  1. What a great review, thank you for that! I could kick myself not to have gotten this on the s@h sale in June! I think the design is very original and both small enough to play with but holding a good number of play features. And with this, it is one of the better Agents sets in my opinion. Also the villain is one of the best of the entire range in my book. I was afraid the front wheels are not perfect on smooth surfaces and I don't have carpet, so I too understand it is a bit annoying. The back wheels angle or function I never saw as a problem but you are right, if they could be moved backwards, that would make a great look!
  2. Now this might finally be my first Ninjago set ever, as it is that awesome. I really appreciate all the funny elements thrown together in a good equal manner without being too whacky - and still having all those asian elements that make Ninjago so great. I was always more a fan of the asian elements than of those whacky vehicles which were a little too off, and this is getting back to the roots. This is 110% Chinese Ghost story. Btw, I believe the dog is supposed to be a japanese Akita. They do come in grey from time to time. I guess I'm not the only one strongly reminded of Okami when seeing the dog, am I?
  3. I missed the hot rod news - this is amazing! Hope they have some good colors and not too bright. And I hope they are moving away from the racing helmet figures, besides for the Audi where it makes sense. But the Ford and Chevie cars are probably street cars and I would love to see some more civilian drivers for those.
  4. Ford Mustang... Amazing. It's the one car I had in mind when I saw the first Speed Racer sets. I hope this comes in dark blue / white racing stripes.
  5. There are a couple of sets that I find interesting, mainly the Battlefront packs, if they are close enough to the movie figures. Still, other races on the sides of the rebels would be amazing. And not only snow and camo gear, please. I don't expect much from the freeze chamber, to be honest. I think the scene lives from all the characters that cross pathes here: Vader, Fett, Leia, Han, Lando, Chewie, 3PO. I can't see them adding more than 4 figs, so this is the light version of the Freeze chamber. Cooling chamber perhaps. Couldn't care less about the micro fighters this wave, couldn't say anything about E7 stuff for obvious reasons, but 2 other things: Escape pod? Hoth set? We just had a pod which was an amazing set and isn't even that expensive these days, I honestly don't see a reason to already have another one. And we're getting a 250€ Hoth base and got tons of sets in the past years. Why the 30€ set? Where is the Dagobah set we're all waiting for, Lego?
  6. What classic themes I would like to see revived: Adventurers, Exo Force What license I would love to see in Lego that is never going to happen: James Bond, Mass Effect What new theme I would love to see: Space (size and quality like SW ships), History (Romans, Greeks etc.)
  7. No offense taken / no worries! 1254 vs 1329 pieces, correct. But the mandibles are a little bigger and more detailed, so I'd say there goes already the major part of the additional pieces. I believe there won't be much left for a very detailed interior, but we'll see in a couple of weeks I guess.
  8. Oh dear, sorry for that. I think it looks great and the angle on the box displays that pretty well. I'll wait for more pictures but right now the Falcon looks impressive. It might be the one E7 set to get for me.
  9. It might be just me but after comparing the new with the old Falcon, it seems that the new one is a lot more flat on the top. The opening panels on the older one seemed to be angled up a bit more. On the contrary, the result might be that the interior might be even lower now. Anyone else seeing this?
  10. They look a lot like the previous versions, but what did I expect? The X-Wing sure looks nice but I'm not a huge fan of black ships, I was hoping for a grey X-Wing. The canopy is amazing, finally a new piece. Guess it'll take some time to see a grey X-Wing from E7 or a classic one using that piece, though. The Falcon sure looks cool in that shot.. But all in all I was hoping for a bit more. (And a grey X-wing...)
  11. It's not in the German catalogue, not sure about other European countries, though. But here there won't be sets in 2015 it seems. I don't think that a complete line would be exclusive to Lego stores, or did we have that?
  12. This: You'd probably need to go to Ebay or BL to get one of these, but coming from Modulars to City trains (especially the passenger trains) might leave you with a bitter aftertaste. Not only building them, but displaying them close to your Modulars. This one here is the Modular house on tracks. I know it's more money than you want to spend, but you might consider it.
  13. Yeah, same here. Or I decide not to visit this forum til July. Could be a plan. Btw - can somebody please tell me why the May 4th minifig was called Admiral Yularen but looks like from the DS meeting (older, non CW face, white uniform)? I believe he was a Colonel at that point. I am thankful for any indicator, perhaps this was mentioned already..?
  14. Got mine on Monday by post. Don't know yet if I really want to spend money on LSW, besides the ISD and a couple of micro fighters there is really nothing I would want right now - and I have a feeling the ISD falls short compared to the Shuttle Tyridium - and perhaps even the new Falcon. Better to save my credits for those.
  15. It was a preview for press - I guess they're happening everywhere in the world this week, it was nothing special. I guess Malibu Mansion is a pretty good example in how to include some non-action parts into a playset, which also contains the 2-parties-conflict, that TLC likes so much. I'm not asking for a shawarma joint set, but something more filled with life (vs conflict) would be nice. Bruce Banner is a must. We all know he's not always the Hulk. I guess the trailers should give you a good impression of its size - but let me just say, the 'real' thing is supposed to be a little bigger than a gate and a 6x6 tower. Still, I can understand how some like the set - 2 exclusive minifigs, the Hulk, a tank and a layout that is rather unique to the SH theme. That's not too shabby.
