye Of Agamotto given it no longer has the Time Stone after Infinity War/Endgame - that alone should mean a new torso piece as that was a prominent aspect of his prior Lego figures. I've seen some concept art which may give a hint of how he looks in Doctor Strange 2 - seems more inspired by this outfit for the character. This would require a lighter blue for his outfit, potentially some white/gray for a torso logo and perhaps no longer necessarily require leg printing as the belt is more tidied up. I think he'll be in one of the NWH sets though similar to how Iron Man & Nick Fury were in the Homecoming and Far From Home sets. I think the general point was that it does not matter what her role is - other than being important in the Spider-man lore That alone should be enough to justify her potential inclusion in the set. I'm not sure her being a journalist would make it more likely, unless she has worked for the Daily Bugle - even then we're dealing with the original comics so they are likely going to lean towards those. As of the moment we need more civilian characters to justify the Daily Bugle setting otherwise it's just a backdrop to what appears to be several heroes fighting a version of the Sinister Six. I think including characters who are tied to the Daily Bugle would be helpful such as Robbie Robertson, Eddie Brock, Betty Brant... you could even go obscure and go for a character like 'Richard Jones' (The Phantom Reporter) in which you just give us a guy in a suit with a cape and a hat and you can give him an alt-face with an eye mask and you'd have an extra hero who could pass for a civilian who has ties to the Daily Bugle also. -

Regarding DanielRPK Regarding Doc Ock's character arc: Regarding new information, Falcon1414 stated he expects that the same 'big brick built figures' "could show up in a very expected way soon". To me this leans mostly to Marvel or perhaps Ninjago. Sarcasm? I meant along the lines of a figure that otherlaps both Loki and 'What If' in nature. After all, we have at the very least three different Thor storylines they are doing a 'What If' take on: One focused around Loki, One focused around Thor, one focused around Iron Man in the Sakaar setting. A Thor variant (Party Thor), Loki variant or perhaps the Collector would all make sense as such - and could take the place of a Loki series supporting character. We may even have some form of overlap as the Collector is still out there, we're going to be running into Loki variants in the series and we have hints towards the involvement of alternate Thor's. -

Agatha is likely going to return in Doctor Strange 2 or whenever the prophecy of Wanda going apocalyptic happens. I also feel she can be replicated already so a figure of her is not really needed. Zemo is likely going to return in some variation of 'Masters Of Evil' or 'Thunderbolts'. I can see us likely getting a figure of him now though because of the characters main series popularity and lack of inclusion in the Civil War sets. John Walker is likely going to return in something else after the set-up in Episode 5, likely TF&TWS Season 2. I don't think we'll get a version of him anytime soon though. I think Karli is the only character I don't expect to return in a large capacity, but I doubt they will killing her off either. I don't think she really warrants a figure but it would admittedly make sense to include her if they have no intent to bring the character back - which seems likely. I don't think we'll wind up getting Pierce. Malekith (Hopefully Kurse as a Big Fig), Whiplash, Red Skull and Zola all seem like something they could revisit eventually in Thor 2, Iron Man 2 and Captain America: The First Avenger Legacy sets that we'll hopefully get next year to mark the 10th anniversary of MCU Lego sets. Ego seems like he'd be relegated to some sort of CMF series, similar to Kaecilius - they are something that makes sense to be given a figure, but neither is from a movie where we are missing a bunch of characters (or variants) like Thor 2, Iron Man 2 or Captain America: The First Avenger. -

