  1. The movie set were on display un Nuremberg and the boxes and sets itself looked pretty final to me. Still, they were in the last room with Agents, SW, Marvel and other themes, and it was not easy to get a good view and memorize in the short time I had. Information overflow! The boxes and the sets were much darker than the animated sets. They had a different logo than the animated show, and to my surprise also a nickelodeon logo, but it was different in size and style. There were three sets, IIRC. I didn't make out any minifig details, sorry about that. The biggest set was once again called "Turtle Lair Attack", which was strange to see so soon after the first one. It was huge, dark and full of detail. Three floors I believe with street level top floor and sewer as the lowest floor. I don't think there were any vehicles coming with it, but it was really huge and I would say it was a little over 100€. The mid size one was a truck with trailer plus a smaller vehicle. It didn't look bad but I remember asking myself in how far this is a turtles set. It could have been anything, actually. But it's just me and I remember the turtles from the 80s and had a very specific idea about their universe. This looked like 70€ The smallest was the new party wagon - or whatever it is called. We all have seen the pictures, it is basically a van with huge wheels. In the middle a door / ramp opens. I think it was 6-wide but I might be wrong. So it seemed really not that big, which I liked. Difficult to estimate a price, but probably 40€ There should definitely be a small set, or they take the animated sets as small and count all the turtles sets together as one line, might be. The animated ones we have all seen. I saw the Rawket in person and I seriously don't know what to think of it. The other ones seemed whacky but nice. Especially the big figs looked like straight from the show. They're not my cup of tea but if you like them in the show, these are for you!
  2. The biggest one is an 80$ set, holds 3 minifigs and is this one (this is the front, the cockpit is kind of on top, where the structured part is): I believe it comes with a very small (10$ish) spacecraft, which had an organic look to it, like a flying cylinder, like the collectors ship from Mass Effect in very small scale with 2 small movable wings on the side, it was either black or very dark (brown?). The 20$ set was the one with the 5 beams (wings?) folding out, we had pictures of it already. The lava playset was probably 30$ish, but if they add more, it might become bigger. The collector I didn't see. Just the Guardians (except Drax and Raccoon) plus Ronan.
  3. We didn't talk to the average tour guide. I cannot get into detail here. I asked my colleague about if he saw the Raccoon and he said he didn't. Besides that I had a much better look at the stuff than he did. We also got the info that GotG will be mainline in Germany, what kind of surprised me, as I figured this would be an exclusive, like the Avengers sets were.
  4. It was pretty small, not like the Agents base we got. It was just a platform and a small river of lava / ooze (whatever it was supposed to be). The smallest one up left is also the smallest single spacecraft. I estimate it at $20. It looked very much like in the comic, but the Lego version is dark blue with yellow. The lowest picture seems an awful lot like the Milano, but think about the nose being shorter and the cockpit sitting more on top. And add more colors, blue and yellow. One big news, a colleague of mine confirmed to me that there will be 4 GotG sets. He was absolutely sure they told him at the Lego booth and I was not too sure, but I also heard something like this. What I saw was 3 sets, or I didn't understand the layout. As I said, it was pretty hectic and all models were prelims. It could be that the smallest set it simply in the $10 range, so it might have been 2 figures and something very small that I didn't identify as a standalone set.
  5. It's of course not as flat as a pyramid, there are side panels and the upper decks are connected to those. Still, those side panels fold down entirely, so if you open it up, the underside, side panels, and upper decks lie completely flat on the table. My first impression of the model was, that it was not as high and sitting much more on the ground than the previous one. Having said that, I own only the midi model, so I might be wrong. I liked it a lot more than the old System ISD, the overall shape looks better, more menacing. Still, being the one set I was looking forward for the most, I was a little disappointed. No figures on the bridge (I didn't figure out where the pilots are going to be seated) and perhaps just no big surprises. But that's just me and I am sure this is much better than the previous one and an amazing set. I think it was different to the painters cap. The Advent calendar figures were all displayed in a show case, and I didn't take a too close look at it. I just remember there was Riekan (sp?) and Tatooine Luke, which was a surprise, I had my money on Hoth Luke. The pilot seemed to be a normal pilot, forgot what the helmet looked like.
