  1. When we are talking clearance is this 20% or 50% off?
  2. I was wondering where he went? Id bet he would be the most desired fig as I will be saving for a while to buy the SSD . If we are getting the chance to win Denga are the other SSD minifigs on the table?
  3. I know what your saying but if done properly we could have some really nice sets and not comprimise on quallity. I cant see the diffrenc if they split a $100 set into two $50 sets. I just remembered the origianl Jabba's palace set with the additional sets of Jabba's prize and Jabba's message, I'm sure these sets sold well. I know the Palace is not the best place to start with one needing to be on top of the other but its still possable and I would hope Lego would take this direction in the future.
  4. I went to a grage sale on the weekend a picked up my best Lego score. Had 13 shopping bags of lego for $4 a bag. Each bag contained about 1.2kg (2.5 pounds). Someone had just bought another lot from them befor I got there, but when I got home after getting the junk out of it I was left with around 13-14kg (30 pounds) of Lego. They said I could have it for $50, $2 off the total price. She asked am I happy with this and I said yeah (laughing and rubbing my hands in my head). When I sorted out just the minifigs there was over 100 figs, ranging from Batman, Indiana Jones and Star Wars. I was missing some figs from some sets but still got Batman Arkham Asylum Batman, Pison Ivy, Nightwing, Scarecrow but missing the Riddler and the guards. Got Mr freeze as well. From Star Wars I got origianl Padime, battle droids, supper battledroids, Lobot, Bib Fontana, mutiple clones, plus parts for mutliple figs, some of that what I needed to compleate other figs. 5 Batman figs would sell for around $100 alone. So I got a deal of around $3.30 per KG with themed Lego included, best I have ever got! Im sure people will be jelous and it will be hard to beat that deal.
  5. Genrally SNOT building techneques are harder to cheive and deserves more credit. Although we are seeing more and more SNOT in sets and MOC's the technique is getting more easy to do with the addition of Lego SNOT elements and seeing how pepole use it gives yuo more ideas and becomes easy for you to pull off. I think more credit due for SNOT builds but as it gets more mainstream it will have less of a snotty factor.
  6. A its a shame you missed out on the deadline for the SW raffel, nice MOC though and glade you still shared it with us.
  7. More great ideas from the mini master.  One thumbs up for each build. The new Anikin is more detailed print and ventress has a new body as well making them a little more dirable even if you own the original figs, Savige is a nice fig as well. IMO its not a bad set and my son loves splitting the speeders aparts and awooshing them around and with Legostine's ideas for alternate buils make this a good set.
  8. I voted for the Squad leader Sandtrooper. I loved them in the movies and the new fig look great. Thats one deatiled trooper. New Obi is welcome as the CW version is a bit stale now after a few repeats. New R5 head is also welcome and good to see viriation here as well.
  9. I love the new detailed figs but IMO they are getting too detailed and almost loosing their Lego feel. I like how they are evolving the fig and making them more accurite but I hate how the new molds and prints relly jack up the price. Look at the Tuskan raider, I think he looks fine but a new molded head would look awsome but it would lose the iconic Lego look. Ive said it befor but if they had more simpifyed figs with better prints they could achive a great looking fig with out comprimising on the Lego feel. About the Jabba set for next year. I think Lego need to go back to making 'TRULY SYSTEM SETS'. Remember that Lego bought out sets in a system so you could build up on a specific theme? Each set could sit next to each other and build up your Lego City with more cars and bulding. Maybe the Star Wars line should work more like this origianl idear. Imagin getting the Rancor pit and Jabas throne room in two diffrent sets that acctually was ment to join up, similar the the home one set with two diffrent rooms that joined together. This wil give people the choice to get the figs their after at a cheaper price as you dont need to spend big on a massive set and they broke them down into samaller sets. If you want them all you can buy them all. Pritty simple im my mind. I know SW sets do some what go togeter like the same sceen or movie but IMO they are still not really system sets, but indevidual. Maybe battle packs are true system as they where made to go together but most sets are not. BRING ON TRUE SW SYSTEM SETS.
  10. Nice review Masked as always, I love the new dino range and my son is going to love it more so this is deffantly a for me.
  11. Im in . Boba has brought Jabba's gift just in time for Christmas. Now Boba can relax and celebrate with a drink .
  12. I though they where a bit slack with this line not giving the Dragaon knights a desent castles. Those out posts just dont do it for me. I though in comic/movie culture the baddies always had better weapons, vehilces and structures anyway. The goodies should always be the under dogs.
  13. Tahn lava is awsome. How have you made it glow in some shots? Looks like a great effect.
  14. That look awsome great work.
  15. This is a very nice CROC o I Mean MOC . Great build and lots to look at as ther is alot of things going on cramed in to this sceen. I aslo like the sewer water, fish under neath it and the partualy submerged crock look wonderful anbd lots of bats are a nice touch. Good luck with the competition.
  16. Awsome as usual. I would have not thought of doing this sceen at all but your've done it well. Classic with the droid being pulled apart and the Gonk fryer. Aslo like the nice touch of Boba and Bib standing in the stair well.
  17. Your right, Im loving the new astromech heads and they will give that little more variation to your collection. I do have heeps of R2's. I also think thast its good to get more accurite droids as well. The first time I saw the new R5 heads I was intantly in love .
  18. Added another little Vader to your collection, very nice.
  19. Man I want one, and for $17 Id buy 2. I havent found them in Australia yet and Im sure when I do they will be surlty be over $50. He is going on ebay at the moment for nerly $74 with free shipping, way too much .
  20. I won as well - sort of. Im in Austrlia and I got my mate in the UK to collect them for me. I got all 7 sets for free and need to pay for the postage to get them to me, so It was almost free. Much cheaper than the average $12 + postage AUS their asking for on ebay. Did anyone get a GOLDEN BRICK? I read through the thread and no one has mwentioned it yet. Im going to go home and feel though my bags to see if I got one. Im sort of hoping I dont as its way too late to claim if I did. Be nice to have a chrome gloden brick though.
  21. The dirty Stormies look great IMO but the only thing that gets me is that standing next to each other the dirt prints will be exacly the same . It would have been awsome to get two diffrent dirt prints so they look slightly more individual. Im also glad thet the commando droids are going to be dark grey and not the rust colour perceived in the new picture, thanks legolandia .
  22. Death star all the way. If you dont get it now you will regret it later when its 2 or 3 times the current price. Smaller ships will be easier and cheaper to get at a later stage.
  23. I can't think of anywhere to go specifically but I think Google could be a good bet. Just search what your looking for and refine the search to images. You should eventually find somthing you looking for. You could use the images you and fallenangel1309 have found for refrence scale and size. Hope this helps.
  24. Nice MOC, the first Tri-Droid that I have seen and you have pulled it off very nicley with minimum studs.
  25. Yeah it is a good show and love watching it with my 10 year old and im 30. I'm supprised that they are still producing new Spongebob sets but they sure do sell quick here in Australia as the are a Target exclusive so they are hard to get your hands on.