Regarding potential NWH leaks, I've seen two recently. I expect real information is out there, but if either leak is real chances are they are first drafts with aspects that may be changed. I would however still lean to certain aspects happening and would still highly expect that if we do get the three Spider-men together that chances are we are gonna have some form of Sinister Six also. I think some can be replicated fairly easily, Ultron is the only one of the recent concepts that I sorta hope gets a CMF figure so we get his comic style head. I am almost positive Electro will wind up getting a figure, he was one of the first villains announced and likely has a considerable role. He's also apparently not playing the 'Blue' Electro, so he's the same character but they are altering the design. I'd hope we get a new Doc Ock figure also - hope they don't ruin the character. At the moment we are down to two potential NWH sets, 76185 and 76195 - given that 76184 is based on Far From Home. Chances are high that we'll wind up getting at least one set released after the movie that contains spoilery stuff, depending on if the movie does lean hard into the multiverse stuff I'd like to see them give us the Raimi and Webb Spider-man along with re-visiting some of the prior villains. Yeah, this is the calm before the storm. With summer stuff starting to leak, by the end of the month we'll have likely seen the summer Marvel sets. By mid/late May we'll see the D2C. -

Waiting on someone to put the Giant Man head from the Civil War set onto one of those bodies I've more interest in the Milano than the Benatar, the Benetar just has a less interesting colour scheme in my view and it's prior set had some issues with the plastic where some of the pieces were translucent which made the set feel cheaper. I think other than the cockpit the Benetar does have a more interesting design than the Milano - but it's just the colour scheme and lack of the ship doing much in the movies. The Milano at least had some action scenes. I may end up getting the Benetar if it's fairly easily to swap the colour scheme out. I've already got my ideal team of the Guardians Of The Galaxy which are fully printed (Thanks to the Rocket Racoon polybag) - so I'm not really hyped for the figures in that set either, granted not seen them yet, but still. Yep 9 Confirmed out of '14': Peter Parker, Spider-man, J.J.Jameson, Venom, Daredevil, Punisher, Black Cat, Mysterio, Green Goblin Nope: Electro, Lizard Reports on other figures: Sinister Six included in some form (At least three/four other villains as such?), No Big Figs included -

Torso of Cap is definitely accurate to the Endgame movie version, but the lack of arm printing or leg dual molding is a letdown. I'd have hoped for arm printing at least. Hopefully Captain Carter provides dual molded legs that would be possible to transfer, though not sure if she has red boots as opposed to the brown. Worried about the other figures in the Final Battle now... Punisher is an interesting situation, he's accurate enough, but to his first appearance hence the odd choice of hair style, facial expression and the dark blue segments. I'd kinda hope he has an alternative facial print where he looks sort of stoic. I think he is meant to be based off this version of the character, which incorporated some dark blue into the design -

Appreciate the extra +1... may level up soon Though yeah, can't remove the tags from qoutes either I see what you mean with both T'Challa and The Watcher. I think unfortunately that Lego is unlikely to do a brand new mould for T'Challa as Starlord and more likely to stick with what they already have if it is 'close enough'. Could probably wind up having a new hair mould though I guess, would make more sense in my view than them giving us a new mould for the Starlord style helmet. -

Let's break it down, covered a lot of the main characters people expect Wanda needs a new Crown/Hair piece mould and is probably going to get one judging from CM4Sci's remarks Darkhold if it's included would probably wind up being a printed book, no new mould needed, with a tile piece showing apocaylpse Wanda - similar to this book included in the Pirates Of The Caribbean set. Monica would likely use this hair piece Quicksilver and/or Tommy would probably use this hair piece, though a new mould might be possible Billy would require a new mould for the hair/headband piece Vision/White Vision require no new moulds Agatha requires no new moulds Falcon could have a new mould for Redwing OR his wings, but it's more likely it'll wind up brickbuilt or his prior piece in a new colour scheme Karli would either have a dual sided face with the mask printed onto the head like Crossbones OR it'd be a new Mask/Hair piece Zemo would either have the mask printed with an alternate head & hair potentially included OR we'd require a new mask mould Bucky only requires printing, no new moulds here though potentially a new arm Walker's Captain America requires no new moulds Walker's US Agent requires no new moulds Hoskins requires no new moulds Loki needs a new Crown/Hair piece mould Loki's daggers, if included, could wind up being pre-existing pieces such as this , this or this. Although admittedly a new mould would be more accurate. Captain Carter makes the most sense to have a dual sides face with the mask printed on one side Captain Carter's hair might need a new mould, but admittedly can see them using this hair which was used for Sharon Carter, but in a different colour Steve Rodgers requires no new moulds Zombie Cap requires no new moulds Star-Panther's helmet is identical to the prior helmet we got other than colour scheme, no new mould needed Party Thor could potentially work with one of the prior Thor hair pieces, unless he has his coronation helmet in which case Crown or Crown/Hair piece mould Gladiator Iron Man might require a new mould for his shields Kilmonger would likely require a new hair mould The Watcher would likely require a new moulded head Howard the Duck would require a new moulded head -