  6. That's the name of the thing. I don't think it's from Italy, though. It looks like a bulky shoulder wing plane that could land on the water, with a huge, imposing body, the wings end in differently angled smaller wings (which was done through Bionicle pieces, might not be final). It's going to be amazing in the movie. And also hopefully in the final Lego model. Still, it has a very special, curvy shape that is not too easy to make out of bricks to make a quick prelim model. It had shorter wings (which were also not swept forwards, I think). It was blue and not too big. (GotG=) The smallest ship was more bright than the other small ship coming with the Milano, and it had four yellow bars, that can fold out in all directions. It was dark blue / yellow. Was there a bold guy.... I couldn't say. Honestly, writing and thinking about this more, it could be that this is going to be awesome. What I saw was at an early stage. I am pretty sure the big ship comes with Starlord, Ronan and Gamora, as they were all there with the prelim model. Groot was close to the Lava playset. Knowing Lego, I believe we gotta "collect them all!" to get the core team.
  7. The ISD lies flat down on the table, the underside is entirely flat and not angled as the original model, that makes it stable and gives it enough space I believe. It has a fold out handle on top and as others have mentioned, it is heavy, but stable. It might not be everyones cake the way it looks (being not too high), but I like it, as it looks menacing and smooth. There is not as much interior as I would have liked to see, I remember it being very dark with black and dark grey, no strange yellow colors or anything. I saw Vaders chamber on the left side of the ship, in the back, the other side was kind of empty. Inbetween, running from the middle to the back there was a structure holding the tower when attached. In the front I believe there was a hole in the bottom and what I believe some weapon shelfs but seriosly, don't nail me down, I didn't get such a good look on it. For the cantina, I think they had their instruments, being the little box, and 2 pipes. I remember the new face on Luke, color of the Landspeeder, new torso on Ben and Sandtrooper, all this. I think they had their instruments. I remember that the booth where Han sits is actually so tiny and busy that you cannot see the floor at all. There are 2 chairs being 2x4, a table with 2x4 and that's it. It could always be that they add something to the cantina, but I wouldn't hope for it. It doesn't look like there is anything planned and to be honest, there is nothing missing (except a ton of figures). Droid detector at the entrance, Han's booth, room for the band, bar, it's all there. I believe I forgot to mention that there were no new Microfighters, which was a bit of a let down, cause I love the X-Wing and I would have liked to see a chibi AT-AT.
  8. I couldn't say if it was different to be honest, sorry. It doesn't come with a stand or any other ground stuff. The model looks amazing, but about same size as last one. It looks more heavy with a bit more detail, though. I focused more on the figures, though. One red pilot was in the cockpit, the rebel figure seemed to have a new torso and the Nunb figure was entirely new with molded head and looked amazing. Seriously, those figures were having so much detail, it was amazing. Like all previous versions it holds 2 figures (or help me if I didn't get your question). The interior has those new parts from the Friends or Turtles lines, where you can put the minifig legs into. The interior looked much better than previous versions, no yellow or any strange color. The sticker in the back was the same as in the Wampa set (where it was first used I think). I couldn't honestly say if they were white or grey. I couldn't honestly say, it looked very much like the one from the Planet set. A few Sandies have that small black thing there. Not all seem to have it, though. I tried to do some research but didn't find out what it is supposed to be. The new Sandy has that on the upper left chest, as the trooper pictured. The back pack was the same as ever, the helmet was - I believe old, the pants as well. See my opinion about the updates above. We're in the same boat here.
  9. smaller. And in the turret of the bigger ship they had a molded head that looked an awful lot like a Bothan.
  10. Ronan was in the biggest set, I am pretty sure. The others I don't recall, but Drax and the raccoon will obviously be in the lineup. Also I would estimate the Milano at the size / price of the Avengers Jet, which was 80€ over here. It's not anywhere near ISD size. I would say his mask was printed, so it might be a 2-sided head, but really, don't nail me down on it. And again - those were not final, unlike the SW sets (except Rebels). For some reasons the most interesting parts for me were at the very end of the tour and I've been through the Jungle Friends, Disney Princesses, Creators, Movie Sets, Arctic and lots more before I came to Marvel & SW. I even had a look at the mixels and the Trevi fountain afterwards. Btw., the chairs in the Milano were directed in the same way as in the Avengers jet (pilot to the front, 2 in the back facing each other), but all were under one big hood. Yeah, I remember those strange things.