  16. I watched the movie tonight and no, I am not gonna say anything about it. But coming back looking at the sets, I feel like a couple of things could have been done better. As we all know, Hulk is not always big and green and I'm surely not alone that I would like to see "the other guy" in minifig form. But that leads to a problem, that is that the Avengers sets (also the first ones) focus on the action scenes but leave everything else almost entirely out - hence we get only Hulk but not Bruce Banner. That's why I liked the Iron Man mansion - it had civil Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, the kitchen with mixer and even the DUM-E robot and the suit in a case from IM2. That was just an amazing playset all around. Giving us only the action scenes enables to replay them but it's getting boring after a couple of times. Lego became a little too Hasbro-ish here. Same with the Quinjet. The Milano was just better in a way that it enabled you to put much more minifigs into it - together. Now the new Quinjet holds one in the cockpit and a few more in the dark cargo space. The motorbike drop is surely nice but I think it would be better to have room for more minifigs - the first Quinjet was advanced in that regard, the Milano was way superior to both. Just my 2 cents though.
  17. One of the best castle / fantasy MOCs I have ever seen! Absolutely amazing work and I love all the details and how you made it to feel really alive.
  18. The Kwik-E-Mart and the new minifigs look really nice, there is much more to them than the S1 and the house had to offer. Still, it's rather difficult to jump on a theme that asks you for 200€ already to enter (not counting the minifigs but I prefer my figs to be part of a diorama or have some vehicles).
  19. A few comments on the OT harvest: The shuttle is my favorite set of 2015, it is just amazing. Interior space, great minifigs, landing gear, great looks from all angles and it is huge! I'm just missing Endor Luke and a helmet for Leia would have been nice. They seriously need to make an Endor Luke poly or include it in some future Endor / Ewok / speeder bike set. The black version from the final duel doesn't replace it too well, as he needs the camo poncho. The Final Duel seems to be a good playset, but doesn't stand a chance against the cantina from last year (same price probably). There is just not that much to do except reenacting the ... surprise - final duel! Perhaps adding some rather new minifigs would have helped. And I wonder how things are decided at TLC, regarding new minifigs. But giving us royal guards that were just in a battle pack - in which the didn't belong first of all - is a rather strange move. Sure they belong to the scene, but couldn't they have known 2 years ago that they're going to make this set? Besides that, the DS battle pack should have had a Stormtrooper, a DS trooper, officer and gunner anyway. The calendar seems a bit more interesting than the one from last year. Stormtrooper, Ewok, Jawa! Printed 3PO legs are very welcome and another R2 is also not too bad. Just not sure what to think about the white Hoth trooper. Are they all going to be white now in the new Hoth set? I always thought there are some with darker clothes, brown pants as well. It is a nice figure, though. I just hope they throw them together nicely and not make them all white. We'll see. In general, about OT, I seriously hope they might design an own OT box style to set the line apart from PT, ST, EU, CW, Rebels, UCS. (Not that I expect we are getting any CW anytime anymore) I dislike the Clones, Yodas, Mauls on the box so much and I would wish they return to an updated 1999 / 10th anniversary box. That was legendary, all other boxes not. And the excuse that they have to follow the package guide is nonsense, once you take a look at Hasbro: Black Series, Kenner style. Having said all this, I am afraid OT sets will becoming less and less in the next years with Disney riding the SW horse (to death) and releasing a new movie every year. UCS sets will stay OT probably, but I personally will miss the many middle and lower priced OT sets a lot, they were always fun.
  20. It is really a great model, the design is mostly sub-excellent but the size of it is just enormous. It would make a great display piece but I don't know if this wins against the Slave I, and for both I don't have the budget this year. Especially with Hoth on the horizon.
  21. And I thought since Hasbro is making those (terrible) Hero Mashers figures for SW, the gap of "build-able action figure" is closed. Or is it that Hasbro makes the Rebels and Lego OT & PT? Curious to see these but not overly optimistic how they'll turn out.
  22. I'm happy for everyone who loves it and wants to get one, but this is a pass without hesitation for me. The design is OK but not really the strongest Mr Bessa delivered so far, as it seems too busy and chaotic. The choice for micro figs is understandable but doesn't look too nice and the display stand reminds me of the Tumbler's one. Here it just gets too obvious that they just throw in a couple of minifigs to make the fans purchase this, as it is now a "minifig set" and the fans gotta have it for their exclusive figs. 2 series of Avengers sets and no Fury yet for us in a small set? What is that about? I don't get it. I think the set could have been so much nicer using minifigs and having an interior that fits them, like the several Star Destroyers had. I would have loved to see a chunky Quinjet that carries 2 figures, like Vaders TIE in the Death Star playset. Then, the price would have been nicer with 300€ for 3000 pcs, but 350€ is just a little too high. If I would have to chose between spending that amount on a PS4 or Xone and a Lego set, with the Shield Carrier they do make my choice pretty simple.
  23. Amazing. Love the snow and ice, looks so realistic and natural!
  24. OK, couple of thoughts: 75106 sounds like it is an Ep2 or Ep3 Acclamator - which is rather strange, as we just got the Star Destroyer and they seem very similar. In the past the 3 System-scale destroyers were carefully placed with enough years between them, so this seems an odd move. 75093 Final Duel - sigh, I wanted this to be a 20-30€ set. And while I love the Cantina as a playset and would want more playsets in that size and quality, I seriously don't think that either location nor characters are interesting enough from the final duel to judge a 70-80€ set. 75094 Tyridium - so happy that this is in this price range. Since the CW shuttle I wanted a redesign from this and there is no doubt it has a rebels crew (name, 75093 and the fact that all 3 shuttles had an imperial crew so far). Here is hoping for Chewie, new Han, new Leia, 3PO and rebel scout
  25. Wow, this came really unexpected. Sounds more like April fools than something real to me, but as always we judge once we see them.