If we are getting our 'best version' of Big Fig Thanos then I'd prefer having an optional helmet. Personally the helmeted Thanos always looked more complete, especially if we are getting a depiction of his appearance in the final battle and we have not really had them replicate his newer helmet (they tend to stick to his comic/older GotG version which was more purple). I feel it also makes sense if they are making a new big fig design for them to have the ability for whatever head they add on to feature a helmet, hair, etc... in future. This would open up a wide variety of opportunities to replicate characters. My expectation would be something similar to what knock-off figures have done in the past: This gives a lot of benefits: It provides the ability for head rotation You'd be able to add hair, helmets or other aspects to a figures head or even swap the head if desired allowing for easy access to different faces and features It would allow them to cut down on new aspects, you could update the head/hair without requiring a brand new body piece or vice versa If you preferred a character in a minifigure scale then you could give the head to a minifigure instead Personally I'm just hoping that if we are getting a new style of Big Fig for Thanos that Lego take the initiative and make the transition to using the minifigure heads as they have clearly experimented with the idea via Mungus and Killow... also always felt they were going that direction with Hulk but never did. Lots of text, but yeah, hopefully the new Big Fig style is an improvement -

@StarLordTis fine, I was the same with the Endgame wave, lol. A lot of this is just initial reactions to information, I expect people's opinions on the sets, figures, etc... to change a lot as we get more information and even eventually when the sets are in-hand. I'm hyped for some sets at the moment, but at the same time a lot of aspects could change. We have some great potential sets and figures, but things can always change. Maybe, but Zombie Cap, T'Challa Starlord and Captain Carter (The ones Falcon zoomed in on) would be a bit of an 'eh' line-up personally. Captain Carter is the only one they could probably go all-out on unless T'Challa Starlord has a different design that incorporates more of his Black Panther outfit. Zombie Cap is kinda underwhelming unless they were to use it as a method to give dual molded/printed arms or legs or something. Could kinda see a situation where the front of the box has him depicted without the helmet, the helmet could probably be discarded or on a bit of rubble so they might have missed it. I hope this is the case as the optional helmet would help appeal to those who want to display him with or without the helmet and it'd be more accurate to the final battle if you can portray him discarding the helmet during the fight. Thanos potentially being a new type of big fig opens up a lot of options. Just block them and move on from them, the less attention they get the better. They know these things are fake and are trolling the community, something similar happens every leak season. If you are unsure about an image, can question it here and people will examine it and verify it - but otherwise if people avoid mentioning them then they'll eventually get so little reaction they'll move onto trolling another community. -

@StarLord No clue what you are on about regarding Cap... he's in two different sets. One is based on AoU, the other based on Endgame. Highly likely the one in the Final Battle is a different variant. Iron Man could be a variant and we'll have two different Thor variants so hopefully one is to your liking. Same, mostly the Iron Monger and the Benetar designs. Though for figures, need to see the Final Battle. Hopefully Thanos does come with an optional helmet or potential for that in future. Hope so. I'd rather not have to wait till mid May to see them. Depends on the KO. I own several and many are better printing and more detailed with higher quality plastic than Lego after Lego's switch to biodegradable plastics in 2018 we've repeatedly seen quality control issues. I have most the Hall Of Armor replicated with fairly high quality KO's as I did not feel Lego would produce the entire set within this decade or so when I'd be interested in acquiring them xD -

