  1. No judging here, Ive only missed out on about 2 sets each year since 2007. My collection now about $4500 US according to brickset. Thats not including my other themed Lego sets.
  2. I cant beleve you still had the bits to keep TLG version still together. Your MOC's are awsome Cavegod, modles I can only aspire to.
  3. Bought a Boba fett minifig on ebay that had the cloud city torso (printed arms) for $8. I asked the seller if he had the legs but he said that's the way he bought it. Now just need to hunt down the printed legs now.
  4. I noticed this while looking at the new arivals @ Thinkgeek, a Darth Vader LED torch. http://www.thinkgeek.com/geek-kids/3-7-years/e7eb/ I haven't see this before.
  5. Ok KimT, can you pleas ecolse this one off. I should have put it in there, sorry all. Thanks CF.
  6. I probably would touch it unless you where certain that it want be damaged. You are right JimH, dont touch it. I would just love to feel how heavey this little sucker would be in the hand but it should never come out of the packaging.
  7. Hay all, as SW Lego holds the most value Id like to here about your stories of getting that awsome set of fig you wanted for ages at a cheap price. I just won on ebay a Boba Fett from Cloud City for $8. It was missing the original legs and replaced by sand green (not even original Boba legs) but has the printed arms so im happy. Ive seen the torso for about $50 alone on bricklink. Now im just after the legs. Bricklink has this for about $170 compleate, so I tought I got a great deal. I also picked up nearly 4kg of Lego second hand from the traiding post for $40 on the same weekend. It had no instructions but using peeron I managed to get nearly all the original sets together and most are 99% complete (hours of fun). I had 27 sets all up but they where all small to medium sets. I found that I had 7143, 7200, 7201. 4486, 7250, 7667 and 7203 in the SW line. Seven SW sets and 4 of them I didnt have so I thought I was extremly lucky to get such a bargin. Also got other themed sets. 3 Spider man sets and 2 Harry potter sets.
  8. Personaly I would try to fix the fig, that is if it's posable not to distroy the packaging or the fig. I dont want to tell you to do it and find you damage the packageing or bend the fig. I'm pritty sure its 14K solid gold so you should be able to bend the fig too easyily but is your call. Its just somyning I noticed when looking at your pic.
  9. I started the Missprint thread on the Star Wars fourm after reciving my Obi head with no mouth printed. Looking closly at most of my lego prints, thay are awful. Most are not lined up right or a little smudged but from a distance most look aright. I have recived a few melted and misprinted parts now.
  10. I instantly turn the hands flat side up unless they are holding a tool or hanging onto a element like a hadlebar like speeder bikes from Star Wars. I think of the flat side looks like your hand from the top and this is naturally how we humans hold our hands so this is how atomically the minifig should be. My son has a bad habbit of instantly tring the hands flat side up then he puts the arms sraight out in frount, like the minifig is a Zombie. Its ok with the Zombie minifig but I think is odd that he dose this but makes it easy for me to tell when he has been touching my Lego on display as the are all walking dead.
  11. It's somtimes frustrating sorting out new and old greys but depending on what im building and what elements I have avalible will be the colour I choose. I know people dont like it but I will mix colours new and old, depending on what your after.
  12. man, I'd like to see these in Australia. We miss out on so much Lego goodies like the mini sets. Id drop my couple of bucks in to try my luck.
  13. My son would love another Dino theme. Also added to what The Doctor said expect more Menis for the Star Wars theme as they will be releasing the Phantom Menace in 3D. I would expect to see more Return of the Jedi sets released to co-enside with the 30th anniversary.
  14. I ve noticed that the head is not on the torso properly. If its sealed behind the glass you cant adjust it and put it on.
  15. Very detailed review, great job. Ive got this set but havent builty it yet but after this review Im temted to get it down and start building. BTW I love your Lambda in the last picture.
  16. Awsome mate, I agree its better than your last one. Keep up the great builds.
  17. Nice, can only see a few studs left over the whole ship. Im interested in seeing the next round of your modifyed gunship.
  18. Awsome, its very hard to get the proportions right with small build but you have done a great job. Must say is the first Driodeka that I have see that can roll, never liked TLG versions as they dont roll up very well at all. I would like to see it the colours reduced from 5 to maybe 3 black, brown and dark grey, but I do understand that people dont have a wide variety of elements.
  19. I read about this a few weeks back on FBTB. Looks promising. If done anytyhing like Bombad Bounty should be funny.
  20. Hay there, my real name is Warwick and my brothers called me Wok when I was little and it just stuck. Then the add on names happned over a few years and was Wokajablocka at one stage. I just use this as my screen name on all the sites I visit as it is an original name that no one else has had to what I can see so far. I also like how it has block in it - a refrence to Lego
  21. Yeah just the head, and Im not worried as I sould get the replacement no problems. Just thought would start my first topic and let people know that they may also find missed printed elements. Also when noicing the box art the utility belt on Obi is diffrent to the 1:1 minifig scale picuture on the frount. The 1:1 scale pic is the print that I got in the kit.
  22. I would look nice if you left stud foot prints where the minifigs have been walking but smooth tile any area the has not be walked, just like the awsome Hoth MOC that was done a few years ago.
  23. I dont have my receipt any more but I still need to contact TLG. In 2008 I had Ventresse's head and obi's torso replaced form set 7676 Republic Gunship due to elements splitting and cracking 2 months after building. They said send back the replacement parts but got lazy and forgot, I still have them in my Lego draw @ home. TLG said they will replace any instock part but not compleate minifigs. See how I go.
  24. For free you say, I've been looking at these on ebay going for like over $10 + postage.
  25. I just started building my 7962 Anakin Skywalker and Sebulba's Podracers but when it came to building Obi I noticed that on his angry face side the mouth was not printed. The smily mouth is printed though. This has make me a but angry myself as I buy the SW Lego for collecting and displaying and the head is miss printed. I have noticed the printing on the elements can be very good and detailed but on other elements crap. Sebulba is an intricate minifig but the print looks awsome, where a round head has crap printing. I will get onto TLG but services in Austrlaia are a bit slow with only one rep we can call. Ill let you know how I go with the replacement part. See pic for refrence.
