LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
wokajablocka replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
I just saw the Hi res images and the fist thing I thought was 'WHY ARE THEY JUST REMEKING OLD SETS?'. All of the Batman sets have already been produced. Im not too familiar with the movies, are these sceens from the movies? This is the only reason for then to remake them but surly they can make more sceens from Batman, there was only like a thousand moves made. Apart from my little rant the new sets look pritty cool though and I missed out on all the Batman sets and would like to get the Catwoman and the Joker figs for my collection. I'm still waiting to dee waht the Super Heros lineup will bring us over the next year of two. The Wolverine fig looks awsome. -

They had 5 Star Wars Advent Calendars @ Uncle Pete's in Cambelltown. Just ordered on e from the UK on Friday for $48 posted and Uncle Pete's had them from Retail $49 with a 20% off sale over the week end so you capould have picked them up for $40. Now the 20% is over but they should still have stick. My partner went there on Thursday and they didnt have any so thats why I purches it from the UK. Now I just need to wait for it to be posted to me, hope it comes before Dec 1st. -
Sharing your LEGO with your kids
wokajablocka replied to redryder's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have alot of Star Wars thats worth money so I dont let my son plat too much with it. Now he is 10 he is a litle light handed now but has pritty much broke and or lost parts from nearly every set. I have too much no to have fun putting them back together as its just too frustrating trying to look for missing parts. Ive bought him thousands of dollars woth of Lego but he is a kid and cant help touching and playing with any Lego that comes into the house new or old. I tell him I bought you so much Lego but you still need to play with all my Lego. That makes me angry, when hes told not to paly with it and he cant help himself. If there is anything I want untouched I need to pack it away. Over all I dont mind kids palying with the Lego as long as it doesnt leave the house and they look after it. -
That pritty good Lego envy, plenty of vegitation and creepy crawlies everywhere. To me the light tan is a little off but the varing groth colours are ok. Wheres R2?

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
wokajablocka replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
With the plaet sets I want to know how big the planets are, I can get an approx size from the pics but I want to see it next to somthing for comparison. I was dissapointed with the death star planet, I thought it would look better than that. It dosent even look like is printed. the other planets are fully printed why couldnt the make the DS look better? -

[MOC] Luke VS The Rancor (Micro-Mood Scale)
wokajablocka replied to M<0><0<DSWIM's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice work Mood. I would have like to see your V1 Rancor next to see the scale diffrenc. From memory it looks very simialr but im sure you dont have it bult anymore. Very well done as usuall. -
Ive always got Lego all over house with my very messy 10 year old son. Ive got a little yapper and if he gets board we will pick up a element every now and then but generally leaves it alone. He seems the like the softer rubbery elements more than the hard ones. About 4 years ago My now deceased rottweiler chewed my sons Mutant teridactal from the T1-Typhoon Dino Attack Lego set. He was very dis apointed but she got a walliping for it. After that she only very ocasinally chewed elements but this again is like my little dog and only really chew them when they are board. In the end the easyest way is to keep the dogs away from the Lego is not to let them near it or at least try and keep your dog bussy when building. Get someone to play with them or give them a toy to chew on, that sould keep them busy.

Refurbishing/Cleaning Up Old Sets
wokajablocka replied to Ice_Planet_Dude's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Dont quote me but I think a warm iron (not hot) will do the trick, just make sure you start on a low heat them slowly bring it up hotter and hotter until they are flat. Id wait for a conformation before melting your sails but as long as its not too hot it shouln't hurt. Im interested in how you go. -
The same for me my co-worker found this on Gizmodo and sent the link to me. Looks cool ans I want one.

Nice Mini scale endor base prateek, also nice to see your own origianl AT-AT design. I like the legs but the body and the head look a little off but at this scale its hard to be accurite. I think if you chose a small element to replace the 1x1 round stud on the side of the cockpit to represent the side cannons (or what ever they are) but this may make it too bulky? Maybe this peice Tap 1x1. The Shuttle is good as well, very similar to the Advent calendar. Not sure if you could put another 1x1 square stud behind the cockpit to extend it out a little, or may be it will look too long then? That clear LLD window makes it look a little funny as its hard to see but still is great. Like Lego envy said its cool to see peoples randitions of mini sacles. Its a hard scale to build as your limited to size but its interesting to see how many diffrent build there are out there for the same vehicle.

The shadow version looks cool. I like the legs and needed to take another look at them as for some reason they look like a diffrent build but they are the same. Always outdoing your self Mood, keep it up!

Man that was fast but not as fast as people posting on it . Great idea and execution. Simple sceen and simple build nicly done . Would like to see the door eye on it to give it that authentic touch. Can wait to see tha updated pic. Wonder if there will be anything eles added in the next pic? I really need to get started on my entry!

Nice build, it capturs the sceen perfectly. Also you've done a good job on lighing as well.

Your right Batman, Lego will never stop using stickers. They are a much cheaper way to produce desired prints with out jacking the price of set up by making them all printed. Stickers vs Printing both have their strong and weak points (but can carry on about Stickers vs print in another thread). We have more an more sets comming with other company logos and Im for one to say yeah, as long as its not putting the price of sets up too much. Lego would have to pay some sort of commission to use their trade marks which in turn dose raise set prices.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
wokajablocka replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think some of C-3PO's detail printing is too dark and should be the light gold colour like the origianl one but with the new print. Those dark parts at the top dont look accurite at all . The new printed eyes are welcoming though. -
You have put a lot of hard work and time into bringing those little plastic bricks to life. Great animation, lighting and camera work. Well deserved pat on the back .
-
I agree, they are not very useful as speach bubbles but Im sure someone will find a great use for them.

As soon as I saw this creation it was instanly reconisable as a female figure. They way you've have made curvey legs, thin waist and that skirt is just awsome. Also noticed that she is wearing heigh heals, another nice touch.

Nice little outback shack. I would be nice to have a Lego koala or a kangaroo to put next to the shack. Santa must be pissed as if he sliped on a dry roof .