  11. The one in the Tron vehicle had a black suit and black neck tie, the suit jacket was open and the tie not really straight. I believe black hair. They all had the new shooting guns in white I believe, which looks amazing for the Agents (and not for SW). The villain in that set was amazing, he was mostly red with many flame thrower pieces and he was on a red surf board. The villain in the tank had 2 giant metal fists and kind of a metal helmet on, the agent had ( I believe) no suit jacket but just a white shirt and neck tie. The smallest set I don't remember but we have seen pictures of these already. And for the truck - it was simply too full of detail that I don't remember the minifigs. Plus - I was already falling back and the tour was really fast, and the next theme was SW... As others said, in the flying huge thing (which can sort of transform) is a white hazmaz guy plus an agent. And the color of that vehicle is amazing, but it's pretty huge in total. The boxes you might have all seen already, but they look amazing in person, really dark and cool.
  12. They had only the current ones, no trace of the rumored Smaug set. (which was a little disappointing) Backpack and helmet are 2 separate pieces and it has a karma skirt. It could have been the old Greedo with more paint (like Jarjar), I am not too sure as I never owned the cantina or the shuttle. Agents was my favorite theme and I shared some thoughts over in the action forum!
  13. I saw the source material that's why I might be a bit biased, cause in the movie they look awesome And they were clearly not final. I agree with you about the Agents, those were the winner for me at the fair! ... and I cannot remember if I saw the raccoon, I am confused by seeing the hi res image just a couple of days before...
  14. The biggest GotG set has the Milano starship and a very small one-man fighter, which was black. Medium one was the Lava playset and smallest one was another one-man fighter craft, more colorful than the first. I believe 80€ / 40€ / 20€. Edit: In the cockpit of the starship was the female character with yellow (?) skin (head looked like Black Widow in angry version with the strange cheek lines), Groot was in the medium set, Starlord with / without Mask in the big and medium, the big one also had what I supposed to be either the collector or another villain. The pilot of the little space craft was .. male. I don't know what he was. Edit2: The Blackbird looked smaller than the Avengers plane and was blue with not much space for figures I believe.
  15. I am a huge Marvel / SW fan but this theme was my personal winner, seeing them all in person now. I am not so much into the truck, even if the interior is nice and it has lots of play features, mainly because it's black, not my favorite color if it's used too much. The smaller vehicles, though, especially the Tron-vehicle and the punching tank were just so great. Over the top villains like in a Metal Gear Solid game plus military vehicles is a win/win for me. The only thing I dislike is that they're wearing suits now, and being even more into action than before, this doesn't feel right and too much like a copy of the Playmobil agents. Also, I didn't get if there is a female agent, cause I would love to have one obviously.
  16. Saw them all in person but found this now googling "Lego X-Men Jet" = http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BSr9XnXc-Cw/UuB3nIknWMI/AAAAAAAAPTo/Hqg7S7s3jaw/s1600/LegoWolverineSentinel.jpg - which is the figure I was talking about. I guess this wasn't posted here yet.
  17. I had the chance to see the new sets in person and I am honestly a bit underwhelmed - no, I am not trolling. They all looked really final. Sets, minifigures, packages. All of them seemed to be pretty final. Snowspeeder is still the same old 4500 set with very little, very minor changes but it is sort of even bigger and more bulky. When 4500 was already too big compared to the source, it is even bigger now. Luke, Dak, Snowtrooper. Nothing else, no turret, nada. Rebels sets were demonstrated and didn't seem 100% final. The bigger ship has a double cockpit and a turret, 2 escape pods at the sides and kind of a docking area for the smaller ship in the back. That's it. For the fans I would say. The chopper droid seemed final but the other figures not. The AT-AT didn't get much attention from Lego and also not from me, as I have 4483 which I think was years ahead for it's time and still looks good today. Has been discussed already here. The cantina looks tiny in person. There is just not much to it. Ben is new with his brown coat printed on, Luke has a new face, Greedo and the Bith band look great, Landspeeder has new color, Dewback looks awesome, Sandtrooper is - again - new. He has the small black thing from the backpack on his chest printed. Helmet seems to be the same old one. Oh boy, Lego. You and your slight updates. You hate us army builders, right? They were proud of the ISD and demonstrated it. No place in the tower. Shooting missiles, all the little turrets move from a wheel in the back. Folding it up, there is a play area that is way better than in the last one but still lacks detail. The microfig holo is a nice feature, mouse droid and - new Stormtroopers with leg prints. (please check above what I think of slight updates so soon after we got BPs) The officer had a new hat (not the Western version anymore) The B-Wing looks great, the figures (the Numb guy and the Rebel Soldier) look amazing. The Advent calendar seriously has Tatooine Luke. Which was a big disappointment for me since I was hoping for Hoth Luke.