Most hyped for Cap, I'm guessing because they are drawing attention to it that it's probably a new figure. It makes more sense to be the 4+ set version, which will probably be a new version of his AoU suit. Quite a bit that needs fixing with the figure honestly: The red triangular segments on either side of his star should be grey/silver The straps on his upper body should be grey/darker The hands should be black to represent his gloves The star should be bigger and more white, like his lower waist His face printing was notorious for being a darker or lighter shade than it should be, would be easier and make more sense to give us the head and helmet piece from SH686. Legs could probably get a dual mold Arms are tricky but perhaps we'd get the 'A' printed on his arm Granted it's not a figure that I'll desperately need unless they give us dual molded legs, though that could be shared by the Endgame Final Battle version if they did -

'14+' was stated by Bohner - generally we're working off 14 figures until we get confirmation of how many more (if we are getting more). 14 seems about right given the characters we have confirmed and teased: Yep 9 Confirmed out of '14': Peter Parker, Spider-man, J.J.Jameson, Venom, Daredevil, Punisher, Black Cat, Mysterio, Green Goblin Nope: Electro, Lizard Reports on other figures: Sinister Six included in some form (At least three/four other villains as such?), No Big Figs included Generally we're expecting three/four more villains which would take us up to around 12/13 figures, then presumably we'll get another civilian figure or two to round out the set and provide some casual 'life at the Daily Bugle' scenes with. They probably don't want to take the leap fully with the first year, which is why we get a CMF series and the set is a mech build that is Iron Man inspired with presumably a Captain America style figure. Next year we'll probably wind up getting a set for She-Hulk though I am guessing late 2022/2023 when we have Iron Heart and Armor Wars is when they'll lean into sets more, at that point we can just get a bunch of mechs and probably a CMF Iron Man series to capitalise on that. Mentioned it prior, we still don't really have a good comic version of her and most her figures have aged poorly. The most recent is based on a different comic series. -

I'm still hesitant on thinking Vision will be included. We've already got the basic Vision multiple times and the White Vision has potential to show up elsewhere and did not really do too much in the show. We could easily wind up just getting Scarlet Witch and Agatha from WandaVision and the rest be devoted to TF&TWS, Loki and What If. Honestly can only see Vision happening if they want to play it safe. They would probably stick to adaptations or variants of characters we have also seen in the movies - maybe a single brand new character in the form of 'The Watcher'. Something like the following: Scarlet Witch (WandaVision) White Vision (WandaVision) Quicksilver Halloween Outfit (WandaVision) Falcon (TF&TWS) Bucky (TF&TWS) Zemo (TF&TWS) Loki (Loki) Thor (Loki) Heimdall (Loki) The Collector (What If) T'Challa (What If) The Watcher (What If) -

Everyone makes mistakes. Nervous about doing that myself when I source things... Best to just avoid linking or posting images of new stuff to avoid that. Talking about them is fine though :) Sources originally said April/May... with Bohner (and I think Lego_Fulcrum) eventually saying 'May' at a slightly later date. I'm sticking with May, probably mid/late May. That way Star Wars reveals on May 4th, Marvel D2C revealed mid/late May with a VIP release then we get the MCU Endgame/Legacy sets releasing on June 1st. Daily Bugle could be June 1st as rumored, but if so it'd make more sense to get a reveal/VIP release in late May to avoid overshadowing the other new Marvel sets. While this is true, I'd prefer them not to take up a CMF slot with Peggy Carter if we are already getting her in a seperate set. Not the biggest fan of T'Challa as Starlord in terms of design, feels very basic. I feel Howard The Duck and The Watcher would be better more unique choices for CMF figures in 'What If' - though admittedly not seen much of what 'What If' has to offer in terms of characters. Though I suppose it might allow for a more accurate T'Challa figure for those wanting a casual version of the character