  18. I am a bit disappointed by the GotG sets, the Milano ship is definitely really difficult to get right in Lego - in that small scale, but the result still looks a bit sad. The color was really wonky, while the source material looks really nice and sleek with the blue and yellow. Also the wings looked strange with lot of Bionicle pieces that I usually don't like too much. Still, the ship holds three minifigures, which is nice. The brickbuilt Groot figure looks terrible, but that's probably just me as I am not a huge fan of brickbuilt figures. The playset (with some lava and an erased platform) looked boring, the smaller scale spaceships once again looked terrible. I saw the source and other toys and they were meant to look great, the Lego ones were just disappointing and something you and me could easily do with a couple of bricks. Of course I hold my final judgment until when we see finalized models or pictures, but the first impression is not good. The X-Men Jet was a nice surprise, as it looks pretty good. Just strange that it comes with Wolverine and Magneto - again! That's an odd choice as there are many that deserve to be made. Storm looks nice, though. And I'm not too deep into the comics so I couldn't honestly say what the purple brickbuilt figure is. Once again, you get me, that figure was terrible.
  19. I would have loved to have Exo Force return, which was probably my favorite theme besides Indy and SW in the past 10 years, but I'll definitely take a closer look at the Agents sets once they're out. I liked the volcano set and the giant robot, even if I never got them.
  20. I actually meant for a Microfighters set and now I am surprised to see we will get a System scale one.
  21. TLC didn't change the Snowspeeder too much since 4500. I would give a lot to see them finally resign it on a major level. Major level. But when I read "2x spring loaded shooters" I am afraid it will become even less accurate. Hasbro actually did a good job in providing the spring loaded missiles plus a movie accurate version of the cannons to have you chose which one to attach. The Cantina looks better and better with the actual bar. Not to start the whole minifig discussion here again but having 2 or even 3 musicians would give away the chance to get some once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to get Wuher or Ponda or Dr. Evazan. I would take any new figure over duplicates, as I could get those through BL anytime. For the Landspeeder I once again hope for a nice redesign, as I have the previous one. The ISD is going to be great. Not enough figs but finally a capital ship for my troops, hopefully with a nice interior. Very much looking forward to it. Not much to say about the AT-AT, but it seems to be finally a competitor to my old 4483!
  22. Imagine this news in the SW or LotR section - would we only have 4 pages of replies? Any great MOC would do better in the amount of feedback it would get I believe. I wonder how this line will be doing.
  23. The set is really good and certainly a dream come true for many fans and not even that expensive (200€ is a lot of money, don't get me wrong, but not for what you get here). Personally, I am more thrilled for the Mos Isley Cantina, so I am afraid that is where my money goes. Still, I have to admit this set is tempting. Perhaps I will be turned to the yellow side of the force once I get my hands on the blind bags. 2,50 for Simpsons minifigs? Count me in!
  24. Not a huge fan of the fact that the Cantina has a Landspeeder that seems very similar to the last iteration. Still, 2 bith musicians, Greedo and a Dewback make this one WANTED by me. Btw, it has a see-through dome so I guess we get a new part here. I hold back my judgement about the ISD and the AT-AT, but both could have come with more minifigs, I would say.
  25. I just got the Microfighter X-Wing and I really love it. Not only the package is great with the classic logo and no Darth Maul or random Clone on it, the model is really nice, the minifig is great and it's simply great for the price you pay. Much better than those lame planets. My prediction for the summer wave: AT-AT (yeah - this is gonna be so cool!) Snowspeeder Y-Wing N-1 LAAT/i Obi-Wans Delta JSF
